Hennessey is a fraud and rips people off. He's been doing it for years. Look it up. Their vehicles are student built with the cheapest parts they can get. They also lie about the horsepower made. Your takeoff parts will be "lost", more like stolen. Alex will make empty promises and not keep his word. They also won't stand by their warranty and fix problems they created. Bottom line do your own research and you'll see what I'm talking about. Avoid them at all costs. Sure wish I did and hopefully I saved someone from making the same mistake I did. read more

I could not be more disappointed with Hennessey's work or service. My "upgraded" performance car has had nothing but problems in its few miles, and Hennessey provides zero warranty (and six month wait times should any service be needed). Just like Saman B., I have the 1000hp Demon upgrade, and just like his car, mine has repeatedly and inexplicably gone into limp mode, notwithstanding "repairs." I have owned three cars of the same model, two of which were not "upgraded" by Hennessey and those cars performed far better and had materially fewer issues over the course of years than my Hennessey "upgrade" has had in mere months. Horrible customer service. Quoted me one price. Paid the price. Now they want to charge me an extra 10K over the quoted price because they broke out the brake package on the invoice. I refused to pay the 10K overage. Now they won't honor the warranty. I totally agree they are scam artist. read more

UPDATE: Update: John himself gave me a call, apologized and assured me he is going to take care of the problem. Towed the car at his expense and I am certain that he will take good care of me. I been a John henessey fan ever since I was a teenager. At the end of the day all I want is to be acknowledged as a customer and taken care of which he did and is doing. I will send another update when I get the car back and can't wait to drive me beast --------- The worst decision of my life. I went for the 1000HP hellcat upgrade. My car is serial #2. They kept my car for a whole year because they couldn't figure out how to by pass the torque sensor in transmission. After I got the car the car kept going in the limp mode (from torque sensor) they literally took my car back and "fixed" but it kept having the same issue. They even send their technician technician Patrick to California and he couldn't figure out why the car keeps stalling and going into a limp mode. They promised to get back to me regarding what the next steps are to fix the car and they literally never got back to me and keep ignoring me. So disappointed. Meeting up with my attorney this week to discuss legal action. As a business owner not everything is going to go right in business but ignoring the problem and ignoring the customer with a problem is not going to get things any better. First off I'd like to say, this was a BIG purchase for me. The importance of getting this right was crucial. I spent countless hours researching different cars and build options available to make sure I was within my budget and had a kick ass car for the years ahead. Well... With one full summer and 12,000+ miles under my belt, all I have to say is WOW!!! I went with the 2016 Mustang and had Hennessey do the HPE750 build. It's been absolutely amazing! I freaking LOVE this car! Everything from the performance, to the aggressive stance... it's nasty!! I constantly find myself returning people's keys, phones, wallets, earrings lol yes it's THAT fast! The way people stop and stare at the car when I drive by is something else... Crowds of 10+ gazing into the motor compartment at the meets and shows. Super classy build inside and out. Quick story: I was at a car show a couple months back to check out the rides at a buddy's local business... Popped the hood and started looking around and visiting. That night my buddy called me and asked why I took off. He told me I was voted best in show Haha I wasn't there to collect the $350 and trophy so they gave it to the next guy! Haha EPIC! My entire summer was like this! Anyway, extremely satisfied with the entire Hennessey experience. The in depth talks about the different build options with Aaron, the high performance consultant. The time spent on the quality build from Matt has this thing looking factory clean. With all the power and handling you'd expect from Hennessey, it drives angry! They even did a "customer delivery" video. I've had a couple people recognize me from YouTube already haha. After care/warranty is good too. I had one of my carbon fiber coil pack covers peel. Don't get your hopes up! If you plan to upgrade to your muscle car and need to save your money to get it done make sure you check with Hennessey Performances ever changing policy's. I have an mint 09 CTSV with 20K on it and I got a quote for a performance upgrade package less than a year ago. I saved my dollars to get it done and called today to schedule the work and was denied services. Its been less than a year and now they do not work on anything less than a 2013 with 9K miles. Whereas when I called less than a year ago for the quote on my 09 CTSV with less than 30K miles was OK. The car was driven a whopping 210 miles since I spoke with them last. If you want to go with a shop that will honor a performance package quote do not even consider Hennessey Performance as they seem to lack integrity! Total let down! So discouraging! read more

Horrible Customer service. They want the sale and when something happens you can not get a hold of anyone, They are the biggest crooks in the business. I will never buy another product from them again. I purchased the Raptor kit, died flat on the highway, had to pay ford 300 bucks to reprogram and then hennessey would not help or get a call back in any way. I purchased a HPE550 Camero 2010 in March of 2011. Victory red, SS, everything on it. Retirement gift to myself. First time I bought a new car for me. The last 5 years were fun. Time to smog and the Hennessy portion of the conversion is not legal. Hennessy says that I have to register it out of state to keep it. The literature stated that the conversion was legal in 50 states. Loosing my Henny. PS I can't even get a return email from Hennessy or the customer support. Love the car, breaks my heart. read more

Hennessey Performance Engineering is the worst experience I've ever had with a vehicle. First of all they charged me for a 750 upgrade on my 2016 CTS V that was to include inductive air, supercharger pulley upgrade, headers, mid pipes, high flow cats, an engine tune, vehicle badging and floor mats. Of these items I received: an engine tune, and vehicle badging. They were unprepared for my vehicle, which they assured me they were ready for and would only take 4 weeks complete all items as described on my work order. After approximately 10 weeks, they decided that the only way to get the horsepower promised was to add a cam. They supposedly did so, but then failed to complete all of the other major items promised in their sales order and invoice. My CTS V has been leaving a trail of smoke every time I get on the throttle, ever since picking it up from their unimpressive shop in Sealy, TX. I've attempted to contact Patrick Vry and JP who were suppose to be in charge of warranty issues and have not been able to receive a call back. This has gone on for a year. BUYER BEWARE, HPE has no integrity and you most likely will end up like me, extremely disappointed and with a screwed up car. read more

I purchased a 2016 Mustang GT from my local ford dealership. I put 725 miles on it and thought this is nice. Good factory horsepower, but nothing over the top. As I drove it around I noticed more powerful muscle cars pulling up next to me or driving past me with greater conviction. And I thought to myself, "I want what they have and more". So I decided to check out Hennessey, a world class tuning legend. I watched the videos, read the reviews, and made an educated decision. I shipped my mustang to Hennessey and had the "HPE700" package installed with carbon fiber coil pack covers and an axle-back exhaust. All I can say is WOW!!! That was the best decision. My mustang now has slightly more rear wheel horsepower than the Dodge Hellcat. Throughout the rpm band, it drives and sounds better than stock. The best part is the artistic beauty under the hood. The guys at Hennessey know what they are doing. They are artisans of the automotive and tuning world. They are also professionals. They couldn't have treated me any better from start to finish (finishing earlier than the planned estimate). They made me feel like part of the Hennessey family. Hennessy has done a excellent job on all three of my cars . To date Hennessey has done a 1000 hp package for my Z28 an excellent car , 750 HP package for my ZL 1 which by the way is my daily driver . I have put over 40k miles with no trouble at all. Been from Texas to Oregon, Montana , South Dakota,Wyoming , Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona on my last road trip. The service is great John and his team have always been up front and quick to help. My third car is a C7 start off with a 600 package end up.
