Wow! I am floored with this place! The entrance to the lobby is so welcoming and massive! I thought…read moreit would be a sterile, white, and a cold, dreary place but when I entered... WOW! When you step in, you immediately feel "homey." It's warm and inviting (because it's a cold 37 degrees outside!), and the ambiance is extremely calming. If I was a kid, I would feel relaxed And as an adult, I would have a sense of ‍ ‍ where I can just chill and feel at ease. There is a large and beautiful aquarium that is about 5'x8'x3'. Amazing !!! Ms Rebecca was currently handing a few calls but I noticed a kiosk terminal that said to sign in. Well, I typed my name and I was automatically logged in! And since I did my paperwork electronically before my first visit... all I needed to sign was a permission to treat. ONE piece of paper! THAT efficiency is a huuuuuge plus and saves so much time! And bam! It was smooth sailing from there! I was promptly greeted by Ms. Amber: exquisite personality and very inviting. Since it's very early in the morning for me, I couldn't really process it fast enough. I kind of stumbled over my words.. and said, "Uh.. oh hello! Um.. it's nice to meet you!" She helped with my scans -- I don't know how to describe it but they were extremely futuristic since it rotated around your head and made the same sound effects like R2D2. I was like... this is epic! She took some profile pics ‍ to add to my user profile. Btw, as a tip: make sure you do your hair and brush your teeth lol!! Tha pic will be your image haha! Then after it was done, I turned around and I was met up immediately with Ms. Eva who took my intake and my expectations. I was surprised at first because I'm not used to having others cater to me, but her personality was so inviting and warm! She asked me what I did and what I liked to do, and she asked about sports and activities that I liked. She then had Dr. Harigan meet with me and talk with me. He assessed my teeth and dictated his findings to Ms. Eva. He said I was a perfect candidate for Invisaligns rather than braces which was awesome. He was so friendly and calming and informative! I rarely have conversations with a doctor ‍ who genuinely has an interest in my sports, school, and hobbies. We talked about Unix, Swift, and other coding languages. We also talked about snowboarding and snow. He then asked me what else I was unhappy about, and I told him I had trouble whitening my teeth with the gentle whiteners as they only seem to work on the front teeth rather than the back. And would you know if, he threw them in my treatment plan! He said that i can do the whitening whilst I wait for the aligners to come in (it take about 4 weeks for the Invisaligns to come in.) Next, Ms. Eva did the financial breakdown and that was the best. So efficient and I can do AutoPay and use my flex card! You can get a bonus discount of -$300 if you pay in full that day, but I didn't know how much the treatment would cost so I didn't plan for it. (Memo to self: plan ahead!) So I figured I'll get some flying miles and do a down payment and do the 16month plan. No biggie, the first payment isn't until 2 months. When I was considering the payment, I asked Ms. Eva about the price for whiteners, and she said, "Oh no, Dr. Hanigan added that and the [anchors?] for free, you're just paying for the entire treatment and costs so there aren't any surprises during your 18-20mo course!" I was like... "Wh.. what? Free?" "Yeah. He wanted to do that for you since he was so impressed by you." I'm thinking... ... who am I to deserve such kindness? All of you barely know me but yet you lavish me with such gifts? So I signed the contract and got started with impressions and a sweet digital 3D ultrasound of my teeth (digital mould). Ms Marlin helped and she was awesome at it! Fantastic personality and very welcoming! I then brushed my teeth to take the specs of mould off and spoke lastly with Ms. Eva who packed all of my papers in the most coolest envelope/card with a sticker! That has to be the most unique thing I've ever seen! I then was walked by Ms. Eva to Ms. Rebecca at the kiosk where I said my goodbyes and a reminder that I'll be called this afternoon to pickup the whitening trays and for instructions! And bam! That was my morning! Man, they are one amazing team! So unique and so caring! Totally different from my past experiences with my braces when I was a teenager!!

There were two instances with a short flash of sensitivity. I noted it and she immediately applied something that instantly calmed the sensitivity. On my way to the appointment there was a car accident that blocked my path. I called them to let them know I could be a little late. They were very understanding. I am a "Better Living Through Chemistry Kind of Guy." I would rather have the pain controlled rather than the Grin and Bear it type. Dr Mai was great. The staff is amazing from the desk staff to the hygienist and her root canal assistant. If you need a new dentist, look no farther. I have had sleep apnea for many years. I am looking forward to seeing what she recommends. I will enter another review after that process.

I was brought here as a kid, and my experience initially seemed positive. Unfortunately, two very…read moreserious things happened during my treatment that still greatly upset me. First: I have what's sometimes called a "gummy smile." The orthodontist strongly pushed a cosmetic laser procedure to remove gum tissue. I initially considered it, but after discussing it with my dad, I realized I didn't want a cosmetic procedure, especially for something that wasn't medically necessary and wasn't something that aesthetically bothered me. When I told the orthodontist that I didn't want the surgery, I was told, *"It's not up to you,"* along with a glare. Being told as a child that I had no say in whether a cosmetic medical procedure would be done to my body was extremely distressing and it's a vivid memory to this day. Now that I'm an adult, I've never had a single medical issue related to my gums, which reinforces that it truly wasn't necessary. Second, and the issue that still bothers me the most: My canines were shaved down without my knowledge or consent. At the time, the orthodontist told me he was simply removing extra glue. Later I realized he had actually reshaped my canines, removing a distinctive feature of my smile that I really loved. I was never asked about this beforehand, and it was only apparent after the procedure had already been done. As an adult, those teeth are also more sensitive than they used to be. Parents, if you bring your kids here, please pay very close attention to what procedures are being done and make sure everything is clearly explained beforehand. Patients, especially younger ones, deserve to be informed and have their concerns respected! If shaving down my teeth to change their look was necessary for my bite, that should have been something discussed with me instead of a mumbled "just tidying things up" while the drill is going. The only real way to fix what happened would be cosmetic reconstruction of the teeth, which would cost hundreds of dollars. Unfortunately, that's not something I expect this office will take responsibility for.
