Mom and Pop pharmacies are quickly getting pushed out of the economy just due to the. nature of the business....dealing with insurances is becoming increasingly more complex, dealing with doctors is tricky because their time is valuable, and dealing with the public who constantly wants things faster, better, and on their schedule makes doing business difficult. That being said, Harry and the rest of the staff at Maxwell pharmacy shine like Hollywood stars when it comes to handling doctors, insurance, and their customers. I love coming here because they treat me with respect, with kindness, their prices are fair if not good, and it all happens in under 10 minutes time. Try getting that at Walgreens, CVS, or Rite-Aid.. It just isn't happening.... they're most likely going to treat you like a criminal or worse (if your medication is scheduled in any way...) and for Harry and those at Max-well Pharmacy, that just isn't an option. They always have my medication in stock, they have very accomodating hours for a family-owned business (which is hard to compete with the big boys with!! kudos!!), and they also keep the shelves stocked with various over-the-counter remedies and lifestyle aides such as crutches, walkers, canes, and other more personal assistance items for those who are getting up there in age...although I can't vouch for their pricing because I typically dont use any of that stuff, its at least there as an option. They also sell PA lottery for those who like donating their money to the State, both when you buy a ticket and when you win (HAH!). I hope that Harry and the rest are in business for a long time to come because now I'm definitely spoiled and could never get used to the shifty eyed glances and barely mumbled, "We dont have it in stock" or "That'll be ready in about 40 minutes" or "No, we know better than your doctor..." or the ever-dreaded, "Thats our *policy*!" that the drones give you in any of the larger Corporate pharmacies ever again. Thanks Max-Well Pharmacy!! . read more
