I went to Hello Nails & Spa on a Sunday at 4pm and they were pretty empty at this time. I was a walk in and was helped right away. I got a Honey Pearl pedicure with a French tip. Overall, they did a great job! I didn't feel rushed, the vibe was chill, no one felt uptight or anything. I think Larry did my toes and he did great! I also feel like they were transparent about their pricing. The prices were listed on the menu and at the end of my service, he explained to me that the pedicure was $45 and the white tip was an extra $5. My pedicure came out to $55 and they handed me a ticket to give to the cashier. Most nail places seem to be sneaky about what their pricing is but I didn't feel like that was the case here. I'm giving them 3 stars simply based on my previous experience with them last year. Ruby who does pedicures deserves 5 stars, she is great! The owner is downright obnoxious and has flirted with me unnecessarily many times when his wife wasn't present. Also, there's a nail tech named Hannah that rushes each set she does, after two times, I had to cut ties with all of them. Sadly, I used to love this place but after a while, they just weren't the same. I think if they taught their techs to provide a higher quality of service to their customers paying $75 - $85 for a gel pedicure and $50 - $60+ for a gel nail set, that would help their business. The ambience is pleasant and the pedicures by Ruby were phenomenal because she was kind and takes time with her clients. If you go, ask for Ruby. For nails, I'd recommend the Owner's wife! Haven't been here in a few years but my friend still goes here so I thought I would revisit it. I did a walk-in for a pedicure and gel removal on an early Friday afternoon and didn't have the warmest greeting. But I said whatever because he was busy and sometimes it be like and went to the wall to pick my color. I was stopped and told to go pick a color from the gel polishes. Ive used gel color for plain polish before so I didn't think anything of it. Vibes felt off at this point though. Didn't wait too long to go back. The tech did a good job at cleaning my feet up. He kept prompting me to move my feet around to do his work but some of his cues were confusing tbh. He was sick and I felt like he didn't want to be bothered. Bro was coughing all over my feet. He asked if I wanted the stones and wax; I said yes then he proceeded to tell me that it was an additional cost, $75 total. It used to be included so that disappointing. But I haven't had a pedicure in a while so I said, "Why not?!". He went to start polishing my nails for gel. I told him I only wanted the polish and he told me the color was only for gel So I just asked for a clear polish and no gel. He decreased my price by $10. There was a bit of a language barrier and we kept going back and fourth about gel or no gel. He did finally put on clear polish after a very long leg/foot massage that probably could've ended 5 minutes earlier. I just wanted to yeet myself out of there as fast as I could. Overall, I was pretty disappointed. It was awkward and not the quality it used to be. I can go somewhere else at a lower cost with a better quality of service. I have visited this nail salon 3 times in the past month. After my first visit, I didn't want to come back. It was awkward being asked before I paid for my gel pedi, if I would be tipping. Huh? But, I told myself to give this salon another chance. I came yesterday to get a gel mani AND gel pedi. I think Hannah did the mani and Ruby did the pedi, if I'm remembering their names correctly. I didn't take a good enough look of my nails after the fact. While driving home, I noticed a nail already had a chip and some black mark that I can't get off with soap or running alcohol (it's trapped in the color). I didn't have time to go back to get it fixed. This salon gives a card with a 12 day no chip guarantee, or you can get your nails fixed for free with the same color. I walked in today to get imy chip gel mani fixed before my other scheduled plans. I was told by a tech at the front that I "should have called first" and that they were busy (which the other two times they were empty) . He offered to make an appointment for me to come back at 2. Which at the moment, I was able to do. Now, I can't. I definitely don't want to walk in to be turned away again. I'm not going to bother returning to this salon again. They are overpriced, for subpar work. I have had 3 different techs each visit, and they do work as if they are fresh out of school. Yet, they ask you up front if you will be tipping (which happened again at my visit yesterday... Which I'm glad this time I didn't). Expecting a tip but can't do a simple gel mani? I don't think so. Gel manicure from Maria result was great but the soaking the entire fingers in a bowl of acetone sounds and felt like one of those horror scenes from a horror movie.... One will not repeat that vibe. About three weeks after the gel grow out, the acetone soak made the nail bed worse than prior to getting a gel manicure. I had to wake up Maria a few times during the removal of the previous gel to remove my delicate pristine hands out of the acetone torture bowl several times before wrapping it in cotton acetone wrap which is standard. I dont know what possessed these nail techs to soak the nails in a bowl of acetone but it is overkill and makes the nails very brittle not to mention bad for health. If you do get gel, skip the overkill with the acetone and tell the nail tech to PLS stick to the standard gel removal protocol for health and safety of patrons. There is no amount of overdoing the acetone soak that will expedite the process. To the business owner of this place: PLEASE take care of the customers nails and make them healthier not brittle. Put things on customer patron nails that make the nails stronger and please stop the madness and kick the acetone overdo. Other than this, this nail salon gets the positivity review for cleanliness and friendliness. The people at this spa are very nice but the reviewer is concerned about level of time nail soaks are with acetone. Please skip the acetone bowls for the entire valley's sake. It was easy getting an appointment an hour ahead. The girl who did my pedicure took about an hour which is a bit long for me, but i figured it may be well worth the wait. I asked for the Milk & Honey Pedicure, unfortunately they were out of that so she recommended Jasmine. I love the huge selection of gel colors. I chose a light pink. After an hour, my pedicure was okay - my big toes have acrylic on it and are crooked and hardly any paint at the cuticles. For the amount of time, I expected a way better job. It was also hard for me to relax because the massage chair remotes are zip-tied tightly to the bottom side of the arm rest where you can't see the buttons. Maybe the person who did my pedicure wasn't the best and is better at other services because I have had a full set done here two times in the past and both estheticians did great. I've been coming to hello nails off and on for probably 5 years now. Today was the first time I saw it so quiet and I was maybe 1 of 10 other guests getting their nails done. I give hello nails a 10/10 for cleanliness because whenever I do visit, it feels clean and the service is some of the best service I've experienced at a nail shop. Ben did my pedicure today and he gave me a really nice massage. It was lovely as my feet were really tired and I hadn't had a pedicure in a little over a month. I'm giving them 4 stars bc I noticed their prices have increased. I suspect it's do to inflation and just how high everything else is right now. Overall the staff does a great job if you need a pedicure of a gel manicure. I've gotten acrylic nails once from there for a special occasion as I was in a wedding back in 2019. Now, I will say on about two occasions my nails did chip throughout the years, but out of 20+ visits, that's not too bad. I would say I'm a regular customer off and on, and I usually walk in and am 100% satisfied with my nails most of my visits so it's worth checking out. Definitely call before you stop by or do a walk in as they tend to be busy, today I called and the woman told me to come over and I didn't have to wait when usually there is a bit of a wait. Which was very painful not to mention, tried talking me out of a soak off because "they'll come off easy", resulting in my nail breaking and me bleeding. First review, and it's necessary. When I arrived at the salon the manager "told" me to sit in a random chair to wait. The woman that did my pedicure was unfriendly and extremely rough on my feet. She scrubbed the side of my foot so hard it broke the skin and whispered "sorry" under her breath. I was literally bleeding. My massage chair didn't work (not a deal breaker, but maybe don't put me in a broken seat), and the final product looks goopy. There is still redness around my nails because she was to rough. As I went to pay with a gift card, the manager had to call the number to check the balance. As she was on hold I asked her for the form of payment and she put her finger up to me to tell me to be quiet....wow.... This review isn't to hurt business, but to help it. I have been coming here for awhile, any time I am back in town. I will NEVER come here again! I got my nails done on Sunday (it's Thursday now) and my index finger has been hurting ever since. Today, it's swollen and there is a ball of pus right by the quick of my nail. Super satisfied with the job Tiffany did on my nails! I was very specific in how I wanted my nails done, and Tiffany hit it right on the dot! I got lucky because I walked up without an appointment. The owner happened to pull up when I was outside. He asked if I had an appointment, but I did not call in advance. He was so kind and squeezed me in for a full set. I am so thankful, especially since it's hard to find salons open right now. As soon as I entered, they took my temperature and confirmed that I was wearing a mask. Everything in the shop was set up properly to mitigate the spread of germs- plastic/glass barriers, numerous hand sanitizer dispensers, lots of cleaning with disinfectant, and all employees were wearing masks as well. I usually go to Top Coat in the Nut Tree to get my nails done, but Hello Nails did not disappoint. This may be the new place I go from now on. Hello Nails, Bye Nails. I had a frustrating experience today. My sister, mom, and I arrived 20 minutes prior to opening and Kelly nicely took us in early. Although we had an early start, we were still there for 3 freakin hours for 3 gel manis and 2 cucumber pedis. It would've been nice for our services to be prioritized once more staff showed up, but that wasn't the case. After my pedi, I was told it'd be a 15-20 min wait. At that point, I considered backing out and instead, I'd see my usual nail tech back home in San Jose since my mom and sister were almost done. Regretfully, I didn't. Binh (I think that's his name) did my gel manicure and boy was it the worse one I've ever had. I normally do my nails every 3 weeks so I know how nails should be done. To start off, removing my current gel nails was a red flag because he only let my nails soak for maaaybe 2 or 3 minutes before starting to scrape it off. I didn't even want anything fancy- just some simple, short, solid colored nails. Now I have nails that I'm annoyed of because some are thick/lumpy (looks like 5 layers of polish when he only did 2), some are bubbly, and it looks like they're already grown out because he painted too far from the cuticle. At one point, the nail polish was dripping off one of my nails after being under the light... how tf does that happen with gel nail polish?! Well, that's because he put too much nail polish! In between layers, he was filing my nails that he had already filed. I've never had a nail tech do that before. I could go on and on about my service, but you get the point. 2 stars only because Kim did a great job with my pedicure. read more

Employee barely spoke English and was after all frustrated with me by explaining her over and over what I wanted. After she messed up the length of the nails she got up and start talking in her language and just passed me to someone else without letting me know what's going on ?! My sister is graduating from graduate school tomorrow and we decided to pamper ourselves. The usual nail salon that we go to (& love) closes at 5PM on Sunday, so we used trusty yelp to see where we can go. Hello Nails & Spa popped up. We arrived and were greeted. We let them know that we wanted a pedicure and manicure. We were told to pick out a polish and were flagged down by the two technicians for our pedicures. I sat down and the chair that I sat in, the massage portion of the chair was broken. Ok... The pedicure was ok. Nothing special. It wasn't worth the $38 + $15 for gel nails. I think because it was getting closer to 6PM everyone was rushing to finish to get their customers out ASAP. The second technician came over and said she would start my manicure while the other woman finished my pedicure. I showed her an example of what I wanted from Pinterest. I didn't want a full set, but thought, "ok, maybe it was need to achieve the look I was going for." After recalling a YouTube video, the full set wasn't required. I didn't necessarily want the almond shape, I could've just gone with my short nails. Anyhow, my manicure tops my pedicure. My manicure looks good. The one thing I hate is having fake nails. I have a toddler and I'm still changing diapers. So acrylics are usually not an option for me. What really irritated me was the fact that we were told that we had to pay in cash, when they clearly accept debit/credit. If I wanted to pay with cash, i would've gone to my banks ATM to avoid the $1.25 fee that their ATM machine charges. In the owners words, "We prefer cash". So because of that, I'll go back to my regular nail salon and continue to give them my business. read more

I am so grateful for this place. It's so hard to find a nail salon with professional etiquette. I make appointments & am always taken care of as soon as I get there. The staff is so attentive and so willing to help. The nail salon is always clean and they follow state board regulations (I know because of my career lol) during all services. After COVID I went back to hello nails & my nail tech was no longer with the salon. So the owner stepped in and took care of me I was not disappointed. He was attentive and detailed.
