I have had nothing but trouble at this Rite Aid with what normally should be a very simple task. There are usually delays and several other weird/strange problems, and I just have had to put up with this. However, the last time I picked up the pills, I noted only 11 pills were filled. I had no verbal or written explanation for this. I stopped in to the store the next day and asked the manager Joseph, and Bijal, the female pharmacist (from India ? ), for a written explanation. Even though I requested face to face a written explanation, so far I have had no verbal or written explanation whatsoever. I happened to read an article about pharmacists who steal drugs/medications and am placing the link here. I plan to file a complaint with the local police and I will go to the top if necessary. I suggest that people start counting the pills they they are paying for, they might be surprised at what they find. Be wary and stay away from this very bad pharmacy. It must be working as these modern day behemoths are spreading like a bad cold (poor pun). This one does a decent job getting my prescriptions out quickly, and the drive thru option is a nice touch for those unable to park a car or walk into the store. The crew is friendly and helpful. Too, I have been known to pick up a chocolate bar in the candy isle, and a birthday card in the excessively large greeting card isle. I bow to modernity, although I miss the personal touch of the old fashioned Rexall (now a cool Starbucks here in Newtown).

I then followed up with a phone call to see if they needed anything else - they said nothing. When I went into 5 hours later to pick up my drugs they were not there - they said I had to call to confirm my transfers ... which I had done. Anyway I let that slide and then dropped off my old prescriptions in person to transfer them. They said it would take an hour to fill - I came back in 2 hours - only to find that the prescription wasn't filled because they needed to know if I wanted generic or name brand. My question - why the heck didn't they call to ask that? Anyway, I'm not pleased with my switch so far ... and not sure that there are any pharmacies around here that know how to treat their customers or use technology.

Appointments are required, but easily obtained through their website. All you need to provide is name and address, health insurance information (if insured) and knowledge of the shots you want. Scheduling is handled directly on that site, with location convenient to you offered as alternatives. Once selected, the available dates/times are shown and you click the best for your needs. Mine was made for the following week. Upon arrival, I checked in with the pharmacy, showed my photo ID, vaccination history card and health insurance information, answered a few questions about Covid symptoms or exposure and took a seat. Within minutes, a pharmacist approached, introduced herself, and took me to a small private room where the injections were quickly given. I had two that day. Bandaids were applied to protect the tiny wound and I was out the door. No significant side effects that evening nor the next day, except for minor discomfort at the injection site. No fuss. No muss. My only suggestion would be that they make an effort to make that room more comfortable, because it appeared they were still using it for storage in addition to seeing patients.

Makes no sense when it's for an anxiety or pain medication. I realize there are laws for the pain meds but those laws say 28 days. (There are times you may need more) Seems to be a flaw but you still need to call every time on the 28th day to confirm. This may be the systems communication with insurance companies or just their policies. Very confusing. The other thing is their text messaging is bizarre. There are times it tells me something is ready 15 minutes after I just picked up different prescriptions. The system will remind you almost everyday there are meds waiting. Very annoying. The wait time when calling is usually good but the recording is horrible, as you listen on hold. Store is in a great location with lots of Handicapped parking. I do recommend them but you have to stay on top of when your refills are due. A good not great experience so far.

They go above and beyond what a good pharmacy will do, and tell you it is no problem, even when you know it has to be. The other people who work there are amazing, too. The woman who stocks the store is the best, if they don't have it, she will get it. If you are too sick and can't make it to the pharmacy, they will bring it to you.
