Family of 4 - each had a different thing and everything was absolutely amazing. caldo de res - slow cooked to perfection, fried rice with steak, fried pork sandwich, and stir fried steak. The garlic black bean sauce was very bland, the vegetables were fresh and well cooked but the chicken was dry and hard. The people I was with seemed to really enjoy the rotisserie chicken, choice, and lomo saltado, so perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing (though I just don't know how you can do rotisserie chicken without a ton of volume. I highly recommend! Nice quiet restaurant with a unique menu with affordable healthy options. Jerry the owner shared a little about his journey from West Virginia to Peru and back with his Peruvian wife. I enjoyed the Aji de Gallina. It was just spicy enough. I came here with my boyfriend based on reviews, while visiting from out of town. The place was pretty small and nothing fancy. But the FOOD!!! It was fantastic! I had chicken fried rice, and he got the roasted chicken breast with fries and rice. Everything was soooo good and fresh! We were the only ones there, and it took her a while to cook, so we knew it was fresh. I also tried the chici morada drink and, although it sounds odd, it was great! Healthy and not too sweet. I attempted to try this restaurant about a week ago. I got there very shortly after opening time, maybe like 11:05. Maybe I was too early? All I know is that when I walked in, there was a woman standing behind the counter. She immediately went back into the kitchen, said "customer" and then she and someone back there started arguing in a language I didn't recognize. I waited ten minutes studying the menu while the bickering continued. Nobody ever welcomed me, nobody ever came out to take my order, and the loud conversation in not-English never stopped. I finally just left after 10 minutes. I can't make a judgment on the food because I didn't get to taste any. I hope I was just unlucky and caught the restaurant staff at a bad time. But I don't think I'll be going back, ever - there are a lot of wonderful restaurants in Clarksburg/Bridgeport that actually want my business. read more

A taste of Peru in the heart of the Mountain State! I just found this gem while looking for something different. My daughter and I both ordered the Chicharron (Peruvian Pork) sandwich and it was delicious. The sandwich is basically slow-cooked pork with sweet potato slices and topped with Criolla (red onion, habanero, and cilantro in lime juice), on Ciabatta bread. Yummy! My wife ordered Aji de Gallina (chicken in cream sauce). We were all very happy with our choices and it was prepared fresh. We will definitely be coming back! read more

We love Peruvian food, and were so happy to find this place on Yelp! It's super clean, super cute, and the food is wonderful. They have great lomo saltado and chicharron, but don't forget to try their chaufa, which is Peruvian fried rice, and is delicious! They seem to be doing a really good job with COVID precautions, and we were totally comfortable eating indoors, but they do have outdoor tables available. Fresh, tastes-homemade, healthy, delicious food run by a lovely couple in a bright, clean, cheerful restaurant. We had the yucca fries, lomo saltado, Peruvian beans, and the fried rice. Daughter had a cup of chicken soup which tasted like it could have cured all diseases. We were too full to try the smoothies but next time we are traveling through we'll be sure to stop in again. Very good customer service, the manager was spectacular and very accommodating. The food arrived quite fast, but I do have to say the dish I had was under-seasoned and didn't have very much taste. It was a chicken and rice dish with a creamy yellow sauce on the top that I cannot bring myself to recollect the name of at this time. That being said I haven't tried everything yet and I'm sure the rest of the food is delicious. We don't go out to eat often but when we do we go to Miskycha. The owner is very sweet and puts all her love into her dishes. I always get the llomo saltado which is the most famous Peruvian dish. It has steak tips, soy sauce, tomatoes, onions, and more cooked on a high flame. If you want to try something new I'd encourage you to try it. My wife and son get the rotisserie chicken.
