Such a cute place to stay. We had reservations ahead of time and we're very pleased when we arrived. The customer service was excellent. The only complaint I have is that the bathroom needed to have a little bit more cleaning. Other than that, no complaints. read more

Pleasantly Surprised. The hotel had all the amenities we needed for our two-night stay. Friendly staff and decent rooms. A big plus was the large TV in our room equipped with Roku and live channels. Streaming was a breeze, too. My only complaint is the breakfast was void of protein. While the automatic pancake machine was intriguing, I could have used a little bacon or sausage. I even would like some fruit (although I did see bananas out the second morning). The first morning I noticed other guests came in with a big bag of fruit they brought -- they must have been here before. :) read more

The only thing missing here for 5 stars would be better kitchen facilities. Yes, they've got free breakfast each morning, but given the location (equidistant - about 2 hours drive - into the center of Yellowstone one direction and into Grand Teton the other) they should have better kitchen facilities to allow people to cook. The room was very clean, no odors of any kind. Large rooms, recently remodeled. Complete with refrigerator, bathtub, air conditioner, and we had 2 queen beds along with a table and chairs.. There is a hot tub (if you don't mind public hot tubs) overlooking the river that is open 24/7. The town is small but has everything you need, and it's right off the highway. A short walk brings you to the local river (Henry's Fork). About an hour and 10 minutes from the W. Yellowstone entrance The woman at the reception was very friendly and helpful. Finally, they have a nice breakfast in the lobby, complete with waffles. We would definitely stay again. read more

This was our best hotel stay on a trip from the east coast to california. After a terrible night at a seedy place the night before, we were relieved as soon as we got to this place and saw it. The room was very clean, no odors of smoke or cleaning products or anything at all, just a nice room. There is a hot tub (if you don't mind public hot tubs) overlooking the river that is open 24/7. Do you wan't to spend $250 per night on your hotel stay for your Yellowstone vacation?? No I did't think so. This Best Western is located 72 miles from West Yellowstone and is the last chain hotel. In it's parking lot is the El Jalicienese restaurant which has very good food. There are very few restaurants in the area let alone good ones. The road north to Yellowstone is littered with closed restaurants. If you are looking for an economical place to use as a base for your Yellowstone vacation then this is it. We paid $79 a night.They have a hot tub and BBQ area in front for your use. I was disappointed that there was no room cleaning service on the weekend but hey I can live with that. Yikes; what a nightmare! I wouldn't be surprised if the carpets have literally NEVER been cleaned. We made the mistake of thinking we could walk around in our room barefoot only to find out that the carpets turned our feet black with dirt. However, the room didn't make us feel like as if were about to be murdered; so that deserves another star... right? I visit this area every year, and my family and I are never staying here again. We'd rather drive 10 minutes to Rexburg and stay at AmericInn. read more

The service wasn't bad, they were mildly friendly, the room included a decent breakfast but the room was dirty (just the beds sadly enough) the fitted sheets had crumbs and some small pieces of food on them, and the blanket had holes in it. The price wasn't great either about 110 a night for a double bed room and when I mentioned these issues to the staff they just said it shouldn't have been that way and didn't offer anything to make up for it read more

Stayed here after the eclipse, before heading up to Yellowstone. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and clean, bathroom was clean, everything was pretty clean. We also had a lazyboy in our room which was a nice touch. It does look like they remodeled recently which is great. The people who worked there were nice and friendly and breakfast was all right - choose between toast, cereal, or freshly made waffles. Not bad for the price. Nice and quaint. read more

Had a terrible experience with front desk. After being charged double what we were quoted, I asked if they were able to provide a crib and they said they didn't have them. I then told him that I was very displeased with their service and would not be staying there if I had any other option. He then got in my face like he was going to punch me and called me, among many other things, a dick and an asshole. Price gouging is one thing, but I have never been treated this terribly in any part of the world. It reflects very poorly upon the chain and I certainly will never be staying here again. read more

I wasn't expecting much but I was surprised to find it was actually a very comfortable place to stay and the people who worked there were really nice and helpful. We slept there on our way to Yellowstone. Cute little hotel. The room was clean, quite and seemed recently renovated. The staff was friendly and had a great suggestion to visit a nearby waterfall which turned out to be gorgeous, then cooked us breakfast in the morning. My boyfriend and I made a reservation four months ago for this Guesthouse Inn. Upon arrival the woman at the front desk told us our reservation did not exist. We showed her our confirmation number we were emailed from their hotel. We reserved with our credit card one non-smoking room for three nights. The women gave us a smoking one because there were no other rooms left and she did so with an extremely sour attitude. Mistakes happen, but the way she talked to and treated us is unacceptable, especially in the customer service industry. She refused to let us talk to anyone higher than herself. To make things worse the room was awful. There were spiders living in the corner by the front door, the bed was at a permanent tilt, so much so that a person could not lay on the left side, and the wifi didn't work well. Things were made right the next morning. We talked to the owner and explained what happened. He gave us a night free and a discount. We were also moved to a non smoking room. He, and the rest of the staff were friendly, and understanding. read more

I stayed two nights at Henry's Fork Inn in St Anthony, Idaho in July 2012. I do not recommend anyone staying at this location due to the dishonesty of the housekeeping staff. My Kindle was stolen from my room. After numerous conversations with staff I was told that the owner has no interest in making restitution. The facilities were clean, the bed was OK, the breakfast was adequate but it was not worth the loss I experienced when housekeeping cleaned my room. read more

I waited until very late in the season to book our trip so I really didnt have options in lodging. I had decided to find another vacation destination, when my daughter found this vacancy, for $113 per night. We resoned that it was just a place to sleep and we would be on the go during the day, so all would be fine. The people at the front desk were friendly and courteous. We ALL wanted to go somewhere else when we saw the room, but it was pre-paid with no refund. It mad my skin crawl. The beds were at least comfortable. The room and bathroom filthy dirty - too dirty to even use the shower!! Sink drain was broken - my son fixed it. I got an infection from putting my hand in the water trying to fix it. Breakfast is not until 7am, so we forfeited it except for the day we left, when they were out of coffee at 8:30 and there was a line out the door waiting for waffles which had to be made by the one and only desk clerk. Sitting area was super-small so I am guessing people got their waffle and ate in their rooms. This place was 1.5-2 hrs from Yellowstone. They were doing construction on the road so ended up being a lot longer. After sitting in the car so much getting thru yellowstone, the long ride back to the inn was torture. Note that the town is also a dirty little dump, with no restaurants (there is one in the parking lot - reviewers said pay cash so they won't change your tip amt!). Only place for coffee was maverick across the street - coffee was stone cold! We left a day early, even though it was prepaid and found a brand new, clean, luxury room for just a little bit more, down the highway. We will never use hotel.com again- horrible experience! read more
