Yes please!!…read more Scratch-made and unique flavor profiles?! No wonder they've won so many awards. We stopped in after dinner craving something sweet. Small batch ice cream popped up and after reading from fellow yelpers that Green Chile is the flavor to go with, we had to stop by. The green chili and the red chili with brown sugar were both unique and delicious. The red chili did give a big kick at the end. After sampling maple walnut, I was sold. I didn't even want to try anything else. Inside is very clean and the employee who working was very nice. He let me sample as many flavors as I liked and was very kind. Make sure you try before you drive through and regret it!

Before I'd even recovered from the thought "these Green Chile maniacs did it again and better than ever but oh I guess to be a dessert they tamed and removed any spiciness yeah that'd be weirds" BLAMMO- that sly bit of heat going down- a heat that winks at you and says, "you thought they'd ever leave me out?" What just happened? What does it say about me that I ever doubted this flavor combination? How is a presumably at least slightly charred pepper so seamlessly integrated into such silky ice cream? Hold up- there's a red chile pecan too!? And I could go on about the red Chile's personality- the gentleness of the pepper's heat, the reliability and support of the pecan chunks but having both chile ice creams Christmas-style in a single spoonful is a harmony of seemingly disparate ingredients working together to be so much more. The taste reminded of what America can be when community prevails. To put it simply, tasting that ice cream has changed how I and some of my loved ones understand the universe. One week from writing this the musical phenom Bad Buddy promises to bring the world together to dance with his NFL half time extravaganza. Maybe the world will then meet up at La Lecheria to eat this ice cream.

The food was delicious, but I decided on Coyote Cafe because of the dessert menu, and the burnt honey cake absolutely lived up to and surpassed my expectations! You can really taste banana leaf, the shaved halva adds a lovely sweetness, and it just melted in my mouth. The service was impeccable. They called me by name the entire time and even though I look quite young for my age, they treated me with respect. Their timing throughout the meal was perfect too, very attentive, but not stiflingly so. I exceedingly enjoyed my meal here, and I'll definitely be back to enjoy all the other dishes I want to try here.

I had the Kentucky Slide. It was their version of a bourbon sour with egg white. My wife had their signature Nortena Hatch Chili Margarita. Our starter/app consisted of their home made corn bread with a trio of avocado butter, chili-mango butter, and honey butter. The corn bread was okay, but the trio of butter made it better. We had their version of the Cesar salad with white anchovy wrapped in a sushi soy paper. This was very good. We ordered a bottle of the 2022 Kistler Pinot Noir to pair with our entrees. My wife ordered the coffee rubbed flat iron steak entree with the green chili Mac and cheese side. The hangar steak was okay, but didn't care for the coffee rubbed. Would not order that again. The green chili mac and cheese was great. I ordered the Tellucherry peppered elk tenderloin with a sweet potato mash. This was fantastic and is their longtime signature entree. Medium rare to just under medium rare is the perfect temperature for this type of protein. Anything more would be a sin. Dinner ended with my wife ordering an espresso martini. It was not good. They did not use a fresh shot of expresso in their ingredients which is a shame. It tasted like chemicals. I would have liked to have shown or told the mixologist how to make a nice smooth crowd pleasing expresso martini using a Keurig pod of expresso off to the side, but I'm sure that would not have gone over well. LOL! Overall we had a nice dinner experience and would return again when in Santa Fe.

The inside is dirty and uninviting but I was needing a place right away so I committed. The carrot cake looked really good so I asked the girl for a piece. She was very odd. She started at me as if she couldn't believe someone asked for the carrot cake. She said something I couldn't understand. My friend jumped in to help but she just looked at him too. So odd. Eventually she handed me a styrofoam container with carrot cake in it. I also ordered a small Americano. The Americano was good and the carrot cake was good, but it was a small piece and not worth $13! I asked for the Wi-Fi password, but the other girl working in the counter also kind of stared at me and shrugged her shoulders. I asked again she said "I don't know it" I tried to ask the other girl and she said"we don't know it because no one's ever asked for it before". I said, "but you're a coffee shop and the Wi-Fi is there for guests. We just need the password." And she shrugged her shoulders and walked away. I had to do my Zoom call on my phone walking down the sidewalk because I wasn't staying there.

The latte didn't do anything for me...it was overly sweet without really tasting of honey or lavender, and was too thick or something. The doughnut, however, was a different story. The blue cornmeal gave it a really nice texture--a bit crunchy, and the icing had actual lavender, not just flavoring. Best $2 I've spent today! They also have Hagen Daaz, for those who are into eating ice cream when it's 33° outside.

She had the Cadillac Margarita and I ordered the Hibiscus Margarita. Both were very good. We ordered the yellowtail ceviche with the blue corn tortilla chips. The presentation and portion was impressive. This was put together very well and the freshness of all the combined ingredients were spot on. What a great start. We ordered our entrees and inquired about the wine by the glass selections. Unfortunately, this is where things started to go South. Our nice young server (first night serving) didn't know anything about the wines. They had wines from various regions that we were unfamiliar with the names and profiles. My wife chose a Malbec from Argentina which we are somewhat familiar with and I rolled the dice and selected a Sauvignon Blanc from Baja California. We asked for a sample taste of each and our server left and didn't come back until 5 minutes after our entrees were served. Fortunately both wines were good so they came back soon after with full glasses. My wife ordered the elk chops with crimini mushrooms and bacon on top of a black garlic mash potato. The presentation was beautiful. Her first bite and instantly her face looked like she was about to hurl. Apparently the first bite was grissle. She reluctantly pushed on and was careful on the next bites and said the elk was chewy. This is not how elk should be. I cook game proteins often. Elk should not be chewy. I checked it out and saw one chop was a little overcooked (medium) and the other chop was cooked proper with a hard sear and medium rare. She did say the few mushrooms and bacon she had were good. LOL! I had the whole fried red snapper with crab risotto and broccolini. This was impressive looking when it arrived and the fish was fried perfect. Unfortunately the risotto under the fish was al dente, pasty, and a little dry.. The cook did not use enough broth to cook the rice through gradually and reduced down and repeat with the broth like a good creamy risotto should be cooked. My wife hardly ate her meal and was still hungry and ordered their churros. You can't go wrong with homemade churros. When they arrived, it looked promising, but that first bite was very sweet and the exterior was over fried and the interior was doughy and not a good texture. If I had to guess, the oil was too hot when they fried them. What a bummer. Everything seemed disjointed and not executed correctly after the cocktails and appetizer. Perhaps it was an off night because there are a lot of good reviews. I wish we could have gave a good review because everything was presented so nice.
