I've recently 'graduated' from therapy thanks to an outstanding LPC (licensed practitioner) named…read moreZana Ziegler.
I am a science-based dating coach and author. My work is directive in a way that therapy isn't--it's advice with support and guidance to help people find and keep the love of their lives. Therapy is more about the process of transformation and healing, and it's vital. In fact, I advise all of my clients to get therapy if they can: when people feel better about who they are, and they heal from the hurts that life inevitably brings, it's easier to succeed at just about everything--including thriving in love.
The specific therapist matters--a lot. People sometimes hire me to help them find the right therapist. I've met so many at this point. I've met practitioners with licenses who cause more harm than good, good therapists who help their clients get to another/better level of functioning and feeling, and then Zana, who is the best therapist I've been honored to refer others to, and to be guided by. She is everything an outstanding therapist needs to be: compassionate, available, wise, reflective, well-versed in many methods, and able to help clients to heal and thrive. She's particularly gifted in helping clients work through the issues that brought me to her: grief and loss (and who doesn't have experience grief and loss?).
In early 2021, I had three severe losses, on top of the pandemic we all experienced; at the same time, I had met the love of my own life, but I feared my grief would overwhelm my ability to build the foundation needed to create a lasting relationship. I found Zana on Psychology Today, and when she called me back, I had a sense that she was the best of the best. This turned out to be true. Today, not only am I well, I am thriving in love--married to the one for me--and enjoying every good thing in my self and my life. I feel whole even though the losses that threatened to drown me are forever. I cope: most problems cannot ever be undone, but there are ways to live with them, heal, and be happy anyway. Zana was my guide there.
I am grateful for Zana.
I have a feeling that if you reach out to her, you will be, too.
