It has a really cool, grungy-chic sort of vibe that makes it a unique place to visit at least once. The Drinks: They have great cocktails overall, but I highly recommend the lychee martini--it was delicious and beautifully made. The Food: The menu rotates and changes, but everything we had was fantastic. The baked chicken was wonderful, and the red beans and rice were perfectly seasoned and packed with flavor. It doesn't matter what you order, it will be good. I had a long day and needed a good meal & drink. I had been telling everyone about Her Majesty, but hadn't been to the new location myself so I stopped by after work. I went in and was immediately greeted by the host. She was super friendly and had the best customer service I ordered togo, but decided to sit at the bar while I wait. Surprisingly, it was busy for it to be a Tuesday, but it wasn't a bad wait. I enjoyed a top shelf margarita & it was perfect. Bar kinda small, but so cute. The entire restaurant is beautiful. Now to the food. The menu changes every month to go with the season/month. On August 11, 2026, It was a rainy Tuesday night, and I had just left the gym dressed in gym shorts, a baggy shirt, and tennis shoes. I was thirsty and starving for a good post-workout meal. I turned to Google to guide me on the local restaurants and landed on Her Majesty Kitchen. I checked the Google profile and observed that the reviews were pretty positive. I noted that the restaurant's theme was deeply embedded with Cajun roots combined with casual fine dining. So I punched the address into my GPS, and off I went. Upon my arrival, I entered the restaurant expecting to be turned away due to my gym attire, cause surely a restaurant this nice had a dress code. I was WRONG; I was immediately greeted by Alecia, who was very kind and welcoming. Alecia did not miss a beat and seated me immediately with a menu and dining utensils. Alecia then went and retrieved a complimentary water for me (thank God, I was parched). As I sat reviewing the menu, everything seemed carefully thought out and well explained on the menu. I inquired about the gumbo appetizer, as I am from Mississippi and have visited Louisiana a couple of times in my life; I take gumbo seriously. Alecia was very knowledgeable about the ingredients of the gumbo and quickly assured me I was making a good selection. The Gumbo arrived, and it was plated nicely. The gumbo had a great consistency in the roux and the perfect amount of rice and meat for an appetizer portion. The Gumbo was also seasoned very nicely, not spicy, and didn't taste like a burnt roux; it was a perfect brown roux in my opinion. The Gumbo quietly flooded my mind with childhood memories and made me feel at home. I then ordered the New York Strip with frites as an entree, cooked medium rare. The restaurant offered three options for the New York Strip with garlic herb butter, Bourbon Glaze, and Chimichurri. I opted for the Bourbon Glaze. The restaurant also offered options with the frites in plain fries, Cajun Style, or Truffle Fries; I opted for truffle fries. While waiting for my entree to arrive, I was able to take in some of the restaurant's vibe, music, and decor. The bar was nestled away in the corner of the restaurant, well placed and decorated nicely. I watched the other staff members interact with other patrons. I observed the servers personalize each patron's experience with conversation and politeness. I noted that while the servers were very engaging, they did not neglect the needs of the patrons either, providing swift and considerate service. My entree arrived after a brief wait. The plating was excellent; the steak was already sliced and covered in the bourbon glaze. The truffle fries were garnished perfectly and not sloppily placed on the plate; it was evident the kitchen staff took ample consideration to keep the fries away from the bourbon glaze so as not to mix the flavors. My steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and very tender and easy to cut into smaller pieces. As the first bite hit my mouth, I was immediately greeted with the flavor of the bourbon glaze; it had nice notes of sweet bourbon taste but was not overbearing. The flavor of the steak itself and the bourbon glaze was a great combination that was very well thought out and pleasing. My truffle fries were cooked perfectly, not limp and not fried hard. The truffle fries were seasoned so well I did not need any condiments to accompany them. While I was eating, I asked Alecia if I could speak to the bartender. Alecia notified the bartender, who came to the table and introduced herself as Ashley. I explained to Ashley that I wanted a drink that would pair nicely with the dessert I intended to order. After a brief discussion, Ashley assured me that she knew exactly what to make. Ashley whisked away to the bar and began preparing the cocktail. Ashley brought out a very pleasing and unique version of an espresso martini that had hints of caramel and vanilla in it. The Expresso martini was not bitter like most places usually serve it, but rather very light and sweet. The liquor-to-flavor ratio was perfect; the drink was not obscenely strong but just enough to combine to a perfectly tasting cocktail. Ashley is well-versed in her craft and made an outstanding choice! Shortly after I finished my entree, my praline beignets arrived at the table. The praline Beignets arrived in an order of three, decently sized for a dessert portion. Fried to a nice golden brown color, coated on all sides with powdered sugar, not just sprinkled on the top. They were drizzled with the praline drizzle and garnished with chopped pieces of praline. The praline drizzle had a nice sweet caramel-like taste, accompanied by the savory flavor of the beignet pastry. Ashley's cocktail indeed did pair extremely well with the praline dessert, just as she knew it would. I will say Chef Chelsia and her staff have knocked it completely out of the park. Had to pay $10 for parking because it seems like the actual restraint parking is very limited (the free spots at least) waiter was good didn't catch her name but she was 21 refilled our drinks frequently and was nice. One of the managers introduced herself to us and other parties and was nice. Nothing special about inside but nothing wrong with it either. Parking lot was packed but we were sat down immediately without a reservation didn't take long for food. Wonderful experience. Visited on Thursday and had reservations for 5:00. Restaurant has great appetizers specials until 6:00. All of the food was delicious. Restaurant decor was fitting for theme , clean and inviting. Gumbo was very flavorful and one of the best appetizers items. The restaurant interior is well designed and comfortable & the menu has some unique options. This visit I had the catfish poboy. It tasted good but there was only one skinny 'tender' of catfish and lots of bread. Also I didn't want fries but was told they don't do substitutions -- not a big fan of that as surely a side salad or other cooked veggies can't be that challenging, can it? Lastly, if you're looking for a vegan option, this isn't the place for you. Many people think "vegan = salad", which doesn't really meet the need as we do need protein like everyone else. We had reservations but were a little late which we notified them of. They were still able to accommodate. When we got there they had to clean the table and set it. Even though the table was ready we still were not seated for a good 15-20 minutes looking at the empty table. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable and made the experience pleasant. The food was ok. There could have been a little more seasoning in the alfredo and the chicken was dry. The shrimp in the po boy and fries were delicious and well seasoned. I could have done without the cover band/music. It was a bit loud for how big the restaurant was. It wasn't what I was expecting from a black owned establishment but to each their own. read more

I'm not sure how I hadn't heard about Her Majesty's Kitchen for so long but I'm glad we stopped there today! We were warmly greeted at the door and our server was spectacular! The atmosphere is very warm and classy. My Wife ordered the Citrus Grilled Salmon severed with grits. Which she loved! My daughter ordered the Chicken Alfredo Fettuccine and cornbread. Which she loved! And I ordered the Blackened Shrimp Alfredo Fettuccine! Everything was well presented and flavorful! Chef Chelsia came to our table and had a wonderful conversation with us. DISAPPOINTING- I had been excitedly looking forward to my first dining experience at Her Majesty Kitchen and booked a reservation to celebrate my birthday there on October 23. upon arrival, the restaurant was at less than 50% capacity. despite having a 6:15 reservation, it took more than 15 minutes for the server to take drink orders. we placed orders for appetizers and received in relative reasonable time frame and placed dinner order. At approximately 7:45 we inquired about status of entrees and was told it would be a while. the server brought out another order of spinach dip. 8:15, the server came to inform that the branzino that was ordered was unavailable. dinner was finally served at 8:35. the overall experience was lackluster and certainly didn't live up to my expectations based on prior reviews that I'd read. After a 40 minute drive to the restaurant and a 2 hour wait to be served - I won't be making a repeat visit. first and last trip. the food was good but not spectacular read more

We always stay in Forsyth on our trips north. First time visiting this restaurant. Everything was great. We were seated quickly. Our server came by in a very timely manner. We were not extremely hungry so I had a burger and my wife had a bowl of, I think, gumbo. She really enjoyed the spice and taste of her gumbo. My pimento cheese burger is in the team picture of the best that i have had. Our server was very good. We will be returning on a future trip. My wife and I went here a little after 8PM and had the most wonderful experience. Our service from Roslyn was attentive and friendly. She made us feel like we belonged there and kept up with our needs. We will definitely be going back there when any chance arrives. We had live music for the entirety of our meal which added to the ambiance of the dining area. Thanks again to the staff and cooks for such a wonderful meal. I'm only giving this review 4 stars because this is a fairly new restaurant and I understand they have to work out the kinks. The decor is charming. We wanted to try the food. We did not get a server and after sitting at our table for over 10 minutes without even a glass of water, we decided to walk out. There were empty tables and only 2 people at the bar. The bartender was just standing around. I would suggest more teamwork so the servers can concentrate on their tables. What a shame. We really wanted to try the food. Food was amazing! You can tell that the owners are very involved. The flavors were all dead on to what I had expected. I could taste every herb and seasoning in the BBQ Shrimp. I stopped in for lunch. I also got the Gumbo as I felt I HAD to in order to judge the authenticity. Beautifully executed. Rice was perfectly cooked which I feel is also a nice way to decide how well a kitchen can execute a dish. Staff were extremely attentive to my needs. I'll certainly be back. Maybe tonight. The Lamb Chop entree looks right down my alley. I didn't have room for dessert however, I met the Pastry Chef who seems to take pride in her work. Everything was looking. Beautiful coming out of the oven. I don't typically 'do' sweets often. However, I will probably come back to get some later to bring home from the retail counter. Please make the time to come in! We need variety here and this is the perfect addition to 'The Alley' as I call it thru Adams with Fox City, The Den, , Queen Bee Coffee, Jonah's The Art area behind it. The restaurant is a renovated warehouse and the industrial feel puts you in New Orleans. They also had a band (on Saturday not sure if they have one everyday). First I'll start with the good and the reason for my 4 stars. The food was really really good. I had some sort of spaghetti noodle shrimp and lobster dish, and even though the lobster was slightly over cooked the flavor of this dish was incredible! It was so good, I will be returning just for this dish. We also got the BBQ shrimp and again the flavor in that broth was the kind you just wanted to sop up with a biscuit, or drink by itself! Those two items alone really warranted 5 stars. I do think the restaurant is going through some growing pains and maybe needs a more professional wait staff.
