Now the grocery is a Bash's with normal hours, so if you live in Morenci there is probably no need to use the Conoco mini-mart. For those of us passing through...it's a godsend. The women's restroom is always relatively clean, probably because they keep it locked (but not the men's. talk about unfair!). The cashiers without fail know when women are looking for the key and so they hand it over quickly. Along with the typical selection of mini-mart packaged snacks, coffee, sodas and beers, they also have a fried bar. At least that's what I call it - it's a selection of deep-fried items kept under heat lamps. Disgusting you say? In a big city yes, but when your only other options are a couple mediocre sit-down diners and you want to get on the road for the 4 hour drive back to Phoenix ASAP, a heat-lamped corn dog can be oddly appealing. Greer doesn't have big stores, etc. and the Lazy Trout does an excellent job of carrying lots of things one might need while camping or glamping! They also have a large selection of gift items, shirts, sweatshirts, etc. Everyone is always friendly and helpful. I love that they offer free maps of the area as well as any advice about things to do. They also have cabins and a lodge if you need a place to stay. We've stayed in their cabins a few times in the past and have always had a great experience.
