First time there and walked out. I have never walked out of a restaurant, the place looks clean and I am sure their food its not horrible. But my avocado omelet didn't have a nice presentation and had black avocado. My husbands omelet was raw inside. The potatoes where blend. To my surprise they charge us the coffee, oh well!! Hate This Place!!! Have been here twice, First Time As Soon As We Walked In We Were Greeted and Seated, The Second Time The Customer Service Was Awful.. This is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. The service was bad, the food was gross, and the booths were small. The people cooking our food were touching it with their hands and then touching other stuff. They were very unsanitary and didn't use gloves or wash their hands. I found a hair in my food and I noticed that the cooks weren't wearing hair nets either. It wasn't busy and they took a long time just to take our order and deliver our food to the table. My food was cold and unenjoyable. I was very disgusted while eating my food because I was eating a BLT and I saw one of the cooks touching the bread with their hands. read more

Stopped for a quick bite, and that was a mistake. The waitress didn't speak good English and didn't understand our order. I ordered a turkey bit, and it was overly heavy in the mayo. I asked for wheat bread and got white. The lettuce was with, and my husband found a hair in the ketchup. The bathrooms were not clean which should have been the first sign. read more

Went with family on Sunday 7 of us we had to sit at 2 to 4 tables we all ordered that the same time one table got their food right away one of us got served at the other table 15 minutes later the kids got served and another 20 minutes later we got served the people that came in after us into other tables got served before us we waited and waited and no explanation they finally brought our food and ask to talk to the manager she said oh he left already so she bought me a piece of paper and told me to write down my complaint and he called me turns out they gave our food to somebody else didn't even bother to tell us or compensate us for anything knowing that it was their mistake manager never called us it's like when you go out for a family meal you want to eat at the same time but in three different shifts and they didn't care one bit I've been there before but I won't go back he could have the decency to call at least if he cared about his customers read more

The food was ok. I ordered country fried which was good , my brother got a blt sandwich which was so so. The service was terribly bad! We got seated and given drinks and food but our waitress never bothered to check up on us. An elderly couple walked in and sat themselves. They sat for 15 min until finally they yelled to be heard. It wasn't even busy! There were 3 tables taken and all we heard were the waitresses up front gossiping. Bad service. Won't be coming back. read more

Loved the food...what they call a hot turkey sandwich is a couple pieces of bread with the best freaking turkey outside of my own oven, not processed turkey- I'm talking real turkey here- covered in gravy with a couple scoops of excellent mashed potatoes. Weird that no veggies or cranberry are included, but whatever. The Ortega Chile roast beef sandwich is amazing- thin sliced beef with tomato, lettuce, and cheese and of course the chile which is the best part (it's a mild Ortega...tastes exactly like the canned Ortega's and may very well be, but so what...) I will have to eat this sandwich for the rest of my life (or Henri's-whichever comes first)....so stinking good! We ordered all of this to go and it was still nice and hot when we got it home....BUT, and this is a BIG deal to me and other like minded individuals who no longer care to cook, but love the planet...they have GOT TO GET IT TOGETHER AND STOP USING STYROFOAM. this place is an oldie but goodie yes it is on a corner of a really busy street and well really doesnt offer much but it is decent food at a reasonable price and just okay the service was ok other than forgeting to refill a coffee cup to keep the coffee warm but other than that it is a hometown spot with options for the typical diner food read more

I passed through town and had two meals here. I had a california burger for lunch with a coke, and for dinner I had an avocado and sprouts sandwich with a glass of white wine. The pretty server chatted with me, which was nice. The place feels very comfortable and kind of old fashioned, but not quite small town. You get the feeling that a lot of people there are regulars, and everybody is relaxed in a California coastal way. The food was a lot better than it needed to be for this kind of place, and the prices were on the low side. I would definitely recommend it. read more

We've been to Henri's several times before and until our last visit I would have given it 5 stars. We had a bad experience on a Sunday and left without eating. We were a party of 5 and, yes, I realize that it was a Sunday and that is the busiest time of the week. The problem was that that we were there for about 45 minutes after we placed our orders and food had not arrived. The tables next to us finished, different guests arrived and they ordered, received their food and left while we had not received our orders (nothing exotic....standard orders from the menu). Finally 2 of our orders arrived. The two people in our party that had food in front of them politely waited until the rest of our orders arrived before eating. A full 20 minutes later we had nothing more than 2 cold plates of food for 5 people. I questioned the waitress and the response was, It's Sunday and we're busy". My wife asked if they could warm the now cold orders that had been on the table and the plates were snatched away by an obviously angry waitress. About 10 minutes later, with no food at all on the table, we decided to leave and told the waitress we were leaving. She didn't respond, she simply turned her back on us and walked away. Something was wrong at Henri's that Sunday. Maybe the full staff of cooks didn't show up or maybe our order ticket got misplaced but, whatever the problem, it wasn't handled well. I don't know if we'll go back or not and I even wonder if they would want us back. Eating out should be a pleasant experience, not a frustrating or intimidating one. read more

This was a great place to have breakfast . My husband and I were traveling to our next destination and stopped here . The staff were friendly and the food was great. So we just went to get some food to-go and wow they have hit a new low.My other half ordered a steak omelette and the meat inside was rancid!!!!!!! It was so nasty I had to spit it out after I had a taste.The hash browns were not cooked all the way through and the toast was dry and blahhhhhhhh. I eat here when we Are close by.But never again will I tread these dirty uninspired waters again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our family got a rare get together and Henri's looked to be the better choice to meet. None of us had been there but the reviews were good so we tried it. There was 8 of us, they didn't have a table big enough for all of us. We took the booth and added 2 stools to the front of the table. Most of the family ordered the veggie omelet, a house special omelet and I ordered eggs Benedict. Everyone's omelets looked good but the eggs Benedict was another story. The sauce looked like they took flour and butter and made a paste and added yellow coloring and slapped it on. It and really lumpy. My cousins and I all looked at it stunned like whats that? I tasted it and it in deed tasted like a blob of flour. I asked to take it back and just give me pouched eggs. It took 15 mins for them to do that and by then everyone was about done with their meal. I wish I would have thought to take a picture of it. Needless to say we wont be going back!!! No apology no discount = disappointed in the service and the food. The food is good but when it comes to the waiting time & being seated properly is horrible!!! This is the second time it happens to us. We get there write our name down for a party of 8 . We waited 45min while a party of 7 that had gotten there after us were seated within 25-30min . I asked one of the hostess how long more since we've been waiting & the party that got here after us is already seated. She said it's going to be another 15min I said okay that's fine. Then another 20min passed we haven't gotten seated yet. We went to go ask & they said they'll have a table for us within 15min . So they did but we had to be seated separately. We were just soooo over waiting that we just said okay that's fine. Then there was a big party leaving & I asked the hostess if there was anyway of us being seated all together and she said she would ask. She came back and said unfortunately we can move you due to them having to seat another party. & I mentioned that we waiting over 1hr & 20min to be seated & if we can just take the table since we got here first and she still denied us the table. Once she denied me the table she left & started laughing. Like i said this is the second time it happens where they seat parties that get there after us get seated first. read more

The food was most excellent. I had the Chef Salad - Yum - large portion and the turkey was very good (tasted fresh). Waitress was a little bit of a ding bat - but I was sitting at the counter so I received good service. For those sitting in the booths, she forgot alot. I had to tell her three times what dressing I wanted - It's all good:) The cook was great. I really enjoyed watching him work his magic in the open kitchen. The owner really needs to do some upgrades - geez - what a challenge to work in the kitchen - owner should be ashamed of him/herself for making employees work in those conditions. The beer was REALLY OLD and outdated - but you don't go to a diner for drinks:) I will return, but will only have water to drink. The food was coming out of the kitchen, but the waitress wasn't delivering it very timely.....I felt sorry for the cook. Most likely only this waitress had problems getting out the food.
