I was automatically transferred to this CVS after Rite Aid closed. Unfortunately my experience has not been good. You can not even talk to a live person when you call with a problem, You have to go through a bunch of prompts. At the end the recorded voice tells you to leave a message, and they will get back to you when they feel like. Hopefully another drug store reopens the Rite Aid in Summit Square. They readily answered all questions when you called. Customer service is poor. read more

Checked in at 3:20 Nurse practitioner took someone a head of me. She saw me waiting and didn't warn me that she may not be able to take me as they were closing. I had to ask if her if there would be an availablity.. she saw me waiting, and would've let me wait there..a nd perhaps not taken me. I believe I have an inter muscular infection and if I need to go to an urgent care. Hours are limited as well as the pharmacy hours. She should have let me know.. when she saw me waiting. This rating is for the young guy who rang me up tonight. I was buying the 10-pafk of Christmas cards, and as I put in the phone number, he alerted me to two coupons that were expiring tonight totaling $10. He then suggested i should get something else since the cards were less. So i got a small bag of pistachios. Seems minor and trivial, but it's the little things that make the difference. Had he not told me about the expiring coupons and their value, I would not have gotten to take advantage of them and get my cards and pistachios for just over $1. Appreciate his alertness and regard for helping me use my coupons and save money. read more

I never imagined I'd be the type of person who reviews a chain pharmacy, but here we are. I'm fairly certain this location exists and earns revenue solely because of its convenient location. I've used this pharmacy for years. I'm in at least once a month. And I cannot emphasize enough how poor the customer service at the pharmacy is. The employees are miserable, unprofessional, and rude. I've seen individuals behind the counter dressed in street clothes, on their phones, and whether they are employees or not, it's a bad look. And this is coming from a millennial. I patiently wait to get my scripts every month, while the people in front of me ask their questions, figure out their discounts, confirm insurance, and pay for their items. More times than I can count, I'll ask the employee to ring up my other items (we're talking like less than 5 items, max), and they'll say "no the line is too long". This wouldn't bother me, at all, had they not just done this exact thing for all the customers in front of me. Two people is not a long line. You either ring everyone up, or you ring no one up. Just because I'm young and unassuming doesn't mean others get special treatment. Changing pharmacies is a hassle, but it's less of a hassle to do that then spend over 30 minutes in the Newtown CVS every time I go to get three things. read more

Standard CVS drug store and food market in Newtown Borough. To my eyes they all look the same and really have little to offer other than prescription drugs. Everything else is predictable and overpriced. I am surprised to see that the floor has industrial carpeting throughout, as it is difficult to clean. In a place frequented by sick people such flooring is not optimized for a healthy environment. I prefer hard surfaces that can be swept and washed often. Maybe this carpet is removable, but the question remains, how often? The answer, not often enough. read more

Will never go here again because of the pharmacy. Nothing like being fat-shamed in front of a room full of people. I have metabolic issues that are not in my control. My favorite question from the pharmacist, "can't you just diet?" No way?!?! Why didn't I think of that?!? Went into CVS during the COVID-19 lockdown to buy some candy and sent photos to cheer up a loved one in the hospital. I noticed the photo print kiosks were out of service, so I proceeded to the checkout line and asked how to print photos. I was very rudely told to get out of the way for other customers while checking out. As if I wasn't a customer myself. I placed my order and waiting in line again for the same older lady with short blond hair to tell me to step aside AGAIN when all I hoped to ask was how soon I should expect my pictures to be ready since the app was not allowing me to choose in store print. I am 23 years old and have NEVER been treated so rudely by another adult especially during a time when everyone is struggling to get by. Very disappointed. read more

The pharm clerk wasn't wearing a mask properly. It dangled from one ear with half her face exposed. When brought to the attention of the pharmacy manager (a pharmacist, no less!) she explained that she simply didn't care. In the meanwhile they have a sign right near the clerk station explaining that customers have to wear masks and must wear them properly. I've always hear that this is the worst of the local CVS pharmacies. Now I know why. read more

Always a long wait at the pharmacy. Every experience here I seem to get one person whose friendly and helpful and two or three who just don't seem to care. Went in for a routine pickup, auto fill, the annoying automated phone call left me messages saying it was ready, I get there and stand in line. Somehow they have multiple accounts for me and can't find the correct one. (Possibly not this CVS fault I was entered multiple times, but this was a routine auto fill for a prescription I have picked up there previously) I should have gotten the helpful woman's name at the drop off counter to give her credit, But at this point my break was over and I didn't have time to wait for it to be counted out. What the h--- CVS. This is the only location I've ever had problems with. Otherwise the franchise is pretty on point. read more

This is a standard CVS, that is clean, and has most common perscriptions ready for you within 15 minutes. My only problem with the place is how poorly organized the store is. I'm not sure what the reasoning is behind which shelves are stocked with what in which aisles. Please re-organize! read more

I have been a customer for many years here and finally just couldn't take anymore and switched to Walgreens and I couldn't be happier. Recently I experienced the practice of this pharmacy to just automatically give me a generic drug when I wanted the brand name. This was done without my knowledge ; no one ever asked me about this or told me they were going to do it. I went to the Board of Pharmacy and reviewed the Pennsylvania laws regarding this and they cannot LEGALLY do this without first telling the customer they are doing this and without telling the customer the difference in price between the 2 and telling the customer that they always have a right to request the brand name. Then this week when I had a question about one of my drugs I had to endure a conversation with a confused and rude young technician and then talk to an angry, hostile male pharmacist. This store could not care less about customer respect and acknowledging that the customer is the person who is paying for their jobs. They were going to charge me an outrageous amount of money for a one month supply of one of my drugs. When I called and spoke with the insurance company they told me that for less money I could get a 3 month supply of the same drug at Walgreens! CVS has many serious issues- little to no professionalism of their pharmacists, confused and immature staff working as technicians, callous disregard for their customers and illegal pharmacy practices. I strongly suggest that neighbors in Newtown stop accepting this bad behavior and these business practices and go elsewhere for a much better service. read more

Most CVS's are the same. However, at this one, parking is tight and the pharmacy takes forever to fill you prescription.

Your average CVS. Clean and organized but the service is not very friendly. About a month ago, I tried twice, 2 different days, to go print print photos from the kiosks but they weren't working both times and the cashier was unable to give me a time or day when they would be back up and working. If you are going to offer these services, then you should at least show an effort to get the problem fixed as soon as possible. Another time I went to return something and I had paid with a split tender, part cash and part CVS gift card. The kid at the register did a quick refund and put it all back on a gift card. I pointed out on the receipt that I paid part cash and he said, oh yeah it won't let me return it any other way, it has to all go on the gift card. I work in retail and I know there's a way to refund the tender properly. He didn't even make an effort to call the manager. I didn't get his name but he had punk hair and piercings. I made one more attempt, was rejected, and I left. If it was more than $4 in cash I would have asked for the manager, but I didn't want to make a fuss as I had had a long day already. Please train your employees properly. read more

I'm just writing a review about the Minute clinic inside this pharmacy. I brought my two sick kids to this clinic before leaving for a short vacation. Normally I would have taken them to our pediatrician but we had a flight to catch that day. Ashley Martin NP saw my kids, and she was awesome. She was very friendly, patient, and even though my kids hate medical visits, they didn't seem to mind it at all. She examined them thoroughly and diagnosed them. She even called the next day to see how they were doing and offered to call in a prescription to a nearby pharmacy close to our hotel in South Carolina. The next time I get sick I look forward to going to this Minute Clinic. Thank you Ms Martin! read more

I like this Cvs. Prices are good. They have everything you'd expect in a regular drugstore. The only thing is the staff needs to be trained on how to sign up for a care card. The associate I delt with had to ask for help muliple times while processing my care card. read more

The Newtown Boro CVS is clean and prices are average but the sales are good. The service is painfully slow...not just one time...EVERY TIME.

As far as the store goes, it's your normal, run of the mill pharmacy with the standard items at the usual prices. Dealing with the pharmacy staff, however, is an experience I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. They are rude, arrogant and seem to feel that dealing with customers in any way is an inconvenience. I have been coming here since they opened, but due to the way they handled my most recent prescription, I will now be traveling futher to use the Wrightstown location. The pharmacy staff here is completely rude and need to be retrained on their jobs. I visited their location 6 times in 7 days trying to fill a prescription. They gave me the run around and so many different stories on why they could not fill it (need preauthorization, it's a controlled substance so we cannot hold your RX - found out this is untrue and held up the process, your doctor needs to call your insurance company, and the final straw "this RX is a photocopy and isn't real". REALLY? I feel that because I was trying to fill a script which happened to be a controlled substance, they either didn't want to / didn't know how to so they kept turning me away to make calls on my own, where I ultimately found out they were lying every single time. The arrogant attitude was appalling. To suggest I brought you a photo copy of a RX for a controlled substance is insulting. Like I'm some sort of scammer or something. The time I wasted back and forth to this location 6x to successfully fill the RX was ridiculous. I work full time and I have other things to do. Never filling an RX here again. read more
