Placed an order for curb side pick up. Six hours later I still hadnt gotten a notice it was ready. Called the store and was told a manager would call me back. Waited 45 min and no call so I called again. Manager put me on hold and disconnected. Tried calling back 7 times and let it ring 10 times and no one picked up. Finally got through and they said they didn't have an order for me. I told him I'd call back with the order number. I gave them the order number and still said no order. Manager finally said he had to "go through a back door" and found my order. I asked to have it ready for pickup immediately as it was getting late and I dont like to drive at night. He said they were open until 9....pretty sure its dark then. Got to the store and called to say I was there. Phone rang 10 times. No answer. I called back 3 more times and no answer. I finally walked into the store to tell them I was there. I have a mobility issue which is why I did curb side so I couldn't have to walk in. I have had several other issues with curb side pick up in the past. Im thinking they dont need my business. read more

C-A-L Ranch has been one of our favorite stores for a long time. They have everything you need for farming, ranching, great work clothes, gardening, barbecuing, fishing or hunting. They also have clothes for both men and women. We have purchased a few things and signed up for a smoking class...for grilling smoked meats. It's a definite go-to store. Well, just when I thought it we'd cool to come back, at 7:12pm on 9/16/23, a younger short, Caucasian girl working in apparel was outright rude and totally unhelpful in "helping" me in trying to buy PANTS! How dare I, right? First she lied to me that they didn't make them in my size, waist 28, but then started to tell me how she'd have to have them shipped there and that would cost me an extra fee. What's wrong with your employees? Do they think Cal-Ranch exists to give them a paycheck? She acted like I was bothering her for asking her for my size, so, I abandoned my cart with about $900.00 of stuff I was buying and walked out. I'll give my money to another store where my shopping there doesn't inconvenience your poor younger employees without a work ethic, and follow this up with a call to corporate. I'm tired of being treated like I'm a bother to your staff when I want to buy something. This has been an ongoing thing with the attitudes there. Who wants to be made to feel bad just having the nerve to dare buy something in your store? read more

I usually love this store, but the manager is not being ethical. We looked at a rocking chair, the last one left. It was marked down a "whopping" 10%. This rocking chair had been on display for a LONG TIME and it was used by many. Okay...10% off? I guess.... UNTIL I saw that it was broken. It was broken at the arm and it had literally been glued back together and a screw was placed in that same spot! It surely would not last much longer with the repair already falling apart, which is why I happened to notice it. I spoke to the manager and asked if he would consider a larger discount because the chair was broken. He reminded me that it was discounted 10% because it is a display and he was not willing to discount it further. What I have a problem with is the fact that the manager KNEW the chair was broken, yet it was not disclosed in any way. All the sign said was 10% off. One would not likely see that it was broken. I am sure that the person that buys the chair will not notice or they would not buy it!! I was willing to pay $20 for it to use it temporarily knowing it would fully break soon. I think it is dishonest for the employees/manager to KNOW the chair is broken and sell it without full disclosure!! read more

Some of the people at this business aren't too great with customer service. Being told that you can't get hay after 7pm is a little weird to me and also telling me I can only get a max # of hay because they only have so many left is absolutely hilarious. Like why? First time I have seen this chain of stores so being a hardware guy I wanted to check it out myself. I was in awe at the size and selection of everything they had. This is like the Costco of hardware stores. From buckets to bullets this place has all the good stuff. I could spend an hour looking at everything but I had places to go, maybe the next time since I was just visiting the area. Everyone was pleasant and friendly and I point this out because I didn't look like the majority of the crowd. I was wearing a tee shirt and shorts, everyone else wore flannel long sleeves and denim pants and outside temperatures were low 50's. I'm such a nut. But they had stuff I was on the lookout for at the ammo counter. Prices were not the best but not the worst and they had what I wanted. If you need something for everyone in the family go here. Called to see if store had a riflescope in stock, was told they had 12 in case of brand I was looking for and that I would need to come in to see if they had particular one I wanted. Apparently gentleman that answered phone couldn't take the time to look at 12 scopes. Customer service just isn't a thing anymore. read more

This review is regarding propane services. I do not reccomend coming here for propane services as long as Amerigas is their supplier. We came through town in our RV and needed our tank filled. The employee overfilled our tank and a leak sprung. Unable to help us the manager told us to wait till morning to go their supplier down the street to get to have it looked it. The supplier was very rude, argumentative and told us he couldn't help us. He wouldn't even drain our over filled propane tank he told us it would take to long. The Cal Ranch Store Manager then reffered us to the local propane supplier Owens Energy. Owens confirmed Cal Ranch did over fill our tank and identified where our leak was. Helping us get back on the road in just a little over an hour. It sad to see a small town company doing business with a greedy corporate company instead of another local family owned business. Be careful getting your propane filled here because Amerigas will not help you out if something goes wrong. read more

I purchased a pair of Wrangler relaxed fit jeans, marked 46X34. When I returned home in Tucson, I tried them on and wore them around for a few hours and noted that they felt very tight. I took them off and measured them and found that they were mis-marked. They measured 44 in the waist, but were marked "46 in." Living in Tucson, I am not going to drive to Show low for a refund, because the gasoline would cost more to do that than the pants. Just be on the lookout for mis-marked merchandise. I did speak with the Apparel Mgr, "Mary", who told me to bring them back for a refund. Since I live in Tucson, that is not going to happen. Nice store that is kept very clean , organized and well stocked . Large selection from gardening, clothing, tools , feed , pet supplies etc etc etc .... My parents and I like coming here to shop because it suits such a large variety of our needs , and I Am absolutely gonna pick up some old fashioned candy too before I check out. read more

Good deals on western clothing! I stop in here time to time to get Carhart clothing and wranglers and shirts... Better prices than many places as these guy actually have sales that are more than $3 off a $50 shirt. Overall I like the store I usually know what I need heading into the store and get in and out quick. The ladies in the apparel department have always been real helpful and answer all my questions. Only reason I shorted them a star is that I went in to purchase a handgun I had been shopping around for and they had a special that tossed a laser sight in for free. I went to the gun counter and looked around found the model I wanted the gentleman working the counter looked at me and looked away. I then stood there for a few minutes being ignored while the worker carried on a conversation with another. Just then an older gentleman walks up and he drops the conversation to help his and the man states he is just looking he takes a gun out of the case and hands it to him to look at. I can't believe the response of the manager in this store in response to a recall of a Stihl weed trimmer we bought there last year. First, they didn't answer a call for information the previous day, and then the Manager said it would take two days to check if the tank vent was fully inserted. I had to end up taking the trimmer down the street to ACE Hardware who was able to check it in less than 5 minutes. CAL don't seem to understand when you live out of town it is not convenient to drive back in 20 miles to pick up something that takes 5 minutes to check. CAL last year was a great store, this year not so much. From now on I'm going to ACE or Tractor Supply. read more
