I went into this dining experience imagining it would be something to the likes of Baton Rouge's Sushi Masa. I could not have been more wrong. The rolls were genuinely unappetizing and honestly ugly. Sloppily put together, unevenly cut, and falling apart on the plate, they looked like they were made by someone still learning the basics. Presentation matters with sushi, and this was an immediate red flag before even taking a bite. Unfortunately, the taste matched the appearance. The fish was fishy, the textures were off, and nothing felt fresh or thoughtfully prepared. Combined with an inexperienced server who seemed overwhelmed and unsure of the menu, the entire experience felt disorganized and careless. Overall, this place gives strong cheap mall sushi vibes while charging prices that suggest otherwise. Pleasantly surprised at the freshness of the sushi and the polite and very efficient staff. This restaurant is well run and the food is consistently amazing. There is an adorable sauce station full of fun sauces to try (self serve). Dont forget to geab your individual ice cream from the freezers inside! The fish servings were generous and I loved the elegant simplicity of the all you can eat menu. They have a good selection of roll choices without being overwhelming and they are executed well! I was intrigued that they weren't more busy on a Saturday but I think it was just my timing because there was a steady stream of customers coming in and out after I sat down. This spot is hands down my favorite go-to spot in Denham Springs! The location is super convenient. Every time I come here, the sushi is fresh, flavorful, and consistently amazing. The specialty rolls are always so good, and everything I've tried has been delicious. Their hot pot is also SO good and such a fun experience. The broth is flavorful, the ingredients are fresh, and it's perfect when you want something warm and comforting. It's hard to find a place locally that does both sushi and hot pot this well. What really makes this place stand out though is the exceptional service. The staff is always welcoming, attentive, and makes you feel appreciated every visit. New Restaurant in the old P-Beaus location. All you can eat sushi, hibachi, Hot pot. Made to order. Everything tasted wonderful. Wait staff and management were very attentive. There was a little communication issue with our waitress, who was having some difficulty understanding the fried rice we ordered, but they corrected it and got what we asked for. Really enjoyed the vibe. Looking forward to coming back and trying the hot pot and more sushi rolls. read more

The place is cute inside and out and I like the atmosphere but the food was alright. We went on a Thursday night and it wasn't too busy so the service was pretty quick and all the food looked fresh. We started off with some edamame, crab fingers and crab salad. I think the crab is a little mushy but the crab fingers are interesting. They are crab sticks, cream cheese and avocado deep fried, definitely interesting. Edamame was good, could use some salt. Couldn't finish the sushi rolls the crab is too mushy for me but the hot pot was decent and it was fun! Plenty of parking and have outside seating. read more

Visited today for lunch and was pleasantly surprised! The staff were super helpful, the food was amazing and between me and my husband we tried a lot of items and all were delicious! No need for us to travel to Baton Rouge for AYCE sushi at that other place anymore this place definitely tops it! In all honesty, it was just average to me. My kids really enjoyed the sushi, but I'm not a sushi person and had steak hibachi. Although they really advertise the all-you-can eat concept, there is actually an à la carte menu, for those that don't care to overeat. The steak was cooked to the requested temp. I didn't really dislike anything. The clear soup that came with the hibachi was probably my least favorite, did not have much taste at all. As is usually the case with most hibachi plates, it was massive, and I felt that because of that it was worth the price. That being said, I don't think it's any more memorable than the hibachi I've had elsewhere. The service was very good, which was a plus. There was a cute vibe inside. Would I go back? Yes. Finally! A place where all good things come together. I love having the best of both worlds. I definitely love Hotpot and Sushi. Yum!!!! I have to say I'm particular with quality even though if it's all you can eat. This place meets all of my expectations. I want to thank all of the staff who made my friend and I felt warm and welcoming. I never thought I'd stumble upon such a great restaurant while visiting my friend. Seems like they always forget something that's a repeat order & since it's happened with every waiter we had they may need to tweak their ordering system. I'm a first responder at a chemical plant, and I went to Sushi Ninja fully expecting to be treated with at least a shred of respect, especially given their advertised First Responder Appreciation Program. According to their own promotion, first responders--including police officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, and healthcare professionals--are supposed to receive a 10% discount year-round. What I experienced instead was shocking, insulting, and completely unprofessional. I was denied the discount outright and subjected to rude, dismissive, and disrespectful service. Let me be very clear: this is not a minor oversight. A restaurant that publicly claims to value first responders but treats us like we don't matter is lying to the public and embarrassing itself. Their so-called appreciation program is nothing more than marketing nonsense--empty words with zero follow-through. This isn't just about a discount. It's about basic decency, respect, and honesty. Sushi Ninja failed completely on all fronts. The staff's attitude was insulting, the service was poor, and the experience left me frustrated, disrespected, and angry. They are actively discouraging the very people they claim to honor. To anyone considering this restaurant: stay far away. Do not waste your time, your money, or your dignity here. If a business cannot even honor a simple program designed to show appreciation for people who risk their lives every day, how can you trust them to respect their regular customers? I would be careful coming here when it's busy. They told me it was a hour wait. I had 3 kids who was already starving but really wanted to try this place. The lady said she would call once a table was available. We waited over a hour for no reason!!! I was so upset so we left an went to Takumi they never disappoint me there. While we ate there they still never called. Can you imagine if we still would have waited? We was just outside because inside was so crowded they had other people waiting. I don't understand why we never got seated. I don't recommend this place. I'd go to a different place. read more
