First let me say i will NEVER BUY A CAR FROM ANYONE ELSE, NEVER HAVE SERVICE DONE ANYWHERE ELSE as long as Eric in Service and Bill Kimbrough as Gen. Mgr are at this Dealership!! I currently have a 2016 Outback 3.6R. I've waited a week, hoping it would lessen my "gush" about this incident, it hasn't. To The Holy Trinity and their Vessel, Eric in Service I am overwhelmingly greatful!! And Mr. Kimbrough who just warms your heart with such helpful and sincere kindness. And having had over 20 vehicles in my life time, my opinion here comes from much experience. On Sat. afternoon about 3 PM, my daughter and I went out to the parking lot at Target in The Grove to load the car w groceries. I attempted to start the car, it only clicked. I turned evrything off and tried again..nothing. For the next 45 min, I stopped other shoppers looking for jumper cables. A lady had some and we tried to start it w her car, then a pick up and kept working w it til everyone gave up. I remembered that I had Starlink so I called them. They would send a Tow truck to take us to Hendrick. But now it was 4 PM and we didn't know if the Tow would get us there before they closed. I called Hendrick and Receptionist could not reach Service, but knowing my situation, she assured she would make sure someone called me back. Meanwhile, I started calling around to anyone who might have a battery and NO ONE had one that would work. I called back to Hendrick and got Eric. He would check to see if they had a battery and call me back. In the meanwhile, the Tow Co texted back to say it would be "190 minutes" to get there! The Dealership would be closed, it would be dark and COLD. Although I know how to replace a battery and had tools, I wondered if I could handled the batteries with an injured hand. Then to make matters worse again, the Tow Co. called back to say they could only carry one person in the truck, meaning I would have to leave my daughter, with special medical issues either in the car or in Target (not healthy for her). And what if it wasn't just the battery (the previous helpers had many other concerning ideas)? How could I get back from the Dealership? What if I couldn't get back before Target closed and they would leave her outside alone!!! And even if I did get back, we would be stranded in the cold parking lot all night and temps were supposed to fall into low 40s, if not high 30s. I was beginnig to panic when Eric called back to say he had a battery and where he would leave it out. I had to interrupt him to explain about leaving my daughter and ask if he could find someone to drop it by to us at Target. It was 5 PM and people were leaving but he said he would try to find someone and call me back. The sun that was keeping the car warm was going down behind the trees. I live 30+ miles away and there was no one to come out on this cold late evening to get us. The Tow truck arrived, the Driver did jump off the car but warned us that with the weak battery, it might stop again on the road and we would be stranded again. I turned away from the Driver and looked up, Praying with all my might. He (God) knew exactly what was going on, He knew the consequences on my daughter if this did not get better soon. The words came "I will never leave you or forsake you"....I was holding on to that with allll my might. I called the Dealership and no answer so I thought they might have left as usual and forgot. I was barely "hanging on" when I caught a glimpse of a smiling face in a pickup truck window! I get overwhelmed even now as I remember that face!! Backup Knight in Shining Armor...ERIC HAD ARRIVED...JUST AWESOME!!!!! He had a battery, put it in in seconds. I touched the Start button and ALL WAS WELL...Seriously and profoundly, this young man will never NEVER KNOW HOW GRATEFUL FOR AND IN AWE OF HIM we are. And knowing how kind he has been in the past, his heart was surely open to God using him as The Vessel to rescue these Damsels in Destress. So I am not sorry for gushing about this, it was just TOOOO AWESOME!!! On Monday I went in to express my appreciation to Mr Kimbrough and that he had such a special special person working for him. He was sooo kind he almost made me cry. These are reallllly great, kind and genuine Christ-like people...they are my Forever Car Company read more

I've taken my car here a few times. Came in here to have my car checked over last year and was told they don't do that. Ok... Last week we had an issue with the steering wheel shaking while braking. I was told by the service manager that I need to replace all four struts to the tune of $4,000. I had to laugh. 4 grand! Afterwards I watched the video he sent which was the guy standing next to the car trying to show how it rocked when he pushed on it. lol. Shouldn't he be under it showing me the bad struts? That cost me $239. I took the car to my friend's mechanic and he told me the rear brakes and rotors needed to be replaced. Struts were fine. Less than 400$. Problem solved. Car drives great. I will not be getting my Subaru serviced here any more. read more

Pros; clean, easy to book appt, friendly service people, nice place to wait. Cons: they literally commit daylight robbery by upcharging for services by over 100% I've been here twice, once for an oil change and once for a 60k service diagnostic. I was quoted over $2200 for the 60k service. Mind you, my car has literally 50,000 miles and is still practically new and I take extremely good care of it. I was so shocked by how casually they quoted me that price and how the salesperson/technician kept such a straight face while trying to explain why it cost that much. The part that made me concerned was him saying I needed a new battery (which was true although mine was only 18 months old) but quoting me $450 for it... I went straight to autozone and showed a technician- first, I got the exact same battery purchased and immediately installed for $220. Then, he spent over an hour with me explaining each service and the parts needed, and told me I could buy every single thing at autozone and take my car to Pepboys for them to perform the services for under $1k TOTAL. He literally said that the dealership was scamming the daylights out of me. As a woman who is clueless about cars I know I have to be careful not to be taken advantage of by greedy salespeople like this, but it's sad! I will not be coming back. They also charged $120 FOR AN OIL CHANGE.... I wasn't told the price until after it was completed, I should've asked up front, but I would never have expected that. It's literally $30 to buy a quart of fully synthetic oil and it takes 20 mins max to change the oil, it's all under the hood of the car (not even underneath the car) on my model! ROBBERY!!!! read more

Hendrick Subaru in Hoover is one of the worst dealerships to deal with. They do not care about helping their customers. The overcharge and will try sneaky tactics to get you to spend more. They recommend services that are not needed. I absolutely hate dealing with them. If you need service on your Subaru call Franklin Automotive where you won't be overcharged. At Franklins I know I am receiving quality service and I can trust them not to oversell me. read more

Had an unexpected problem, they did a great job correcting it. Also made adjustments to the repair process to accommodate our schedule.

We have owned 3 Subaru Outbacks and 1 Ascent. 2 were purchased at Hendrick and all have always had all maintenance performed there. We like the employees and have had no real issues in the past other than the fact that they have tried to add a few hundred dollars worth of unrequested, unnecessary dealer add-ons at the time of purchase. However, my wife went to Hendrick for an oil change and 60,000 mile service on our Outback in the past few weeks. I was unaware of this and asked to see the receipt and was shocked to see a charge of $2070. If you do a bit of investigation, that is outrageous. My father has an identical Outback and the exact oil change and 60,000 mile service performed at Hendrick in the summer of 2022 and the invoice was $1151. That's some insane inflation in 2 years! I just noticed another review describing a very similar recent experience and have been reevaluating our dealer and service center. Something has changed at Hendrick and it's very disappointing. read more

Joi Coke was a dream to work with. She will do everything she can to help you get a vehical.

I have been getting my Subaru serviced here for about 5 years now. I have never had any trouble, but have always felt like the service department was kind of slimy and trying to tack on extra cost or unnecessary maintenance. Well when it came to my 60k mile service on my Subaru forester, they quoted me over $2k for the service which I thought was absolutely insane, but I kept the quote so I could save up. Fast forward about 6 months and I am currently on a rotation in Wisconsin, so I go to the local dealership to see how much it would cost for the 60k mile service. They quoted me just under $1,000 all in. I could not believe how much more affordable it was, so of course I had them do the service. I spoke with the service manager in Wisconsin about the quote I received from Hendrick and showed him the print out of the quote and he could not believe his eyes. He said that they did everything that Hendrick quoted me for and he did not understand why they were charging such a high price. I will never be back!!! I suggest all of you do more research before trusting anyone in their service department read more

Zach was super helpful and knowledgeable! My car finally drives like it did when we first bought it, thanks guys!!

I visited this dealership over the weekend and was treated like family. I dealt with Richard and right up front informed him I am not ready to purchase a vehicle yet, but will be mid-2023 and was in the process of deciding which car is suitable. He and the dealership were extremely friendly and helpful, even letting me test drive a used vehicle. I will definitely be in touch when the purchase date is close. read more

Outstanding and timely support for a vehicle we recently purchased from the sales manager. Staff is very friendly and customer focused!

I went to look and test drive an outback 2014. I was wanting to buy but was told by the salesman Jaylon that it was not able to be purchased at the time because the car had not been serviced yet. I told him we were very serious about buying the car and that we wanted to know as soon as it was able to be purchased. I messaged the salesman Jaylon the next morning to ask about it and see what the status was and he messaged me back saying they sold it after I left. Even though we were told that it wouldn't be able to be purchased until it had been serviced. I do not recommend anyone to buy from these people. Bad business bad customer service. read more

Got the brake extended warranty notification a few months ago for our Ascent I called in October to set up appointment to have them replaced. The service employee said he had to check to see if they had the brakes for our car and would call back. Never heard from him, called end of October brought it in for service because we are going on a trip. They had to make sure the brakes were bad before replacing them. They did something to the back brakes so they would not get hot. The front brakes need replacing which they had to order from the warehouse They would call when they are in. In the meantime the front brakes are getting worse squealing and not grabbing very good. I call two weeks later when they told me they can only do so many brakes at a time before they can order more parts. Asked how long it will take, the service lady told me there is a waiting list of 48 people and we are at 35. It will take up to two months before they will ever get to us. We are going on a trip. So in the meantime I am not feeling safe driving my car with bad brakes. I do not have a death wish but apparently a Hendricks doesn't care what or how you feel. I have never heard a company that it so bad in fixing bad parts on their vehicles when there has been a class action lawsuit which they lost so they don't care if your in a wreck. They sell inferior vehicles now. It makes sense the commercial where the woman pulls up to a wreck that her child and husband are in but they have the wrong slogan they were able to walk away alive because Subaru is safe car. If they had good parts in the car they may never been in an accident with the car. I am now considering getting rid of the car because their safety moto went out the window with not getting these brakes replaced. very disappointed because they had done good service before not not so much. read more

My husband bought a new CrossTrak from the Montgomery dealership, due to the negative reputation of Hendricks Subaru. After driving the CrossTrak for about 6 months, he decided he wanted something a big larger. He is in the first stage of Dementia!! We do not allow him to go out alone, but he found a time to do so, and went to Hendricks, looking for an Outback! The salesmen descended on him like a vulture. They jacked up the asking price for the Outback, added BS options like gap insurance (!!), all manner of service and "Car Care Package", road hazard, paint protection...... everything they could dig out of their cold, dead, hearts. They ended up adding $7K+ of unnecessary non-sense, JUST BECAUSE THEY COULD. They knew when they had him confused, and ROPED HIM IN. A 78 year old man with obvious confusion!!!! How do these people sleep at night?? How do they justify targeting vulnerable people? I had to talk our son out of going to visit the dealership, WITH A BASEBALL BAT! My normally calm, compassionate, non-violent son was enraged over how his dad was scammed, lied to, tricked, and robbed!!! I would drive to Saskatchewan to purchase a car before I would ever purchase ANYTHING from this dishonest, devious bunch of losers!!!! ONE STAR IS AN OVERSTATEMENT. read more

Dishonest business practices. Tried to order a new car and was given a base price, but the out the door price included a lot of "dealer added items" such as nitrogen filled tires, extra body trim, window tint, and other stuff. I asked if I could simply order the vehicle as it comes from the factory without all the dealer's added extras and was told that at this time they are not allowing customers to opt out of their add-ons...meaning the base price they give you is inaccurate and meaningless. read more

I had a flat tire from the improper installation of the sensor at the valve stem and the clowns from Hendricks tried to charge me 258 bucks for the labor of removing 2 bolts. They also lied to me and said my tires were 5/32 tread. At the other place, i was given the exact amount of tread at each notch. The lowest was 5.8. Most were 6.7 and up. They tried to take a small situation and take advantage of me. I went to a different place with more integrity and it was handled quickly with zero hassle. read more

My wife and I bought a new 2020 Forrester Touring this weekend. We were very impressed with the Hendrick dealership and how they went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Max, the salesman took great pride in telling us about all the features on the car and answering all our questions. He was very knowledgeable about the car and answered all of our questions. There were some problems getting our car and 2 cars were sold on other lots even after Dewayne had requested them to be sent. Dewayne could not have been more accommodating. He kept us informed regularly and must have apologized a dozen times for the mishap. Finally he located one in Atlanta and had his driver go get it. I was extremely impressed with Dewayne and his total commitment to making sure we were happy. I have never dealt with a sales manager that was so nice. He made me feel like part of his family. Nate was super and handled all the finances and made sure he explained everything to us. He was extremely complimentary of the owner and made sure we knew he was an honest trustworthy man that put customer service first. I can't remember one person that didn't smile and make us feel welcome. All of them after they found out my wife and I were retired military thanked us for our service. I highly recommend this dealership to those looking for a new car. First rate. ***** George and Nora Harding read more

I had a 2012 Subaru Outback that was passed down from my mother. It was stable and very roadworthy but unfortunately someone prior to my mother installed an aftermarket remote start. Up until this time, the car had been serviced by Hendricks Subaru. It finally needed more help than I could provide. I finally settled on a new Subaru Forrester which Jasmine Brown helped me with. I drove off the lot with relative ease with the confidence in Hendricks Subaru knowing I was in good hands. I was promised that my old outback was going to move to a farm upstate where it could run and play with other Subaru's. It's peaceful to know that it will have a life of rugged off-roading and camping with another family who will love it just as much as my mother and I loved it. A passing of the torch, a passing of a trusted member that meant so much and I know will take care of the next generation as much as it took care of us. Thank you to all who had a hand in this evolution and to whomever finally gets that Outback, know that you have a battle tested, much loved thing, that is as much made of memories as it is of metal. Thank you for helping me make new memories as our lives evolve and move ever forward. read more
