Within a couple of days of our service request we had an in person consultation and the following morning the construction workers were at our house and ready to work. Stan, Eric, and the rest of the team was thorough, professional, and really took the time out to go over the precise design and materials with my Fiancè and I to accomplish our desires. The quality and value of work that Stan and his team put into our house is truly top tier. The money we've invested is truly money well spent for their beautiful work and effort. The project took approximately three months to complete. In the course of our three month renovation Stan came out to our residence to personally inspect each detail to make sure it was done to perfection. At other times Eric who is one of the inspectors came out to do so which contest to their unmatchable customer service that I'm so thankful for. They remodeled our kitchen, guest and master bathrooms, living room, bedroom, and converted our back sunroom into a man-cave for my Fiancè that he's In love with. It's now a room that our friends and family love to watch football in. We plan on buying more property, and of course will hire Red Star Construction to remodel that house as well. We've also sent a couple of our close friends their way too. I'm so in love with my home .

I don't enjoy…read moredragging somebody's business, but I also don't enjoy spending a large chunk of our hard saved money on garbage work and hopefully I can save somebody else from making the same mistake. I guess I will start by being open and up front and saying I put off doing this negative review for two years... we had such a terrible experience during installation of our LVP floors and the workmanship proved to not be great in the following year or two but my final straw that made me decide to finally write this review comes from being recently enlightened to yet ANOTHER issue with the quality of work. A couple of months ago we suffered severe water damage in our home and as a result, all of the LVP that Redstar installed in 2023 had to be ripped up and we found out they never even put a barrier under our flooring between it and the concrete. These guys cut SO many corners the entire job and this just has me livid again. SOME of the issues we had with Redstar- - What was supposed to be a 2wk job turned into 4wks - One of his workers stole a bottle of whiskey out of our cabinet. Had we noticed while the job was going on, we would have absolutely brought it up to Stan, however, we didn't notice it until we were moving furniture back into our house and at that point we were so sick of dealing with Redstar that we chose to let it go instead, however, there was absolutely nobody else in our house during this time (the house wasn't in living condition, so how could there have been?) so there's no way it was anybody else that took it. - Without our consent they modified our entry way steps almost permanently but we caught them. It was a rounded step down from the entry to our living room, Stan told us they could make the rounded edge work even with the LVP. We double checked with him because previous contractors told us no because it was round and the LVP is obviously not pliable but Stan said it was doable so we tr... well apparently his solution was to take the rounded edge and just make it a giant square! Which cut into our already small living room and looked horrendous! Thank God my husband works from home and came out of his office when he did, imagine his surprise that not only had they already framed the square out, but they were filling it with concrete without anybody even asking us if that was OK! It wasn't, they had to find another solution. - The house,was left FILTHY every day. Our kitchen was basically unusable the entire time. They made ZERO attempt to clean at all and make our home even remotely comfortable for us. I had to clean the kitchen daily to even be able to use a single countertop to make food. - Stan and his crew were supposed to level out some of the uneven flooring before installing the LVP and still, after already being installed, they had to rip up the floors, several places and level our area. They should have already done, but didn't because the floor would sink down or bend when you stepped on it. - Stan the owner was never on site unless we had an issue he had to come deal with. Idk where he got his workers but they were subpar, did subpar work. The only decent one who seemed to care at all was his supervisor Eric, who unfortunately also was rarely there until we were so fed up we demanded someone else finish the work. Very shortly after the work has been done , of talking within six months to a year max, there were already multiple planks that had cracked and we started noticing that the putty or whatever it is, they use in the joint of the flooring, was starting to fall out in multiple places. The only thing we clean our floors with warm water and vinegar so it's not like we were using harsh chemicals. I utilize Yelp a LOT for trusted recommendations on everything from food to construction services and everything in between and I felt guilty about not writing a negative review immediately after our experience with Stan and Redstar but to be completely honest, it was such a stressful experience (every day was something new, I dr dreaded coming home from work) on top of the fact that I was just done dealing with them on top of the fact that I didn't want to say anything negative that could possibly get in the way of our "1yr warranted on the work" if we need them to come back for anything so I just kept my mouth shut but honestly, I feel like this review needs to be put out there if it can save anyone from a fraction of the annoyance and headache we experienced with them! Finding out that the LVP was installed with zero barrier was my final straw. We paid over $13k for a shit job. I'll end it with this , our experience was so bad that we paid over $13,000 for the flooring, and when issues started to arise within the first year, we STILL didn't even want to bother contacting them to come fix the problems because we had SUCH a bad experience. We would rather eat it and deal with it than call them again.

So much damage was caused due to a water line break, but with the help of HHS I was able to get my home repaired and a reasonable price. Jason and his crew were competent and all residential construction entities, including but not limited to demolition, removal of jimmo material framing, removal of copper plumbing and replacing with pecks, electrical work, drywall taping and muddying, tile work, cabinet install, paint as well as finish work. Although it was a long process I am so satisfied due to the perfectionism as well as keen eye for detail that the owner Jason possesses. I appreciate the time that Jason went above and beyond to inspect all of his crew members work as well as take the time to clean up the mess left behind yeah by other crews working on other projects of the house, and opening my eyes as a homeowner of how many companies now are just out for the money in your pocket well delivering unprofessional and unethical work. From start to finish I had no issues and we'll definitely be hiring handy Fram handyman services in the future for any home projects I may have big or small. I 100% recommend Jason and his team, not to mention his wife who works alongside him who will blow you away with the knowledge that she has under her belt and prides herself in working harder than the guys!

Jon Keller Roof Company CA State License # 741945…read more909-980-8075 I'm kind of cheating in writing this review, because I've had the advantage of a few satisfied neighbors who have used Jon Keller to remove all their concrete tile and re-paper their roofs. I want to start by saying I have learned the hard way to do my research before laying out hundreds--or thousands of Dollars. Jon Keller is the best there is--Bar None... We own a two-story home with a very steeply pitched roof. The last winds threw a broken tile off the roof. I decided to assess for additional damage and found a couple more broken tiles, some that slipped, and dry rot in an outer corner. It had been repaired by a handyman a few years ago. The handyman I had hired only replaced a couple feet of facia in each direction which meant that the spliced boards now gave little support for the weight of the concrete tiles--resulting in a bad droop and the return of dry rot. This time, I was determined to hire a proper roofer to do my repairs, so I called Jon Keller. Attention to details: Jon used some of the best quality lumber I have seen in a very long time. I pre-painted the wood before having him install it--much easier than painting overhead after install, and it wraps all end-grain. As it turned out, I had 13 broken tiles and a couple of rake-tiles missing. Every time I've talked to a roofer about replacing tile on my 32 year old house, they warned me that they could not get the same tile--not made anymore. Jon has hundreds of my exact tiles (Gray Super-shake) in stock--he has them in brown as well. I watched as Jon carefully removed quite a bit of tile, the old spliced facia boards and shiplap underlayment boards. He thoroughly cleaned the areas to be repaired by blowing off all the dirt and debris buildup before beginning to re-install the facia and tiles. Jon replaced 20 feet of facia with 1"by 3" cleat to repair my drooping corner and several shiplap pieces. He carefully removed the old boards at previously spliced areas without damaging the wood that had to remain in place. He replaced all the wood, slid new paper under the old, sealed where necessary and was very meticulous in making sure the roofline and corner were perfectly straight. Jon and his roofing partner walked my entire roof, replacing broken tiles and blowing all the pine needles and debris off the roof that had built up over a few years. They sealed and painted all the pipes, corrected the runoff of a poorly placed rain gutter, and to my amazement, Jon checked every single one of my rake tiles--hammering in nails that had worked loose. I felt he had done quite a lot of work for the $900.00 I spent tuning up my roof. Jon Keller is a licensed professional with decades of experience. He started exactly when he said, worked hard and finished the same day. I will call him for all my roofing needs from now on. Jon does All Types of roofing--by the way...
