My Yelp friend Monica E. said it was one of her favorite so I had to check it out. Willow Springs Lake was actually created in 1966 by the Arizona Game and Fish Department as a trout fishing lake. They regularly stock the lake with trout spring through fall increasing your chance of catching a fish. Willow Springs is the second most visited lake so there will be competition for those fish. Willow Springs Lake has held the Arizona State record for largest trout caught so there are some big fish in the lake. There is a campground about a mile away. The lake website said it was in walking distance but it's more than I want to walk with chairs, cooler, etc. The campground has no services (water, electricity, sewer hookups) so you need to come prepared. Overall, it's a beautiful blue, clean lake in a pine forest that is a wonderful place to see and enjoy.

I have been lucky to find Columbia jackets that were really nice. We came here today because we couldn't find rain gear at other stores and gave it a chance. They have some of the same gear as a bigger sporting goods store but nothing we wanted. This wouldn't be my first place to go but it is an option when you are looking for something that you can't find other places. Service was really good today giving it that extra half star.
