Henry Earl is a great place to stop for a bite to share while wine tasting. Their tastings are 5 current wines, and there's a few routes you can choose to go. There is many snacks available as well. The wine was OK, not our favorite in terms of complexity. The venue is great fun, with lots of seating choices and beautiful plants and art surrounding you!

The tasting room is beautiful, and this is one of the few tasting rooms we have found that serve substantial food (not just cheese and crackers but actual "meal" level food). My husband had the brie prosciutto flatbread while I had the Mediterranean flatbread. Both were delicious and just the right size for lunch. We both did the flight #2 tasting of 5 red wines. They were very good but we felt that some were a little overpriced. We did buy 3 bottles but we would have bought more had they been priced a little lower, particularly the cabernet sauvignon (priced ~$65 at the time of this review). Instead, we bought a bottle each of the two red blends and merlot. We do recommend this winery and plan to come back in the future.

I really like the eclectic interior with all the little jewelry to buy and foliage all over. Just makes you feel like you're walking into an old-timey mansion then there's the beautiful wood bar. Obviously a great selection of wines but my favorite was the food. I had a pork tamale and it was delicious.

This place offers great wine, friendly service and great food. We always stop in every time we visit Walla Walla.

What a great experience! My dog walked me by here and decided we needed to sit on the patio and stay a bit... for wine. I drank. She watched. Excellent service. Lengthy wine menu. I was so impressed that I bought 6 bottles of red wine . Sadly, my girl dog wouldn't carry them home (bad dog) nor would she pay for them. Oh, and the interior is absolutely stunning. Check out the bar stools...

We visited Henry Earl Estates, as one of our wine-hopping stops, which turned out to be a fun place. We had the entire place to ourselves inside, which was surprising since the space is super cool! You can tell it was an old saloon, and they've really kept up with the western-like vibe gone fancy. We took seats at the bar, the best seat in the house. Literally, they were leather tufted bar stools with handles and comfy backs. We decided to do a taster, which included one white wine and four reds. All of the wines were flavorful but light. It was also nice that instead of pouring the wine into our glasses for each tasting, for all of the reds, the employee poured all of the wines in mini carafes, so we could pour the samples ourselves. It reminded me of beer tasting. Nice touch. In addition to wine flights, they have a long list of different wines, including some on tap! They also have Washington craft beers, bites, apparel, and growlers for sale. Lots to check out here in an inviting large space with an outdoor front patio. You can tell this serves more of a gathering place than the typical wine tasting room.

We stopped in on a whim while in Walla Walla. The wine was fair, so many better choices in the area. We also ordered a cheese plate that took forever to get (had to ask twice if it was coming). We were more than halfway done with our tasting before it arrived. The staff there when we went ( Saturday afternoon) was terrible. Didn't know or didn't care to share any information on the wines we were tasting. They seemed annoyed that anyone had come in. We saw them being rude to more than three small groups of people that came in. They didn't ask if we liked anything, didn't ask if we would like a glass, or if they could get us a bottle of something before we left. Hard pass for our next visit.

We were so excited to find a place that had a happy hour and some food. Thankfully they also have some yummy wines too. We ordered the cheese board here and some stuffed mushrooms. You for sure should get 2 cheese boards if your group is larger than 2 and you're hungry. Wine here was great. They give you the tasting On a little board and it's nice to take things on your own. A really fun interior with some comfy seats.

stopped here to sit on the patio and have a glass of wine while we waited for dinner reservations down the street. the winery is lovely inside and out. the patio is spacious and covered in beautiful plants and flowers. great people watching as it's right in the sidewalk and everyone walks by. the wine was good. I had a decent rosè and my mom liked the selection of sauvignon blancs. they do have a good amount of white wines which I know some people seek out, so if that's what you're here for they have a lot to choose from. our server brittany was super sweet and friendly. we enjoyed her when she came by. i'm taking stars off because of how the owner (I believe) treated me when we were on our way out. brittany was off busy with other customers so I popped my head inside to let this other woman know we would like our check. there was no one inside anywhere near me. the woman screams at me- "YOU NEED TO BE WEARING YOUR MASK!" I was standing 5 feet from where I was sitting at my table, where no one was around me- and I wasn't required to be masked sitting there. it was so awkward and uncomfortable. I could understand if there were lots of people around me but literally no one was anywhere near me. the way she barked at me was so rude it took me by surprise. I would never speak to a customer that way in any capacity. she came out with the bill and had us sign. I didn't even know how to act- i'm not a fan of confrontation like that. we left as quickly as possible. overall, wine was decent- brittany was sweet- good people watching- make sure you wear your mask or the owner will scream at you. I won't be back.

This is such an honor to write the very first Yelp review of "Henry Earl Estates"! I am writing this specifically on their exclusive 'wine room' located in downtown Walla Walla, WA. Had it not been for my amazing fiancée, Claudia H., I would have never found out about this place. And what makes it all the more special is that she is actually a native of Walla Walla (born and raised). However, since she relocated to California, the surge of wineries has literally quadrupled in just the past few years. "Henry Earl Estates" is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Walla Walla, WA on East Main Street. And one unique thing about this little gem of a city is that there are several places to go wine tasting. However, this place caught our attention and I will be focusing my review specifically on them. Parking was an absolute breeze as we found a spot directly outside around 2:00pm on a beautiful Thursday afternoon in September. A little bit of history about "Henry Earl Estates" is that they got their name from two local fathers of the vineyard, Henry Shaw and Earl West. Do keep in mind that none of their barrels are at this tasting room. This is how all of the wine tasting rooms are in downtown Walla Walla. Unlike Napa, CA and the Columbia Valley (where you're actually going to the vineyards), everything here is mainly just a tasting station. As we walk inside, the one noticeable look was that it had a truly rustic, warm, and comfortable atmosphere. Deep, rich wooden floors flowed beautifully with the classic 19th-century styled chairs. Everything flowed so well into the brick walls which made the whole interior a major focal point of the winery. It almost had a "saloon" look to it minus the bottles of whiskey and replacing them with some of Washington's finest reds and whites. We were then greeted by a gentleman that was helping another couple. He then had us sample a flight of their whites and reds. I have to be honest, after sampling some of this wine (primarily their Robust Red Mountain & Russel Creek), this stuff actually tops what I've had in the Napa Valley! The flavor is aromatic and sweet. We even tried their "Cheese Flight" (for $14.00) which included Imported and Domestic cheeses, salami, ham, mixed nuts, fresh fruit, honey, and gourmet crackers. This was also very impressive as everything paired itself perfectly with our wines. So do yourself a favor, definitely give "Henry Earl Estates" a try! Their service and wines are excellent. And best of all, they have longer hours than most places in downtown Walla Walla (as they may stay open as late as 9pm). With the growing trend of wine tasting in this part of the USA, I definitely encourage everyone to visit Walla Walla (and their award-winning wines). You will not be disappointed!

I understand that it's a small, family-run business, but receiving multiple confirmations felt excessive and not quite the relaxed vibe one looks for while on vacation. That said, the property itself is gorgeous and the setting is beautiful both indoors and outdoors. We were seated outside, and the service was fantastic. Our sommelier was friendly, engaging, and made the experience enjoyable. She took the time to sit with on the parties and have a personal one on one chat .The wines themselves were excellent ,we even ended up buying a bottle. Overall, it was a lovely visit, but it's probably not a place I would prioritize returning to on a future trip.

The tasting menu included two reds and one white, all of which were excellent. The most surprising part came at the end, when we were ready to pay and the staff informed us that the tasting was complimentary. We were genuinely shocked and grateful, and we ended up purchasing two bottles.

A Memorable Visit - Warm Hospitality, Great Wine, and Dog-Friendly!…read more We visited Kinhaven on a Sunday around 2pm and were immediately greeted by Chris, who was incredibly friendly, charismatic, and knowledgeable about the wines and their vineyard sites. He took the time to make us feel welcome, ensuring we were comfortable at our shaded table (it was around 95°F!) and never rushed us through the tasting. He even remembered our names and gave great recommendations for nearby dinner spots to check out after our visit. We brought our Australian Shepherd along, and he was warmly welcomed as well. They also have their own adorable winery dog, Monty (possibly a Shih Tzu?), who was mostly inside but made an appearance toward the end of our tasting. He's a bit cautious with other dogs but very sweet. We sat outside and enjoyed the peaceful setting. We learned Kinhaven also hosts weddings--there had just been one the night before with about 50 guests dining in the orchard. It sounds absolutely picturesque! As for the wines--every single one we tried was impressively good. The $25 per person tasting fee is waived with the purchase of two bottles, which is more than worth it given the quality. Highly recommend visiting--great wine, thoughtful service, and a relaxing, welcoming environment! Exactly what we were looking for!
