The New Testament was an inexpensive one with cardboard covers. My mother had written notes in it though, so it felt very special. I arranged with David Weinstein to replace the cover with a synthetic material but he found a small piece of beautiful leather and used that at no extra charge. The Missal was re-covered with goat skin. Both volumes were embossed in gold script on the covers. They look and feel amazing - like new books with a whole new life. It was so nice to hang out for a bit with David in his peaceful shop. I would definitely come back to see him for any other book binding needs. He's a real artist.
