We loved the aesthetics and the vibes. Our waitress was amazing and super helpful. We did call the night before to reserve a spot and that went very smoothly. My husband got steak and eggs with some cornbread and he LOVED it. I got the eggs Benny and that was super good as well. My only critique would be that to my preference I think the potatoes were a bit under cooked. I had a few that were that "crunchy" raw. I always prefer crunchy breakfast potatoes but again, my preference. I will say, the potatoes tasted great though! We got the breakfast punch to share at the table and that was delicious. Then we each tried another drink of our own. He got an apple bottom something... which he loved! I'm a child at heart so I got the blended bourbon cider soooo and alcoholic slushy - I would get it every time. So good. We loved this place & we will be back! read more

I went on a Saturday for solo brunch. I ate at the bar, but the tables and booths looked comfy. I had the Cornbread & Gravy and the Red Beans and Rice with dirty rice. Both were outstanding, but the Cornbread and Gravy was amazing. Eggs were perfectly poached and the boudin was very flavorful. Good boudin is hard to find in the midwest, but there's is as good as I've had here. The bartender was attentive and brought all three of their house-made hot sauces and they were interesting in a good way. It was overall a great experience, I'm definitely gonna make time to come back for the dinner menu. read more

The waitress pointed out the best salad!! Most of the food looked high in salt. The place is attractive, more for the alcohol driving crowd at night. I came in for a salad on a very cold day. It was very pleasant. read more

We visited Herbe Sainte during Omaha restaurant week and it continues to be as delicious as ever! I would describe our meal as elevated comfort food. Each dish has layers of flavor! My favorite was the braised short rib which featured cheesy grits and brussel sprouts. I'm already planning my next visit in my head! read more

Every time i go here while traveling for business I wish I had one by where I live in TX. Had the crab dip and étouffée. Sat at the bar and had nice and friendly service. Love the intricate decor and feels warm and cozy when cold outside. read more

This classy breakfast / brunch spot offers delicious menu choices. Their Belgian waffles are to die for. Such a relaxing atmosphere whether inside at a pubstyle table or classic outdoor patio seating. A great start or ending during farmers' market season. Endless mimosas await! Watching the bartenders create their work of art Bloody Mary's is a treat. Their glass/bottle washer is an eclectic sight to see. Like a car wash on the counter LOL. Even when it's busy, you can still enjoy an intimate conversation with friends. Parking can be a bit sparce at regular brunch times, but it's worth the search. Classy spot in Aksarben!! read more

We walked in without reservations and there was a party going on, but they took care of us and seated us by the bar, which was perfect for us. I've never visited New Orleans, but from what I've heard this place is very close to the real deal. Be prepared to walk a bit from your car as parking has been terrible the times we've gone. read more

I have always loved coming to Herbe Sainte because it's one of the few restaurants in Omaha with a wide variety of authentic Louisiana and gulf dishes, with an incredibly extensive bar and wine list to support it. I haven't tried everything on the menu, although I'm working through it, but for the starters the gumbo, chowder, crab cakes, and clam dip are portioned just right for 1-2 people to whet their appetite - and delicious. I added a small baguette this time to get all the gumbo soup (I was also sitting at the bar, which explains the other things in the pictures). Pair that with one of their house cocktails - or do what I like and get a cocktail from their aged barrel. They usually have two they have premixed, and they are very unique and tasty. For entrees you can't beat the étouffée, any of the jambalaya (I like crawfish with shrimp), or the linguini. I haven't been able to try the desserts, but they look amazing. The food arrives at a relaxed but not slow pace, which gives you time to talk and enjoy your drinks before savoring the dishes. I'll be back soon. read more

This is one of my favorite spots to eat at here in Omaha. My husband and I love going here for their Happy Hour deals. The crab dip is a must. I've personally had three of their entrees and was pleased with every single one of them. They're all well crafted and full of flavor. We normally sit at the bar, the cocktails are also amazing, for quicker seating and service. Also, the interior and the bar are my ideal ambiance setting. This place is personally my favorite, but I just love the vibe and full flavor of the food. So yes, I do recommend it. read more

The food was incredible, the crab and artichoke dip was amazing. As well as all four of our meals were very very good. The service was spectacular and they were there to re fill our drinks very fast. As well as the vibe was great in the restaurant. I 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes food with a little spice. read more

Balancing an urban yet hip feel, we arrived Friday afternoon. This place is popular, so we were fortunate to have arrived early enough to be offered indoor high top and outdoor patio seating. Hearing the happy hour specials, we ordered quickly and were rewarded with a collection of amazing cocktails. Upon leaving only 90 minutes later, folks were waiting and every table was full. Great venue and fun! read more

We were passing thru Omaha and ordered carry out. The host that answered my questions was very kind and helpful. We ordered the surf and turf and the green bean quinoa salad with blackened chicken. The food was fantastic. The sauce on the surf and turf had a tiny bit of a kick but just the right amount that my toddler still could enjoy it too. The restaurant vibes were super cute; wish we had time to sit down and eat. Thanks for the meal! read more

Wow! Great brunch spot but go early so you can order the bottomless mimosas. You also need to go early when they open so you can get a seat; they fill up fast. I eat there all the time and everyone off the menu is fabulous as is the staff. Great place to enjoy before the farms market. Enjoy! read more

Herbe Sainte was one of the first restaurants I tried when I moved to Omaha, and I ended up returning about a month later. I got the cajun mac and cheese both times because it was just that good! Good amount of heat for me, mostly coming from the meat. The other people at dinner also really enjoyed their dishes. There is an eclectic cocktail menu as well, but I have yet to try any of them. The first time I went, there was a bit of a wait, but we were actually seated way faster than they estimated. It is a smaller place, so I'm sure they fill up quick. It's great that they take reservations. I enjoyed the atmosphere; it is upscale, cozy, and unique, but not too high-end and stuffy. read more

Excellent Cajun food! The shrimp and grits were perfection. My boyfriend is not a very adventurous eater tried the crawfish jambalaya and loved it too. Doesn't hurt that he asked me to marry him after this meal either so... 5 stars! read more

I had been hearing about how good this place was for months and I finally made it in! Their menu is straight out of New Orleans with dishes like clam chowder, Jambalaya, Shrimp & Grits, Gator Tail, cornbread, and lots of cajun seasonings (pictured is the Crawfish Jambalaya and Crawfish Étouffée). They also have a fairly large drink menu full of speciality cocktails, wine and beer. I've tried their brunch menu too and that blew me away even more. Get the eggs Benedict!! read more

Decided to give this place a try during Omaha Restaurant Week, $30 for a 3 course meal, and I felt like it would be a great way to try a few new places and really get the full experience of their menu. A few of us in our party ordered of the regular menu as well. Really love the atmosphere, it's decorated with home decor (rugs, lamps, couches), as well as a bit of an industrial feel (exposed pipes, copper backsplash, etc). It feels very open and airy with the ceiling to floor windows. Truly a great place for an after-work drink and appetizer. Herbe Sainte ultimately misses the mark on their main menu. While we all enjoyed the drinks and the flavors weren't bad, no one in out party was overwhelmed by our dishes (and the portions were on the smaller side). We all expected to love this place based on the atmosphere and great service, but we all left just a little disappointed. Recommend this place for drinks and charcuterie board, but not much more unfortunately. read more

Everything was great except the actual food. Only reason why i am giving 5 stars is because of the waitress. Food was Very disappointing, had a Cajun Egg Benny and it had bacon on it that was barely cooked, the portion size was kids size, and the food itself did not look appealing. I could go to early bird and get regular portions with extremely tasty food. The food was barely mediocre at best, but the waitress/ customer service was very great. I wish I could say I am coming back but I really don't think I will. read more

Interesting little venue. Great bar service. Was in town for a business trip and tried this quaint little restaurant. It's a little more modern than your traditional Cajun cuisine. Started off with a cup of the gumbo soup which was delicious and spot on. I then ordered the étouffée and sadly was a bit disappointed. Although good tasting, it was not your mamas étouffée. The "sauce" was so thick it mixed with the rice and was more like a casserole than traditional étouffée. Despite it being different and non traditional, the spice, blackened shrimp and crawfish were pretty good as far as the flavor, but texturally it was not étouffée. As stated before the bartender, did not catch her name, was really good! Great variety of whiskeys and she really knew what she was doing. read more

Stopped in for an after dinner drink and dessert. Bartender made hubby an aviation--something that isn't normally on their menu. We both had a dessert and shared--bread pudding and chocolate cake. They were amazing. That chocolate cake was one of the best I've ever had. The bread pudding was delicious--lovely caramel and savory nuttiness. Not too soft, not too dense. The drinks were tasty and you could tell the bartender knew what they were doing. We will go back for dinner, but if you just have time to sit and have a drink and dessert--I highly suggest Here Sainte. Bathroom was clean and well appointed. read more

This was a good place for a Saturday morning brunch, the server was nice and the mimosas were good. They have this "promotion" that it's you pay for the first two mimosas and after that, mimosas are a penny (so it's basically a different "unlimited", which I like better because You do not need to commit to the unlimited from the beginning). Foot wise I got the PO Boy, it was really good I'd definitely recommend it. read more

My wife and I have been here twice, both for drinks. On our last visit, we also got some food. The bartenders are always fantastic and interesting to talk to. They have a lot of knowledge in their craft and are willing to explain the drinks to you. If you have a question about swapping a spirit, they are great in explaining how that would change your drink. If you came only for the drinks, you would have a great time, learn something, and enjoy a fantastic drink. My wife and I shared the muffaletta on our last visit. It came served with a side of fresh chips. The portion was very reasonable for the price. I highly recommend this place for late night eats! read more

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night in November during the midst of covid. We were socially distanced, and we were seated immediately. This is my favorite spot in Omaha! This is the first time I came in with a date and we decided to treat ourselves and it was, delicious and romantic. We ordered a pound of their P&E Shrimp which was delicious, but I definitely don't enjoy working for my food, aha! I absolutely loved the Muffuletta and it was delicious. It was such a simple sandwich but the combination of ingredients was mouthwatering and I will for sure get it again the next time we come back. Perhaps we'll try something else besides the shrimp next time around :) Our server was quick, and our drinks were always full. I love the aesthetics of this place and had no idea before I came here the first time that I enjoyed all this New Orleans fare! I've got my eyes on trying a dessert out the next time we get to come in! Come here during their happy hour for great drinks and delicious appetizers. read more

It was perfect weather for sitting outside with an aperol. The baguette and whipped butter managed to be a star which is amazing because that red beans and dirty rice with Cajun shrimp was amazing. Plus our server brought us out two different hot sauces which was great on the potatoes and baguette also. I preferred the spicier cream, lime hot sauce. My husband enjoyed his eggs Bennie and would order again ! Can't wait to return! read more

So, for Omaha standards, they're a 4. By southern standards, a 2. So I averaged. They don't know what a roux is. Their dirty rice was okay. If you're looking for southern or Cajun ish food in Omaha, this is the best we have found so far. Sincerely, a stranded southerner read more

Great place in a cool neighborhood. The service was friendly and quick. And the food was excellent.

Great atmosphere. We were seated fairly quick. The place was pretty busy. Drinks aren't so great but maybe I ordered the wrong thing?! We started with an appetizer, the white cheddar clam dip It was delicious!!! I'd definitely be back for that it was so good and full of flavor. Sadly it was the only thing that sensed to have flavor. I ordered the surf and turf linguine the steak had no seasoning at all not even salt! The shrimp lacked flavor as well. Most of the flavor was in the Cajun cream sauce and unfortunately for me it lacked flavor as well. My bf ordered the Cajun Mac n cheese and added blackened shrimp and a cup of gumbo. The Mac and cheese wasn't very cheesy but did have a cheese sauce on it; it lacked flavor as well but had more flavor then the surf and turf linguine. I felt the same was about the gumbo it just lacked that Cajun flavor I was really looking for. However the blackened shrimp on the Mac was DELICIOUS all by itself. I gave it three stars because the atmosphere was great. I'd give this place a second try but no time soon. 5/10 recommend. read more

I love this restaurant! The decor is so calm, chill. I love that it's not so matchy matchy. The bar is amazing and not just the selection but the actual look of the bar. So here you just walk in and pick a spot that you would like to sit and wait on your waiter or waitress. I can't wait till the whether warms up so I can sit on the outside patio. Each time I've been it's been freezing unfortunately. Now the food. Amazing. I'm a creature of habit next time I'll try something different ( probably not). I've had the crawfish etouffee. which I've never had untill coming to Herb Sainte but I'm hooked. Also had the shrimp po boy, cajun rice all delicious. Tried a hurricane which was strong and I'm fan of strong alcoholic drinks at restaurants:). Service is friendly nothing over the top. A definite return. read more

I went to Herbe Sainte last night for dinner during happy hour. The happy hour specials are great and the cocktails are delicious.
