Mom always gets the patty melt and dad gets the holy cow. I got the black and blue and my husband got the custom burger. Everything was cooked correctly and we all devoured it. I also made sure that w did the deep fried mushrooms. Yum yum. Thy even had my husband's favorite beer, Irish Death, which not many places have. You can get beer, wine and pre mixed drinks along with Pepsi products, coffee, tea, hot cocoa, milk tea, root beer and pink lemonade. They are not lacking in variety on both the food and drink categories. Would love to come back.

The Patty Melt was excellent on a very good marble rye. Also their French fries we very good and crispy. Service was excellent from immediately taken our drink orders when we were seated to checking on us several times during our dinner. Their selection of beer on tap was very good with about a dozen options. A nice bar and great dining area. We will be back.

You can here people chatting with the waitress like they knew her all her life. Regular use and with plenty of local people eating there. We enjoyed our salads and hamburgers. The food took a little bit but we could see back into the kitchen where she was working hard to get it all together. I ordered an ice cream shake. I thought that it would be bigger than what came out but it was still good. The meat for the hamburger had a lot of flavor and we really enjoyed them. This is currently one of the few places to sit and have a meal. You can see the age in the building in the restaurant and the bar. There is a place opening almost across the street and you hate to see them compete but they might pull business away from this little place. They do need a touch of love on the inside of the restaurant, but as far as I am concerned if the food is still good, the salad bar still up and going and the ice cream shakes cold and creamy it will continue to be the local go to. I have never been made to feel more unwelcome or uncomfortable by the patrons or staff of any establishment anywhere else I've been. They will yell at you if you squeeze your beer can before returning it to the bar. I have no idea why. But they'll get so angry they have to leave the room. And the food is awful. I got sloppy joe meat on my tacos. And they clearly don't clean their fryer oil, ever. I don't know where the "Wild" in the name comes from, because a wild time is had by none at this miserable hole, ever. Avoid at all costs.

A funny side story, the waiter was actually the same waiter we had at a restaurant down in Joseph Oregon the night before. And the service was very good. Considering that once we got to the top, it was raining and blowing so we were able to sit inside and enjoy ourselves. If you go take the tram up, do your hiking and then have a nice bite to eat at this place.

Decided last minute to see if they had an opening for Friday night as well. They did not which was understandable since it was a weekend and a last minute request. I was told we could check in Saturday at 1. Got there at one and the gal who was supposed to clean showed up to work late and didn't start cleaning our room until then. The guy who checked us in didn't really know what was going on or why we were waiting for ever Which again... was fine we just went fishing and waited. Got back, got the keys, was told there is a leather fly swatter in the room please don't take it. NEVER saw the fly swatter didn't think anything of it. Went to pee, there was poop stains and dirty toilet paper in the toilet. Didn't say anything cause we were only using the room to sleep in as our friends were up the road at woodhead. They have very nice and clean restrooms. Stayed the night and left early cause someone was sick. Weeks later we see there is an extra charge for $60 bucks. So we called to see why. One lady then told us the extra charge was for taking the fly swatter. Then they said a towel was missing. THEN they said for a cancelation fee because we were scheduled 2 nights. They keep their reservations in a calendar on the desk and we clearly saw our name down for one night and the man checking us in only discussed the one night so that is what we payed for when we were there. Why would we have not paid for the second night when we paid when we got there? They don't really seem to know why they charged us extra stayed completely silent for a minute then said... yeah there's nothing we can do. So called the bank to dispute it and they needed further clarification on what the charges were for. Called them back cause we were still confused on WHY we were being charged extra. The lady who answered was super irritated that I was asking and why I wanted to know why they charged me an extra 60 dollars 2 weeks after we were there. She said for damage and cancelation fee then hung up on us. I'm super disappointed and saddened that somewhere I love going and somewhere I've always made a point to buy from in support of a small town store, would react or treat us this way. Also spent over 100 bucks in hats and fishing gear this trip in this store. Never once was I rude on the phone, still don't know where their fly swatter or towel are. Still don't know what damage was done and the disrespectful attitude we got for simply wanting a clear answer is super frustrating and hurtful. Will never stay here again and will never refer my friends to stay.
