The job took 4-days, really 3.5-days with the first 0.5 being a crew who peeled off the old shakes the first day and some supply delivery. 2nd was delivering more supplies, checking for dry rot, replacing as needed, and starting the plywood, and waterproofing. 3rd was shingling and gutters (separate crews), 4th finishing everything up including painting the vents to match with the new roof. The communication was great and the appointment was set. The morning of the estimate Romer's roofing called me and gave me a 30 minute heads up and showed up on time. The roofer listened to my concerns and went up to my roof. After he was done he showed me several pictures of the damage and of some other items he mentioned were worth fixing. He was never pushy and never tried to sell me a new roof. He stated the repairs were simple and would buy me many more years on my roof. A young man came out with a drone and flew it over my house. I was initially impressed at the process, and the identified issues with my roof. I thought he'd climb up there to check it out, but he seemed to have it all worked out. He said I'd get a quote emailed to me, but after waiting a couple weeks, it never came. This brought me to Alpha Roofing. I scheduled an estimate, where I met Mario. The disrespect I felt with him flaunting his dodger hat to a deeply rooted Yankee home!!! yes, I proudly wore my Yankee hat as he and I bantered back-and-forth. We instantly hit it off. Mario is a personable and friendly guy, I felt comfortable with him. He came into my home to see the source of the leak and asked for access to my attic. He grabbed a ladder and climbed onto my roof first. I questioned him not having a drone and he told me he did, but for initial estimates, he needed to walk my roof to see what was going on. Once on my roof, he quickly identified everything the other roofing company mentioned and so much more. He found the source of my leak. The drone was great, but would never have caught the tiny holes left in my roof from removing solar pool panels. That gave me an Oh *hit moment!
