The staff was very friendly and pointed me in the right direction for recs, and I ended up selecting a hot guava latte with almond milk and a couple of alfajores. The latte wasn't too sweet yet still had a pleasant guava aftertaste, and the alfajores were the perfect treat to go alongside my coffee. I'll definitely be back!

I judge a place by the black cup. No sugar, no milk, no whipped cream masquerading as personality. Just coffee, exposed and unprotected. Java Owl passes that test. The roast has character. It tastes like someone cared. It does not taste like the sad, scorched sludge you get from places that treat coffee beans like evidence to be burned. And if you want something more elaborate, they have that too. The specialty drinks rotate, mutate, and show up with a kind of reckless creativity that works more often than it has any right to. Although I will say we got two cookie butter lattes one with oatmilk one with regular milk and in the oatmilk one the cookie flavor was much more prominent so I would recommend getting oatmilk in it, if you decide to try it. The lemonade pie was really though, I always enjoy the baked goods they have. We went through the drive thru, and were the only ones in line at the time so we were greeted and serviced fairly quickly.

The store is easy to miss, since it's tucked behind a workout studio. Small shop but decor is cute. For Webster, the matcha was pretty decent, however I think the quality has gone down a bit. Didn't taste much matcha in the banana creme drink (mostly just syrup/milk). Other matchas ordered in the past: - strawberry (option to add puree but the foam is good enough imo) - biscoff (unique at the time I tried it) Fave coffee would be cold brew (oreo or biscoff). Not too crazy about the lattes. Small gripe: saw a cookie on display that was decently sized, however the one that was packed in my box was 2/3 the size of what I was expecting LOL.
