First time visitor at hello sushi! First, there is a cute outside seating area. It was cold and rainy so we sat inside at a booth. My coworker and I got the edamame, which was huge! We each got a clear soup and boyyyy those were very good. It didn't taste like dirty water, but like a soft ramen noodles. Super delicious! Lastly, we each got the crunchy roll. My coworker got the rice paper and I got the soy paper, both were so good! The crabmeat almost tasted fluffy, like very fresh crabmeat. The spicy mayo and eel sauce was decent too. Overall, the atmosphere and food at hello sushi are very good! I would definitely come back for a nice lunch.

Quaint with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and servers who are there to make your experience enjoyable. My favorite part of this visit was my Sake. The presentation of the Cold Sake is creative, fun, beautiful and functional!! Oh, did I forget, pleasing to the palate, pairing perfectly with my sushi.

I've been craving sushi for a while and decided to go to a place close to home. We've been here once before and I can't remember anything negative, so we decided to give it another try. I'm not sure if they're on "dad's thermostat" or their AC is broken but it was very HOT in the dining room. The dining room was empty since we came for an early dinner so service was pretty prompt. That's where the pleasantries of the service ended. The hostess and server were quite short with our family. It was very cold and rude feeling. The looks they would give our family was nothing short of a "bombastic side-eye". When we were done with plates, we would set them at the end of the table and as many times as they walked by to give us the side-eye, they didn't clear the plates so when the food came, the head server seemed really inconvenienced that she couldn't set them down, even though we offered to take them off her hands. The lady at the bar was very nice to all the bar patrons and the sushi chefs worked diligently. It was just the hostess and server who seemed to spoil the experience. The food. All the cooked food from the kitchen was fine. The sushi, I remember being fresh and great but a few of the pieces of sashimi had a questionable color and taste to them. The white fish and hamachi was a tinge of grey, but of course I ate them anyways. They tasted a bit off even though I used quite a bit of wasabi and soy sauce. Hopefully I don't regret it later. The ambience and atmosphere was pretty hip. Other than it being very hot in the dining room, the music was great and the large screen TVs provided entertainment.....but not enough to distract us from the seemingly judgmental server and hostess. I just can't get over the dirty looks they kept giving us. It definitely makes you feel unwelcome in their establishment.

I came in because my driver was on the verge of being hangry and that is not a good look for anyone. We were promptly seated and brought a drink. We had the shrimp dumplings and the surf and turf sushi roll. All of it was perfectly delicious. Friendly employees and clean interior.

I eat sushi every week and this was one of the best sushi I've ever ate. Very good prices and high quality. Also the presentation is amazing. Perfection!

The service was friendly, but they brought out my food way before my husband's which meant I had to be polite and wait which meant that I spent much of the wait time hysterically sobbing and throwing soy sauce and sushi plates at the rest of the guests. The sushi here is not the highest quality which I would be willing to forgive if they had good deals, but I left disappointed. Here is a haiku that sums up my food experience: Imitation crab And mayo ruins sushi Warm salmon nightmare 2.5 stars (for the gyoza and because my husband looks cute eating ramen.)

Ordered by delivery service so could not check till food delivered. I requested cucumber/ crab salad. As you can see from picture, not one piece of crab was included. If they were out they could have let me know instead of sending an incomplete dish and charging full price. Not happy.

Good sushi and fast, friendly service. And gotta love this bonus: free edamame with a YELP checkin. We enjoyed three rolls -- shrimp tempura, baked salmon with crab and Orleans. The presentation was impressive and our meal came out quickly. The waitress was very attentive. We also ordered a side of shrimp fried rice, which was a huge portion filled with shrimp and veggies. Overall, great visit and I hope to return soon.

Dropped in to get a quick fix on sushi for lunch and took 30 minutes to get my meal. No one was in there and it still took 30 minutes. Place is filthy, hostess is unfriendly, and place smells like rotten seafood. Not to mention the portion is tiny. Never again. Gross.

Fantastic rolls.

The inside was clean, spacious, and wasn't busy, which was nice bec we weren't fighting swarms of people like at a typical buffet. I tried a little sample of just about everything. I loved how the food was hot and I'd say the chicken dishes were my favorite. I was pleased with the price, it was a little over $30 for 2 adults, which I felt was good for an AYCE buffet on the weekend. Overall, I'd recommend Hunan if you're in the mood for a fair priced delicious AYCE Chinese buffet!

** UPDATE ** 3/13/26 Guess management read my prior review…read more Came again for lunch today and they had a young man making the sushi fresh. Although limited selection, 2 offered rolls incorporated tempura shrimp, and since I only eat cooked sushi - I was thrilled. Hunan still has great fried wonton, dumplings and the BEST spicy pork dish on any buffet in town. Today I also tried their steam fish entree which was offered in a very light (soy/mirrin?) sauce - sooo tasty, and I don't even like fish much but keep trying to incorporate into my meals for light protein. When I asked the workers there what type of fish it was because it did not taste fishy at all, he said catfish which I was frankly shocked. I usually don't like fish because it's so FISHY tasting, but the way that they steamed it in there light Asian sauce really made it flaky and delicious without a strong fishy taste. Although this buffet is by far one of the smallest in the Sherwood / Broadmoor areas, if you haven't tried it yet I definitely recommend you do so. Especially if you can come going to buffet is fresh when they open at 11:00 a.m.

We were out running errands and the pang of hunger reminded us that we had not eaten breakfast…read more Following a brief stop at the Asian Mart, we proceeded to Teriyaki Tiger, which was conveniently located nearby. The estimated wait time for our call-in order was 18 minutes. My husband arrived 5 minutes after placing the order and found that it was ready for pickup, enabling a quick in-and-out experience. This establishment proudly proclaimed on its website, 'Extraordinary specialty, authentic taste carefully selects the freshest ingredients and serving traditional Japanese culinary skills to satisfy your taste buds.' After driving by it numerous times, we decided to indulge in one traditional, authentic Japanese item from their menu, eager to experience the epitome of culinary excellence. Marvin Gaye sang 'What's Going On?' So, let me describe what's going on at Teriyard Tiger, located at 11228 Florida Blvd... absolutely nothing. Because when it comes to authentic Japanese dumplings, they are not being served here. The perfectly crispy looking machine-made dumplings looked crispy, but tasted like eating a flavorless frisbee. As someone who shelled out $12.13 for two orders of dumplings, I expected to get the real deal, not some pre-made, pre-frozen impostors. The filling was basically just cabbage with some mystery meat that might've been pork, but I'm not convinced. And don't even get me started on the soy sauce - it was like they tried to recreate Japanese flavors, but ended up with something that tasted like it belonged in a bad 80s movie. Here's a tip: just use Kikkoman like a normal person. Several reviewers are praising this establishment, but my initial experience with their dumplings was underwhelming. The cost of dining out has skyrocketed across the USAs and menu prices keep climbing. Wasting my coin on mediocre food is not an option so as the adage goes, you only get one chance to make a first impression. Unfortunately, they failed to impress by serving frozen food, which raises concerns about the freshness and quality of their offerings. This experience has led me to question the authenticity of their claims. Consequently, sticking to my one time resolution I will not be giving them a second chance unless someone else is treating.

* the egg in my Ramen tasted rotten*…read more Well, that was a good hook, wasn't it, I felt like the restaurant still deserve five stars, the best restaurant in my opinion in Baton Rouge besides Soji. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice, the menu had pictures and was more extensive than I thought. The service here was great. The food came out fast and here are my highlights. I got the hibachi Crudo and that was pretty good! Good flavor and good quality. next, the sushi that I got was a very delicious, I love coconut flavors with sushi, the sauce that came with was pretty good. Good quality again and was very refreshing. The Ramen was the best part of the meal, one of the biggest Rams have I've had and for the price it was already worth it. Great presentation with a load of toppings. The quality of the toppings were great, but again, just like my first sentence, the egg felt and tasted rotten which ruined the whole mood but again the Ramen was one of the best taste of Ramen I've had. The Ramen was a bit salty but overall, if I were to come back, I would get the Ramen again, I highly recommend!
