Food and Service at this small spot was amiable. Food was prepared on time, served with the most friendly people in the town.

Stopped here on way back to Pittsburgh - amazing Vietnamese food! The banh mi breat was crisp, the vegetables crunchy and fresh, and the pork was nicely marinated. Plenty spicy (though you don't have to get it spicy). The red tea tasted like a Thai tea and wasn't overly sweet. Great little spot, please check out if you're in the area and like Vietnamese food.

Came to WV so my daughter can visit Salem University because the coach there invited her to come play for their softball team and was hungry and this place was near my hotel so I said why not let's try. Came for spring rolls and viet coffee but ended up eating their pho because it smells so good outside. I'm from Cali and nowhere beats our viet food so when eating the pho, it surprised me that it was actually good. Service was great! So if you haven't tried Viet food in WV, go try this place!!

All things considered, the food is decent, but expensive. 2 orders of spring rolls and chicken Pho with a tip was $35. Easily $10 more expensive then we are used to. However, the service was quick and friendly. The ambiance, was needs a little work to be more inviting. It wasn't the best pho I've had and I'm sure the makers eat better fresher ingredients. Nevertheless, it's the only one in the area and will do.

Yes, yes and yes. If you're reading this review, please just start heading to Hello Vietnam. You won't be disappointed. I had the beef stew(two options; rice noodles or baguette), #1 bahn mi and the drip coffee. I've eaten at a lot of Vietnamese places throughout the country and I gotta say, this is place rates one at the top overall on service/food quality. The beef stew(spicy) was hardy, flavorful with tender beef and was beautifully plated. The bahn mi(xtra paté) was delish with his homemade pork belly with all the fixings. The drip coffee was not jittery strong but perfectly smooth and ease to drink on a hot summer day. Charlie and his angels knows their food. I was told the majority of his ingredients comes locally! If you're thinking about adventuring out and eating something from the SE Asian cuisine, this place is it. I wish James and his family much success in this area.

In a town where the popular restaurants all seem to be Italian, I was so happy to discover this new Vietnamese restaurant! It's one of a kind, so it was worth a few visits during my short stay in Bridgeport. My favorite dish was the vermicelli rice noodle bowl with grilled pork (so flavorful!) with shrimp, veggies, and pickles. On another occasion, I had their pho noodle soup with flank steak. All the ingredients were fresh, so I always felt like I was eating healthy. Also, the couple who run the place were super friendly. Will need to come back the next time I'm in town!

The food was delicious! I took my mom and aunt who had never tried Vietnamese food before. We had Pho, spring rolls and vermicelli noodle bowl with tofu. All of which were flavorful and the service was really fast! We will definitely be back!

NEW!!! Beef Brisket Banh Mi - OMG you need to try it! Uh-maze-ing! #notsharing

Every meal is always excellent and perfectly prepared. Wonderful people. The pho is great, but the banh mi...no words. So good!!

Not authentic at all. The sandwich bread was undercooked. Pho was tasteless. Ugh, why can't people just cook good food?

I'm Thai and grew up eating very spicy food, including authentic som tam from Thai restaurants, so…read moreI'm very familiar with how Thai spice levels normally feel. This is actually the first time I've had such a strong physical reaction. Most traditional Thai restaurants use fresh Thai chilies when making papaya salad, not large amounts of ground chili powder, because chili powder creates a much harsher, burning heat on the stomach rather than the normal fresh chili heat. I ordered spice level 4 expecting something moderate, but it felt closer to what would be level 9-10 at many Thai restaurants. There was no warning that the spice level was based on chili powder rather than fresh chilies. After eating, I experienced severe stomach burning, dizziness, and almost fainted, which has never happened to me from Thai food before. Information for the chef (from someone Thai, hoping this helps): Fresh chilies and chili powder create different types of heat. Chili powder is made from dried chilies, which concentrates capsaicin (the compound that causes burning). It also often contains more crushed seeds and inner membranes, which hold the highest capsaicin levels. Because it is finely ground, it spreads more evenly and can coat the mouth and stomach, causing a deeper and harsher burning sensation compared to the sharper but cleaner heat from fresh chilies typically used in traditional som tam. I would strongly recommend that the restaurant clarify how their spice levels work and what type of chili they use so customers can make informed choices. Thai food can be spicy, but it shouldn't come as a surprise in a way that causes physical distress. As someone from Thailand, this was not the typical type of spice we associate with authentic som tam. My mom also own Papaya Salad restaurant in Thailand. I know how to make my own dish. This is not authentic and not a good Thai food. 4 5555

The biggest issue was the odd texture of the wrap, which was a bit mushy, and did not hold together after one bite. Although we order just a few rolls, it was brought out in an amazing presentation. The spider roll was OK but missing a normal large claw that sick out on two of the roll bites. The Pink Lady Roll was beautiful and had a great flavor. We ordered tea which was served in a very heavy metal pot. The pot kept the tea very hot throughout the entire meal. The best part of the meal was the Peaking Duck. This dish was unlike any Peaking Duck I have had previously. First, the duck is chopped up into very small pieces. Also, instead of normal Duck wraps, the dish was served with Bao Buns, which added a whole over demission and profile to the dish. If I would change anything, I would have taken the skin of the duck before cutting it up that small. You do kind of miss the crunch provided by a normal peaking duck dish. Still, I would call this the best Peaking duck dish we ever had.
