First off, the mission of this place is incredible. Helping others not go hungry!!! Workers are super friendly and welcoming (also volunteers I think?) and super super yummy coffee!! Decor is cozy too. Will continue to support & you should too!

Latte, drip coffee and salted chocolate cookie

Lovely! Cute, clean and welcoming. Pleasant and helpful staff. Delightful baked goods, both sweet and savory offerings. Drip coffee is smooth and delicious. Latte was "great" as reviewed by my coffee companion. We shared the salty chocolate cookie and both adored it.

I finally got a chance to visit Heretic for real after following them on socials for quite awhile. I was impressed by their community involvement, especially their mission to feed people after the SNAP benefits were cut last year. That said, the place itself was very charming - lots of off-street parking, large outdoor seating area as well as inside seating, clean restroom, cheery and friendly staff, a barista that knew how to make a real cortado in a non-paper cup, and tasty and fresh pastries. The carmelized-onion Asiago cheese danish I ordered took a bit to make it to the table due to all the people that were there on a Saturday morning but it was definitely worth waiting for! Looking forward to the next time I'm in Portland and can go get one of those cortados and something yummy to eat with it.

I went because of who they are as a establishment. Stepping up to care for those in need. Hands down 100% recommend.

    8oz cappuccino
    Masanori D.

After reading numerous rave reviews on Google, I stopped in to give them a try. I ordered an 8oz cappuccino ($6). First and foremost, the quality is solid. Staff are friendly, and this place has a great vibe. I'm sure I'll come back. Bonus tip: they offer 'miso caramel' as a syrup option. It's essentially salted caramel, but miso is used in place of salt.

It's a cute shop that leans into the "heretic" aesthetic with ample seating indoors as well as outdoors. There's a nice garden and a spacious parking lot for Heretic Coffee. I got the miso caramel latte, decent but nothing to write home about.

I feel like they had everything that I've seen on GenZ TikTok gift recommendation lists - from scrunchies, to clothes, candles, that one olive oil, those colorful cutting boards, throw blankets, etc, etc, etc. There's some smaller trinkets for cheap but much of it had the higher price tag to go along with the trendiness. Looking them up now, they also have an online store so you can browse before you shop! Or get things delivered right to you.

Today they had retro black crochet 2 piece bathing suits that would be flattering on many. An assortment of tanks, tees and tops; wide leg pants, shorts, jeans; jackets; hair accessories like scrunchies, headbands and clips. Jewelry of their own design and others is also available. Dangly beaded earrings, chain bracelets, dainty necklaces and a variety of rings. One of the tables has scented candles and lotions. Oh, an an assortment of - wait, you guessed it - cactus on another! Don't forget to check out the small sale rack against the back wall near the two dressing rooms. You never know what you may find! They also sell accessories like affordable jewelry from local artisans, unique scarves, shoes/boots/sandals and even an assortment of wonderful hand creams and candles that smell so good! I had to buy a pitchuli scented candle because it reminded me of my youth and I used up the one I bought two years ago. Like any store, some of the clothing works for me and some doesn't. We all have to know our own bodies and what fits best. What I really like about Adorn is that they have a variety of styles - they know women's bodies come in a variety of shapes and we can't all wear the same styles! In addition to cloths, they have shoes, sandals, hats, jewelry, candles, soaps & lotions and even a few handbags. Inventory is always changing and at the end of every season, they have fantastic sales, like 50% off. Because I've had good experiences, when I see an Adorn boutique in any of the Portland neighborhoods, I stop in.

I was not able to view the size or price tags without having to fish for them and pull it out so I could see. I found it annoying when shopping since buying clothes is the main goal. Maybe there's a person in your life who might enjoy the items for sale inside Rebelles. I walked here from a nearby location with Schmoopie. He's been back to this neighborhood a few times with other relatives of his... but, he didn't buy me anything. I was asked if I knew about the return policy for items. I replied if it's like the return policy at any of the women's boutiques in downtown then yes... I do know about it. There as a person who walked into this location when I walked out... but I didn't know about the theft in this neighborhood before. I have been walking in this neighborhood between about 2010 and 2014. So I probably stopped in between those years. Schmoopie said he likes that location. I did ask if there was another location further out in SE Portland, Oregon. I didn't know that there wasn't enough staff to keep the store open later in the evenings some afternoons. For the price point(s) everything inside seemed on par with the women's boutiques in the downtown core. I recommend you bring your friend who liked rings, or bohemian clothes.
