A really nice aspect is that the structure of classes is pretty flexible. The instructor had a topic/agenda for each session yet allowed the parents a lot of leeway for discussions, questions, and sharing of stories/experiences. Being a first-time parent is really hard and I think everyone appreciated having an outlet to share struggles and victories. All in all, we found it to be very worthwhile, as we learned a lot and made a bunch of new friends. Not to mention, the class also provided all the babies with a great environment to interact with other kiddos on a regular basis prior to starting daycare.

The group brought together other first time parents and babies born within a few months if not days of each other to meet weekly and ask questions and sings songs and learn about the process of parenting. I looked at it kind of like drivers ed classes for first time parents suddenly realizing they are in charge of guiding the raising of another human being. Awesome and intimidating all at once. Good luck to all us new parents, and thanks Bto3 for being there for us.

My daughter had recently been diagnosed with ADHD and her therapist had mentioned yoga might help. The classes ended up being much more than just yoga. Leticia integrated mindfulness techniques with yoga and play, creating both a fun and calming atmosphere. My daughter eventually transitioned from not only classes and workshops but individuals sessions, as well. Through practice and the continued perseverance of both her and her teacher, she has grown so much and is able to self-manage and focus much better, all without the use of medication. I cannot recommend Leticia and Embody Play enough!

From the first class I observed, I knew that EPY had something more to offer than a traditional kid's yoga class. During the class, the families weren't just sitting still and learning meditation techniques. They were running around, dancing, making silly sounds; a huge smile spread across everyone's faces. The feeling of bliss and excitement in the room was palpable. My internship taught me that we all learn best when we are able to express ourselves, play and when we feel connected to those around us. EPY has a way of making every person regardless of age, gender, shape, ability or identify feel supported in exploring yoga, art, movement and mindfulness techniques. I loved my experience so much that I decided to take on a yoga teacher role with EPY after finishing my internship. It has been a joy and an honor to work for this company and I would highly recommend the classes to families and children of all ages!

We met with Tiffany and she was even able to win over my skeptical husband with her knowledge and professionalism. The fact that she ran an evidence based birth class was an added benefit that helped influence our decision to choose Tiffany as our doula. The class was fantastic! Not only was it informative and go more in-depth then most, but she also taught us how to find sound sources for information regarding various topics, procedures, and other concerns, so that we could make the best decisions for us and our situation. In short, the class was extremely empowering, particularly for first time parents. Now, when it came to her as a doula, she was a life saver! We had just moved to the area and had not met many people yet. Getting to know Tiffany and talking with her about the pregnancy, hopes, and fears helped make us considerably more comfortable with everything. And then Covid-19 hit in earnest and the lock down went into place. Pregnancy and birth are already full of unknowns and anxiety as is, with that, it skyrocketed. Tiffany, however, kept on top of everything, even with hospital and doctor's policies changing on a daily basis. With each and every change she would reach out to us to find a way to work with and around it. She even went above and beyond trying to work directly with the hospitals themselves to insure her ability to be present during the birth.  In the end, she did get to be there for my birth. I ended up suddenly and unexpectedly giving birth at home (we had planned a hospital birth). Somehow she managed to arrive just as the paramedics did. I won't lie, I was terrified. Seeing her face in the middle of all that chaos did wonders for me, helping me relax and focus on what needed to be done. She jumped right in and worked with the paramedics as if they had all been a birth team for years. Everything ended up going even more smoothly then could be expected under the circumstances, and I'm convinced it was because of her presence. I am now firmly of the belief that if you are pregnant, you should have a doula, whether it's your first or fifth. Somehow she becomes that trusted friend, a surrogate mother, and experienced professional who's solidly in your corner. We are so thankful that Tiffany was in ours.

We got there fairly early and there were already a number of people there with more arriving every few minutes. We signed in and chose the color scheme we wanted, then Ciara and Alejandro would prep the molten glass ingots on the tubes for blowing. We were given very good instructions and shown the proper methods to use while we were assisted with the project. Taking a glob of molten glass, applying colors, blowing, shaping, reheating... this is such a creative outlet, not to mention really cool to have a beautiful glass ornament that you created. After the float is made, Ciara will cut it from the blow tube and make a small molten glass stand for it. The float is positioned on the base and adheres as one piece. It is then moved over to a slow cooling kiln where it will slowly cool down overnight. Tomorrow I get to go pick up the finished creation and bring it home.
