While exploring the adorable mountain town of Greer, Arizona, we discovered The Coffee Cure, and it…read moremay be one of the most creative coffee stops we have ever visited! The coffee shop is tucked inside a short school bus, which gives the whole place such a fun and unforgettable personality. The surrounding area is just as entertaining, with statues of elk, deer, and even a pig adding to the playful mountain atmosphere. Since it was a warm day, my husband and I both ordered iced drinks, and the coffee was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed them! The gentleman who waited on us was friendly and kind, and I told him this business would be a huge hit in the Portland, Oregon, metro area. Great coffee served from a school bus? Portland would love it! There are several tables where you can sit and enjoy your drink, including some covered seating for a little shade. It is the perfect place to relax, people-watch, and see visitors making their way along the walking paths through town. Greer itself is such a charming place to explore, with a museum, walking trails, restaurants, cabins for rent, a creek running through town, and wonderfully friendly locals. The Coffee Cure is the perfect stop while taking it all in. Delicious coffee, a clever setup, friendly service, and plenty of mountain-town charm--definitely check them out when you visit Greer!

When we arrived, our table was ready with two dishes of water and milk bones for our dogs. Our service was great and our server very friendly. The margaritas are very good. The cheese curds were cooked perfectly and tasted great. The juicy flavorful brisket was served on Texas toast with crispy French fries. The buffalo pizza had great flavor but the crust was not crisp at all, I think it needed few more minutes in the oven. (Reheated in our air fryer the next night and it was even better and crispy) The dessert options were plenty. We ended up with a peach crisp and the butter cake. Both were delicious. Foxfire at Alpine is a cozy place, often with wonderful live music. We will be back again next time we go camping.

What a difference from a few years ago! I took my hunting buddy here for dinner before opening day…read moreof turkey season and our experience was pretty bad. I had made reservations in the bar to watch the NFL draft. They put us as far away from the smaller TV as they could and right next to the music speakers. We ordered Rye Old Fashioneds to start. They served us kiddie cherry juice and soda with a splash of rye. We complained that these were not old fashioneds and the bartender said that "that is how they make an Old Fashioned". So if we order fried chicken, would we get spaghetti and meatballs? This was ridiculous. The bartender did not offer to make us something else - he just walked away. We tried the raviolli special as a shared app. It was reheated frozen garbage on canned stewed tomatos. My friend had a brisket sandwich and I had the jalapeno burger for entres. Both were unremarkable and overpriced. We were both stomach sick for two days after eating here - must have been the ravioli "special". I cant imagine how I enjoyed our visit years ago. The owner sits in the dining room and greets guests as they come and go - friendly but wierd. He needs to fix his bad breath if he wants to talk to all the guests.
