Two stars is for fast approval regarding an urgent matter…read more I was in a situation where a local Veteran organization helped me get an apartment here for 6 months. It was a last minute/last resort kind of thing. I had never rented from a place that only allowed a 6 month lease to be signed. I do not know if they were trying to see if I could afford the rent or not or if that was their actual policy. I was 100% grateful though. The move in process was fast, the remodeled unit I had was nice, and the maintenance guy was always responsive, but here is why I would not recommend moving here. I did not really deal with the leasing agents much and when I did they responded. I remember the person I told I would not be renewing the lease smack her lips and I thought that was hilarious! I paid right at $2k a month to live here with no amenities. That's $2k out of my pocket with no assistance of any kind. I do not know if this place is income based, (it definitely looks that way), but not worth 2000 bucks a month. There were issues with the kitchen sink leaking upon move in, they had contractors come out multiple times to try to fix it, and they eventually got it to stop leaking. While one of the contractors were there... he picked up my stud finder and asked if it was his because he had one just like it. My response was if he'd heard anything fall from his toolbox, he said no, and I told him it was mine. Who walks through someone else's home picking up things that do not belong to them?! Beyond unprofessional. The female who came into the unit with the contractors left energy drink cans in my bathroom and used my paper towels as if she was at her house without asking. Absolutely mind boggling! Issues with package delivery. I stayed filing BBB complaints with FedEx and UPS for leaving my items in the mailroom instead of bringing to my front door to the apartment listed on the address. The trash build up was horrendous! People throwing trash on the ground around the dumpster, having to squeeze in and out of my car when attempting to park on a hill and the first floor unit was down three flights of stairs. Look before you lease. I did not and took a loss. Days before I moved out the kitchen sink flooded in the middle of the night. Maintenance responded, had a plumber come, brought in big fans, but if my items were not already packed up they would have been ruined. I was so glad to leave. I really did not have any interaction with the neighbors except someone barking at me a couple times as I got out of my car. I'm not a dog so I never turned around. There was a weirdo who felt it was appropriate to double park his raggedy truck in the guest parking area which was very frustrating. When the neighbor across from me saw me moving out they told me they had a mold issue and was not able to be let out of their lease which sucked. I also caught neighbors allowing their animals to relieve themselves near my patio and not pick it up. Very frustrating. Overall... this part of Everett is the ghetto. Crime ridden. Stayed hearing police sirens. Something happening on Evergreen Way everyday. Two pros: There is a grocery store/ shopping center within walking distance and if you need to catch the bus for any reason a stop is close by.

However, there's only an elevator in building a and we were about to lease from building b. When I told the Leasing assistant manager, he responded to me. Oh, there is an elevator it's just not in this building.... Joy because I just like riding them up and down not to use them to get back-and-forth to my apartment. Awesome. Come on buddy do better. The whole apartment was disgusting. I can do better patchwork myself just on the fans dirt still on the kitchen counters and in the refrigerator. Disgusting The leasing manager was horrible. Thankfully, both of these people moved on to other places and there was a new manager. This new manager I actually liked however, she left by the time we move. The maintenance man Juan is amazing my son absolutely loves him and always gets a big smile whenever he's around. He really cares about this place and the people living there. Now the reason why there's one star. The week we turned in our notice to leave someone tried to break into my car. that same night someone else's car was broken into and another car was stolen. I went ahead and told the office to add that time the district manager was there she responded to me. Oh, you need to call the cops. Yes I'm aware that I just wanted to let you know what was going on. She then said oh you need to call the cops like I can't do anything for you I don't care that that happened. Not to mention all the drug addicts that are coming in and out of there. There's also a homeless person sleeping in the elevator at the time it was cold outside, so I understand why he was there, but still he was able to get into the apartments and found a nice place to sleep. There is another one that I saw when I went to take my dog out he was standing in the corner talking to himself and since I had the dog, I wasn't that worried about it. I had my hood on when I walked out the door, and I saw they took it off to make sure that I could see what he was doing only to find him right next to me. The man then took a couple steps back. walked past him and walked very fast and I almost ran into the apartment and shut the door. There's always something going on. I found out later that someone on the same floor as me is a sex offender who isn't register it sure if they are still there.

After I moved out, they failed to provide a timely, legally required itemized move-out statement. Instead, they fabricated a fraudulent $4,708 balance filled with unverified charges and an unlawful rent increase based on a defective notice. To make matters worse, they sent this unverified debt to a collection agency (Sequium Asset Solutions), damaging my credit and causing me to suffer 10 months of continuous rental denials and severe housing instability. To evade accountability, they reportedly labeled the debt dismissed while simultaneously trying to improperly claim funds from the state's Landlord Mitigation Program and refusing to send me a formal redaction letter. They will violate your tenant rights, ignore the law, ruin your credit, and block you from finding safe housing without a second thought. Renters beware: document everything and be prepared to fight their illegal practices.
