    I am thrilled to have found this place. I am always welcomed upon entering. There is multiple seating. I enjoy seeing all the beautiful orchids and customer service is good. My fix is the watermelon smoothie! It taste so refreshingly fresh. I buy two at a time. One for the moment and one for the next day. I pop it out of the freezer to thaw to my liking and this it is downed. The texture remains smooth. Man, it is the best! I highly recommend giving this place a try. Several options to choose from- Teas, Coffees, Smoothies... YumYum (*^*)/__ }:{

    I brought my kids here to kill some time before we had to catch the Friday sermon at my local mosque. The lady behind the counter was kind and patient as my kids were going through the clear to follow menu that had plenty of options. The wait wasn't that long to receive our order and right after we received it we left, but I'm sure my kids would not mind to sit because the sitting area was nice and clean with plenty of games

    There's reasonable seating and prices for the drinks. My coffee was $5. My major quip is that my drink was not filled to the top

    Does this look like Jasmine milk tea to you? It's dark!

    Sorry. I expected something decent, but I ordered the basic which was Jasmine milk tea. I got something not tasting like jasmine milk tea at all. It tastes like sugar with sugar. I even asked for 25% sweet, but I think the sugar wasn't even adjusted. The boba wasn't even good. Just pure disappointment. I don't even have the words to describe it.

    I've never been to this location before today, so this isn't going to be a biased review. First let me say, I love coffee and I love boba. So the iced French vanilla coffee with boba was the obvious choice. It was DELICIOUS. I work 3 mins from this location and my coffee is 2/3rds of the way gone. Clean location, menu was large, they didn't skimp on boba, and the drink was on point. I will be back. The only complaint I have is the smell when I entered. It smelled like very strong incense. It made me nauseated, so I was ready to go. It is a shame because they have board games, so it would have been an awesome place to meet with a friend.

    Stopped by Hello Tealicious on our way back from Space Center. I always order my standard thai milk tea at most boba places and did the same here. Asked them to cut down to half sugar. They handed over some delicious thai milk tea it was so flavorful and tasted fresh. Cute little boba tea place. Highly recommend if in the area.

Nice owner and good employees and good prices. The Boba drinks are pretty good and the Vietnamese Iced Coffee is excellent. If the whole place was decorated in a certain shade of blue, rather than off-white and yellow, it'd be Hello Teal-icious. What a difference a hyphen can make. More like a hi-and-byephen. Certainly nothing comes close to the spectacular Cha Boba just down the road, and there's a nearby KFT now with great Lemon Black Tea, but if you want to try some of the other best in the region then this place is right up there and I highly recommend it. I was in the NASA area on Clear Lake and a smoothie sounded really good. Looked on Yelp and these guys were closest. I was the only customer in the place. It looked nice and clean. They have a big drink menu with loads of add-ins available. I went with a taro smoothie with boba. It looked great but as I drank it I noticed it was very thin. On my second sip, I got what I thought was a tapioca ball but it was a ball or powder that hadn't been mixed. That was no fun at all. I would have gone back to get a replacement but I was halfway home by the time I realized. Two sips and to the trash...

    The smoothies are the best! Especially if you're an avid durian lover like me, you'll love the durian smoothie here. The flavor is delicious, not overly sweet. My husband got the pina colada smoothie, and that was amazing as well. The milk teas are just as good. Highly recommend!

    Coconut and watermelon smoothie with strawberry pudding. It's so good.
    Tracie B.

    Five star smoothies! This review is just about the amazing smoothies. I'm really not a fan of tea at all, so I haven't, and won't try the tea here, or anywhere really. My favorite combination here is the watermelon coconut smoothie. It is so refreshing and so so tasty! They make them right in front of you so you can see they're using fresh watermelon and coconut to make it. I've tried a couple different add ins too, my favorite being the strawberry pudding. It's so pink and yummy! The girl who made it even commented on the awesome color. I've gotten taro pudding in it too and that was pretty good. The first time I came here I asked if they had bottles of water but they didn't. The guy made me a cup of water and sealed it for me! It was nice of him to do that cause it's HOT out right now! That to me is just great customer service. I really like that they have a punch card too, I've already gotten my free smoothie!

    Ah, Java Owl -- a welcome little refuge in the strip-mall sprawl and chain-coffee sameness of Clear…read moreLake. The kind of place you stumble into expecting caffeine and leave with a small, irrational faith in humanity restored. People like to say Montrose is where Houston keeps its cool, its weird, its pulse. Maybe. But Java Owl makes a strong case that Clear Lake has been hiding a little strange magic of its own. It is bright, clean, odd in the best possible way, and alive with the feeling that something interesting might happen before you finish your cup. Now, the important part: the coffee. I judge a place by the black cup. No sugar, no milk, no whipped cream masquerading as personality. Just coffee, exposed and unprotected. Java Owl passes that test. The roast has character. It tastes like someone cared. It does not taste like the sad, scorched sludge you get from places that treat coffee beans like evidence to be burned. And if you want something more elaborate, they have that too. The specialty drinks rotate, mutate, and show up with a kind of reckless creativity that works more often than it has any right to. Every visit seems to bring some new concoction, some fresh little act of caffeinated imagination. Late nights at the Owl are their own species of entertainment. Beer, wine, conversation, and the grand old human circus of people watching. Someone might break into "Sweet Caroline." Someone else might decide the room needs a guitar solo. You do not so much sit there as get folded into the scene. It is noisy, warm, occasionally ridiculous, and never dull. Somehow, the place manages to be both energetic and peaceful, which should be impossible and yet is not. Good coffee, good people, a little music, a little chaos, and staff who seem genuinely happy to be there. The positivity is not the forced kind. It is not laminated corporate cheer. It is real enough that you can walk in tired and walk out a little lighter. So yes, go. Go to see and be seen, sure. But more than that, go because places like this matter. Java Owl is coffee, community, weirdness, and warmth in a town that could use more of all four.

I explained that we simply wanted hibiscus mango tea with lychee jelly and boba, and I was explicitly told there would be no added sugar in the drinks. When I tasted mine, it was unbearably sweet--honestly, it tasted like Kool-Aid. I brought it back to the counter because this was clearly not what I had asked for. Only then was I told that the mango syrup they use is already sweetened. Had that been explained when I ordered--especially after I specifically asked about the sugar--I absolutely would not have ordered it that way. I wasn't asking them to remake the drinks because I changed my mind or didn't like the flavor. I ordered based on incorrect information their employee gave me. Yet when I asked if they could remake the drinks without the sweetened mango syrup, I was told I would have to pay an additional 50% for each drink. That is incredibly poor customer service. Mistakes and misunderstandings happen, but when a customer specifically asks about an ingredient, is given incorrect information, and purchases multiple drinks based on that information, the appropriate response is to simply correct the order--not charge the customer again for the business's mistake. We would have been perfectly happy with plain hibiscus tea, lychee jelly, and boba. I wasn't looking for anything for free; I simply wanted the drinks I thought I was purchasing based on what I was told. Unfortunately, their unwillingness to rectify such a simple issue left a very bad impression and is not a way I would choose to do business.

I just got done with a lunch date nearby and needed a little pick me up to finish my errands. I'm assuming all their locations are similar in that this place is a drive thru or walk up concept. I almost drove past because the drive thru line spilled out into the road but then I saw they had two lanes moving at a pretty rapid pace. Just from what I saw, it seemed like the whole staff was young, high school kids, but they were working hard. They had multiple people walking the lines with an iPad taking orders and keeping traffic flowing. I explained it was my first time so the young lady gave a quick run down of some of their popular items and asked what flavor profiles I like. The line moved quick and I liked that they took the time to wipe down each drink before handing it over so there was no mess. Great customer service. I ended up ordering the Cookie Butter iced coffee. The flavors of this coffee included toasted marshmallow, hazelnut and white chocolate breve. I like a breve because you get a creamier drink. The flavors worked well together and I really enjoyed my drink. I typically like a more coffee forward drink, but every once in awhile I like a dessert like drink. This was that. 7 Brew is one of many like chains in the area so competition is high out here. In my opinion, this place has a slight edge over the other places in that they have a great variety of drinks and great customer service. I will most definitely be back.
