We called Hemlock a week before we left our wedding overseas in a bind, we needed to get three bar signs (we had the fabric and dtf transfer sheet). I walked in and immediately Dan and his team were there to help us. He brought me back into the warehouse and tried several times to make sure it was perfect, spending about an hour of his time on his own wedding anniversary just to make sure we were happy with the outcome. It was turned out to be $75 for all three menus to be cut and printed which I thought was fanatic value, especially with how desperate we were for help. I cannot express enough my gratitude for Dan and everyone at Hemlock Ink for their help. Professional, genuine, kind and caring is how I can describe my experience with them. read more

I'm really not a review person, but I feel like I need to warn people about this company since my experience was a nightmare. They don't check orders for correct quantity and print quality, and have questionable customer service. Here's what happened: -I placed my order more than two weeks in advance, per their guidelines. -They began my job the day it was due (a Friday). I expressed my concern about the quality given the rush, and was promised that the shirts would be perfect. -They also close at 3:00 on Fridays, and rushed out rather than staying a little later to check my order. -There were issues with a quarter of my order. Some burnt on the press (they told me), some were smudged, some off-center, some skewed, some lacked a whole color, and some were missing. -When I brought up these concerns, they blamed it on my choice of metallic ink. There was no mention that metallic ink is troublesome, and the fact that 75% of my order was perfect indicated that they have the capability to print it. -Luckily there was time to print more before my event. In the second order, many were still messed up, and one was still missing. Not counting 92 shirts is one thing, but not counting 23 for an already-dissatisfied customer is unacceptable. This meant one person did not have a shirt to wear at our event, which she was really bummed about. -After people washed theirs for the first time, many reported that the ink had gotten significantly messed up in the wash. We want these to last (people still wear the 1987 version which still looks great). -Hemlock agreed to reprint the messed up ones, but made me feel like I was inconveniencing them by commenting on how long it takes to set up the press. They took a long time reprinting them. -I finally received the last one three months after I had placed the order, as well as the reprints. I chose Hemlock because I liked their vibe and the sample shirts looks great. Our shirts look beautiful, but I am not confident the ink will last. They did make the initial errors up to me financially, which is good, but the whole thing was a huge hassle. I have to use my own money to ship the reprints that people have been asking me for for weeks/months. The lack of quality control and their insistence that the print errors were uncontrollable left a bad taste in my mouth, and I will not be using them again. read more

Absolutely amazing. I had a surprise 30th bday party to throw - and we decided tshirts were a necessity. So I call up Hemlock Ink - Dan handles everything for my rush order without hesitation. I sent him a picture of my buddy and some wording we wanted used on the shirts and before you know it he has an incredible design drawn up - better than I could have imagined it. I absolutely recommed Hemlock Ink to anyone in need of custom tshirts - I couldn't be happier with the quality, price and the service I recieved from them!!! read more

Highly recommend Hemlock Ink. My husband and I run a local art based t-shirt company and this is the 3rd printer we have used in our hunt for the perfect printer. The pricing is competitve, t-shirt and print quality is great. They also offer a few different types of printing which is cool (traditional silk screen, water based discharge printing and now direct to garment printing). So far we have had both a water based discharge print and a DTG print done and both came out great!! Also the staff was very helpful and responded quickly to all e-mails. Will definitely use Hemlock in the future. read more

Just picked up 125 TShirts from these guys for my company. Alex was a big help in facilitating the order. My design was tricky, front and back with multiple layers and colors. Hemlock Ink took that design and turned out the highest quality Ts I have ever seen. Perfect printing on Hanes Beefy T Shirts. These shirts are made to last and will be an amazing advertisement for my business. The price was more than fair and the turnaround was fast! I would seriously recommend them to anyone needing clothing for a business, special event. Hemlock Ink FTW! read more

I am extremely happy with my Hemlock Ink experiences. I have ordered through this company several times & every time, the products are outstanding! My first experience was ordering t-shirts for my team for the warrior dash. It was about 30 t-shirts in varying men's & women's sizes. The quality of the t shirts were amazing, along with the print quality. I worked one on one with Dan to find the best lettering, color scheme & shirt fabric for the t-shirts. I have also used them several times just to make a t-shirt or two for a Halloween costume. I just emailed the link for the image I wanted printed over & had my product in just a few days. All in all, Hemlock Ink is an A+ company in my book. read more

Great guys to work with. Pricing was way better than the big online companies and other local shops and the shirts came out excellent. The staff was friendly and helped out with the design (unlike a couple other shops we called). Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for great quality tees at a great price. read more

Since writing my last review, I have used Hemlock Ink 2 more times only this time not for my business but for my daughter's elementary school spirit wear (thousands of dollars in orders). Hemlock Ink came through BIG TIME with both orders. Parents are always commenting to me about how much better quality the items are then what their expectations for spirit wear are. Thank you Hemlock!! read more

I've worked with this company back about 3-4 years ago and they were of great help even then! And now recently I decided to come back here again to develop more t-shirts and of course, a very pleasant experience. I definitely recommend going here as it's the most cost efficient, yet good quality place especially in the Greater Boston Area! Although there were some discrepancies about emails here and there, it was fixed! I ordered about 120 t-shirts and 20 hoodies and they came out perfectly! Very simple and straightforward to work with. read more

I had 2 major issues with Hemlock's work: 1) I own a small business in cambridge and was looking for some t-shirts for an event. In looking at their website it seemed that Hemlock had some stylistic sense and perhaps could help me design a cool looking t-shirt with my company logo. In going into the store and asking for this help, I did not feel the individual I worked with (who I believe owned the company) had this skill set. I received no help in picking out a shirt or designing the t-shirt. he actually made me sit down at his computer and place/size the elements for the shirt myself. I literally could have gone on any t-shirt design website and done this from the office (which I eventually did after receiving my Hemlock shirts) for a much cheaper price. 2) upon picking up my shirts 2 weeks later (I was in no rush so it was fine) the image on the back of the shirt was very weak or faded. It almost looked like their printer was running low on ink. when I brought this up, the individual in the office said that must be how the image file I provided them looked. I asked him to pull up the file and we both agreed that the image file was a much richer color than the t-shirts. The office individual could not explain why there was an difference and then actually said to me, quote "what do you want me to do about it?" in an aggravated tone. seriously, this individual should have immediately offered to re-run the shirts. he gave me a take-it-or-leave it attitude so I just left and ultimately threw the t-shirts away after finding a higher quality producer (who turned out to be cheaper by the way). sorry for the long message, but I believe companies like this should be called out. I will not be giving Hemlock any more business and I suggest you find an alternative company as well. I guarantee it will save you time, money and frustration. read more

The team here was super helpful with any questions I had and always got back quickly. They also had a great turn around time and the shirt turned out really nice. Really happy to find such a great shop like this in the area! read more

Dan and his guys were great to deal with. They printed shirts for the Sailing Southern Cruise that we went on and everyone loved them. We ended up having to run two more batches because they were so popular. They ran three different types of shirts as well; kids, unisex and ladies. Fast service and great quality! Will definetley use them again! read more

Neal made the entire ordering process a breeze from start to finish. We ordered a slew of hoodies for our roller derby team. We are really pleased with the finished product & will be ordering again soon! read more

I had a great experience working with Hemlock Ink. I needed to get three dress shirts embroidered last minute for a company event, and they were incredibly accommodating. They finished them a day early and waived the usual embroidery minimum of 12 shirts without hesitation. When I picked them up, one of the threads was unraveling, but Neal happily fixed it right on the spot. Will definitely use them again! read more

Just had some shirts done here and I have nothing but positive things to say! I got a small batch of 2-sided shirts done for a tight deadline with plenty of time to spare. Shirts came out terrible (cheap quality and and ink fades easily) and if I were myself I would just personalize on custom ink or any other printing company. They are just all for the hype even though they are not that great. Poor customer service. They only there for the money and don't care about anything else. SIMPLY DONT GO HERE. OVERPRICED. Never going to be doing business here. Lesson well learn. read more

Easy to work with and t-shirts came out great. The print came out well and t-shirts are a decent quality. This store may cost a little more than its competitors but the final product is worth the extra money. The store itself is a cool place and resembles a tattoo parlor. Estimated time for 24 shirts was 10 business days, but they cranked them out in 7 and didn't charge a rush fee. Very positive experience and would totally use them again. read more

I am a very happy customer with Hemlock Ink. I found them from a google search and both times I have needed custom orders on a whim. I had a great experience ordering tees from Neal and his staff at Hemlock, Ink. They were quick to respond to my phone and emails, very quick to get the job done and did a great job on them. Neal was very accommadating in changing the tee style and the # of tees ordered. He also worked with me on price points to get a tee we could afford. I have already recommended Hemlock to friends and family. Thanks! Lydia Capano read more

I recently made an order of about 150 T-shirts from Hemlock, for the staff/volunteers who worked my organization's major public event of the summer. It was truly a pleasure to work with Neal, who promptly followed up on my initial quote request, and made sure our order was taken care of despite only having two weeks to complete it. I was pretty indecisive about what I wanted, and he very graciously helped me sort out the final shirt design. The end result was a shirt that looked great, and that people enjoyed wearing. I highly recommend Hemlock Ink and will definitely use their services again in the future! read more

Had tee shirts digitally printed for a golf tournament. Hemlock Ink scored highly in all the key areas: price, quality of the work, attention to my individualized needs, speed of delivery, professionalism and courtesy. These guys impress me with how they not only delivered great shirts, done right, on my first order, they've continued to get it right year after year. At this point each thing I do that needs shirts -- my company's annual retreat, a convention giveaway, Kickstarter rewards, you name it -- I go back to them and they deliver as promised. They even did tote bags to match the shirts on my last project. Nice guys and I love supporting the local economy, too, because it turns out they're in Somerville! read more

Great company to work with! Hemlock Ink screen printed over 100 shirts with our company logo, and they turned out just as we'd hoped. I feel bad giving a poor review to a local small business, but Hemlock Ink did not do a good job. I ordered 6 t-shirts. When I picked them up, the package only had 5 shirts in it. I would not have known that one was missing except that I decided to check the printing. While I was commenting that the ink was blotchy on one of the shirts, I realized that there was a much bigger problem -- one shirt was missing. The guy who was helping me went in the back and found the mangled shirt in the garbage. I can't believe that they would have just handed me the package with the wrong number of shirts and not mentioned it. Once he realized the problem, he offered to print an additional shirt, but didn't have the color or style of T-shirt I had ordered. So, I did get the 6th shirt in the end and they get 3 stars for attempting to fix the problem. And, to his credit, he offered to refund the whole order. I said that wasn't necessary, but would like to get a refund for the 1 shirt. That never happened. read more

I would recommend Hemlock Ink - wait, no, Highly Highly recommend Hemlock Ink. I have worked with many other vendors on my quest to find the perfect printer/embroiderer. I would say these guys are the best. Of course, the first job I gave them was a little crazy (mad scientist lab coats for the PAX East convention)- but it was done perfectly on time and on budget! I have never had a quicker response for a quote and any and all follow up questions. Second of all, I have worked with many vendors over the years from a single piece job to an order for hundreds. These guys were by far the friendliest and best quality. You won't be disappointed! read more

i must say that i have had many tee shirts made in the past. i help host a festival in the catskills new york. it is in a field donated by a woman, who charges us $0. just so that we can help support the locals with our business. well ,she passed away over the winter. dan at hemlock ink had done our designs in the past, but this year we wanted something special to honor our departed host. i gave him the idea, & he went with it. it is by far the best piece of art work that is worthy of framing, i may take the design, & frame it for the family. IF YOU NEED TEE SHIRTS, THERE IS NO PLACE BETTER.& their prices are amazing.i have no stake in this company, & nothing to gain from posting this. any questions feel free to contact me .toyotamark@hotmailcom. i would be only to happy to tell of my great experience! read more
