Hello Massage - Massage Near Me - El Cajon, California

I am beyond disgusted with these people. I had been going pretty regularly for years. No issues. Well, none I noticed at first. Then a few months ago after a massage I look at my bank account and they adjusted themselves a 20% tip. It's wrong on so many levels. Not only is it theft, I always tip big in cash! I work in The service industry and have for 20 years. Their excuse was, "It automatically adds a 20% tip" Well. That's absolute BS. Is that posted somewhere, No. Credit card machines don't add tips. The person running the card or checking out at the end of the day does. I have went 2 other times since then (That's a different story). Last night I only had enough cash for a nice tip, so I put the massage on my card. I should have known better. At the end of my massage I tipped the woman %50 of the total. She gave a fantastic massage. She was worth every penny. Fast forward to today. I think, "I wonder what they charged me. No BS. They gave themselves a %20 tip. To the penny. I'm pissed. It's not the money. Althought a $55 tip on a $76 dollar massage is a little much. It's the principle. They are thieves. Don't use a card here. Pay cash, every time, always ask for a women. NEVER see a guy named Shaun. #2 and I was uneasy saying anything. I was violated by a man here. I can't forget his name, Shaun, because it's so close to mine. The first slip, I told myself it was the oil. He did the whole rest my hand on his lap while he massaged. It was more of him holding your hand close to his penis. When he lifted my elbow to stretch my shoulder, he did it in a way to completey expose me.. Uncovered my body 90% and left the door wide open. I asked him to close the door, I felt exposed and could literally feel a breeze on my privates. He closed it but before my massage was over he "slipped" one more time while rubbing my upper leg. I was in shock. Sick about it. I just wanted out of there. WTF had just happened. I felt dirty. The second I got out the door I started crying. My husband kept asking what was wrong, I didn't answer till we were leaving the parking lot, for fear my husband would go back. Don't get me wrong. Shaun guy deserves to have his ass kicked. But I have family and need my husband more than I need revenge. I have been brushed up on at a bar. Had someone grab my butt or made ridiculous vulgar passes. But I have never ever felt more disgusted after that massage. He took advantage of the situation when I was naked.. I have had many, many male massage therapists. I have never ever left this way with any other massage, I have ever had. I knew I never wanted a man to massage me again. I always ask for a woman now. When I came to look at Yelp today, to see if they were over charging others, I was sick to see the other women's experience. Yes, we are not crazy. That MF is a sick pervert. He should be jailed. read more

AMAZING!!! I walked in at 8:55pm as a walk in, after a long day of shopping in very flat flip flops my feet were aching. I was greeted and asked to pick a service. I asked for the 30 min foot reflexology for $15 but the front desk gentleman let me know for $5 more I can get an hour long...so I got the hour long foot reflexology. It was very quiet, empty but very peaceful. They started right away and I was so impressed that with the foot massage I also received a head, neck, hand and arm massage, flip over back rub/stretch. It was like heaven for 55min! I am defiantly coming back ! read more

Ask for 7, and he'll take care of you full stop. Don't search around. Call and make a reservation asap; no regrets.

Completely inappropriate. I got the 60-min massage and felt so uncomfortable. I don't know why I didn't stop and walk out. Partly because they took my money up-front, mostly because society has trained women to be agreeable. Male masseuse, didn't appear to speak much English. Started out fine, although he used a ton of oil, felt greasy. And he left the door open when he went to get the hot oil - I had a towel draped over my lower half, but that's not cool. Then at one point he had my arm out to the side and rested my hand on his knee while he was rubbing the side of my back. That felt weird, but I chalked it up to him trying to avoid leaving my arm dangling off the side of the table. But then he put his hand on top of mine - not like he was massaging it or putting pressure on it - just gently resting there. Then he scooted his hand up his thigh! I jerked away, and he moved back to massaging my shoulders. So then I was on high alert, trying to plan an escape route - but he seemed totally normal for a while, so I convinced myself I was overreacting and tried to relax and enjoy my massage. Well then later, he got up ONTO the table and was kneeling in between my legs! Super weird, I didn't like that - but he wasn't touching me inappropriately, just rubbing my back and putting pressure on it. Then he lifted my feet toward my butt and applied pressure that kinda stretched/popped my legs. And he did some other things like pulling my arms, lifting my shoulders, pulling/stretching me, etc. So again, I convinced myself that maybe this was a Thai massage place and it was normal for him to be kneeling between my legs? I've only had a handful of massages in my life, I'm not an expert. But then he did this thing where he grabbed my hips and lifted them upwards. Felt kinda rapey - like, I can recognize that that's a good stretch, but it's not something I want to be doing with a man kneeling over me and nothing on but a towel! Save those moves for a yoga studio! Whyyyyyy I didn't just tell him to stop, I don't know. I guess I felt vulnerable in there alone and practically naked. Makes me feel stupid. But yet again, I'm laying there just trying to convince myself that this isn't creepy and it's just a different style of massage. But then here's the last bit that cannot be explained away: Later he was standing beside the table, doing a circular motion on my shoulder blades with one hand while pressing downward on my low back with the other, and I felt his PRIVATE PART brush up against my hand which was laying at my side - and it definitely wasn't an accident, because he did it twice along with the circular massage motion. I clenched my hand into a fist, and he stopped and went back to a "normal" type of back rub. At this point I'm just wanting it to be over so I can get dressed and leave. Which finally happens, after he rubbed me down with a hot towel. So in the end, I almost feel like I'm overreacting because it's not like he touched my private parts or anything. But I expected to leave my massage feeling relaxed, not feeling slightly violated and confused and ashamed for not stopping him when I felt uncomfortable. Then I went home and looked at the Yelp reviews, and someone named Nikki C had the exact same experience as me, about a month ago. This place is skeezy!!! Avoid!!! read more

Quick response time, with great flexibility with last minute reservations. It was my first massage, wasn't sure what to expect. The staff was welcoming, and friendly. The massage was GREAT! My back has been pretty tight and stiff the last couple days so this helped a lot. I'll be back for sure. read more

I'm not sure how this place had 4 stars. Hello massage, more like goodbye massage. They don't understand English very well, and my husband and I asked for a Swedish massage but got a deep tissue. Ouch! Even when telling them softer they would say okay but continue at the same pressure. We got the full body but only got mid body. My hands and feet were touched but not massaged. The hole you put your face in is lined with paper towel and not soft paper towel, and is super hard and uncomfortable. Before they ask you to turn onto your back they rub you down with a warm towel, and that would have been nice but the towels were so corse, if I used them on my car my car would be scratched so badly. Gave 2 stars instead of one because the are nice people just not my cup of tea. Unfortunately I would not come back. read more

I was a little skeptical of this place when they first moved in here but my husband was determined to check it out. Boy was he right, this is pretty much the only place we go for massages now ‍ They are really friendly, always make sure your comfortable, and great prices! read more

I found this place on yelp and per the reviews I decided to give them a try. I went in on a walk-in basis and they were able to get me in within 5mins. A man in the waiting room was telling me he has been going there for a while and they always do an awesome job. I got my massage by Candy. She was so sweet and did an amazing job! I asked for heavy pressure and it was perfect. She even asked a few times if the pressure was still okay. She was very thorough and I left feeling way better than I went in. I'll be going back for sure!! read more

Such a great place for a massage and the prices were even greater! 40$ for an hour massage? I'm in! It was probably one of the best massages I've had. They took me back within seconds of walking through the door. No waiting time. They are super friendly and made me feel comfortable without pushing other services on me. Ask for Cindy! She is wonderful! read more

I love this place! Went here 4 times in 1 month, best spot in San Diego, tried few others, they're all awful comparing to this place! I would highly recommend you to choose this place over others, even if you live far away. read more

I cannot say enough about this place. Felling a little stressed and sore and checked Yelp for suggestions. After calling a few places in my area with no luck at such short notice, I found Steve and Hello Massage. It wasn't the most luxurious place, but it was clean and comfy and Steve brings such a quiet, positive energy. The next hour was absolute magic. I left feeling relaxed and so, so grateful to have found this place. I urge you not to let the location (strip mall) throw you. Go here. Ask for Steve. Leave happy. read more

My family and I have been coming here regularly for the past 6 months and we really enjoy it. Great deep tissue massage, clean spa and you can usually get in same day or walk in. 60 min full body massage is what I go for and it's only $40! Compared to fancy spas who charge on the upwards of $75-$100 an hour. This is an Asian massage so it is stronger then most Swedish massage some may be used to. Mark and Sean are great male massage therapists to ask for. They also have a frequent point system every 9 full body massages you get 1 free. read more

I went to this place based off of the reviews. It is a clean place with friendly staff. My complaint would be they did not ask if I was a first time customer and because I was receiving a new service based off of the reviews I didn't really know what to do or what to expect. Because they just assumed that I was a customer or always get the service done I was a bit lost and thought it wasn't the best experience although I will go back again because now I know what to expect. read more

There are many massage stores in this area in San Diego, this one is my favourite. I was a little confused in the beginning, because there are two hello massage stores there, one is in Escondido I went last week, the other is this one in El Cajon. Different therapists, different massage style, some are strong, some are gentle. If you just want to relax and slow, I don't recommed strong therapist. I like gentle, so I don't choose strong therapist, too strong for me. I like the therapist with patience and communication while doing massage. Most of them speak English even though their English is limited. They speak Chinese. read more

The therapists there are sooo amazing, I've been there several times. I have shoulder and neck problem, so I asked them to focus on my shoulder and neck, they can speak English and understand me and found my spot every time and that really works. Especially the Thai massage, it has streaching, I love it. I will choose Thai again next time. I also like their foot reflexology so much, first they put my feet into the tub with warm water to soak for about 10 minutes and then massage my feet . I chose ginseng soup, they said ginseng is good to regulate inflammation, provide antioxidant protection and maintain the health of cells, and decrease the risk of certain kinds of cancer. The foot reflexology is so cheap, 30 dollars for one hour. read more

This massage is by far one of my favorite places! Very clean and quiet! They are also very respectful and respect your requests.

Came here for a mom's night out with some friends. It was my first massage and it was wonderful. I had the 30 min body/30 min foot combo. Sean was great. I was relaxed and my knots were efficiently worked out. I will definitely be back again. read more

I have had MANY messages but this was by far the WORST massage and massage therapist I've ever had. They pointed us to a dark room, no light on, no instructions (for the ones in our group that had never had a massage). My massage was sooooo PAINFUL I could barely stand it. I should've walked out several times but I didn't. I repeatedly asked her to reduce the pressure and she REFUSED. she told me pain and soreness was good and I was wasting time and money getting "feel good" massages. I explained it was MY time and MY money. The next day I was so sore and in pain. I would never recommend this place. read more

One of the best full body massages I have ever had. My back was very stiff and tight. My neck and shoulders were very sore. Angela knew what muscles needed extra attention. She was very professional! Thank you Angela! Mike who came back with the extra tip. read more

This is the worst place for a massage! There is no way that they hire trained individuals. Horrible massage! Then to top it off they are incredibly rude regarding tips. Completely ruined my day. read more

Nice, cozy, and clean place. Friendly employees. Massage was decent for the price. I would go back.

I have frequented Hello Massage for over a year now and it was always my favourite place for a cheap, wonderful massage. The past three times I have been here, however, have been the three worst massages I have gotten in my life. I've been to enough good massage places to know that I shouldn't be screeching in pain or getting up from a finished massage with excruciating pain. That's what I've been dealing with my past 3 visits. I'm not quite certain how "trained" the masseuse is but he could honestly receive more training starting at the beginner level. He applied painful amounts of pressure to a lot of sensitive points in my body, especially my shoulders. He also was on the verge of scratching my shoulder blades to the point of blood before I kindly asked for him to stop. To be honest, I love Hello Massage and have had many great massages here, I just don't know if I'll be back. read more

Got a massage today, Eva I believe her name was, she gave a perfect massage. Kept checking to make sure the pressure was okay, and was the sweetest. Definitely going back and asking for her again! read more

I've been here a few times. Mark is amazing. He goes really deep, but asks you if you're doing okay for the first 10 minutes. Once he gets a hold on your comfort level he lets loose, and will continuously ask if you're okay throughout the massage. But not obnoxiously. Very clean Very friendly. Great prices. Hot stones as an add on is a must. read more

Came in this evening and happy to see Mark is still here. I've been away one year and Mark still provided a deep tissue massage; if you like a deep tissue he is the guy to see. Very happy to have a great masseur for a big guy as myself. Tip him well he's worth it. read more

Went to get a massage here. Overall the massage was decent. What got me was that they asked me to pay upfront before my massage... super weird. Then on the tip line I didn't know how to tip on a massage I hadn't received yet so I left 10% thinking if it was good i would leave extra cash. THE FIRST THING the massage guy said to me was "you only left a $4 tip. If you like massage can you leave a bigger tip?" So rude and weird. I told him if it's a good massage maybe I will leave more. Really put me off. So i won't be going back. read more

I just finished THE BEST foot reflexology massage ever. And I'm a foot reflexology massage snob, I don't say things like that lightly. The place was clean, the ambiance was relaxing, there's even a 3D butterfly collage art work thing in the hallway that was gorgeous! The music was relaxing, the bed sofa chair thing was ultra comfy, the people were super nice.. =) #winning read more

I have been faithfully coming to these therapists for the past 5 years. Every service they provide is amazing. I love that each therapist has a different style, but has seemed to perfect their craft to deliver a healing experience. I felt like I won the lottery when I found out they opened up closer to me! I actually just had a massage with May last night (90 minute Foot Reflexology), probably the best massage I have had to date. Honestly, my favorite part is when she scratches my scalp and rubs my face (who wouldn't love that!?) I recommend this type of service/massage to anyone as self-care, self-maintenance, and catharsis. This is a valuable tool for anyone looking for healing, regardless of what kind. PS: This venue is gorgeous! read more

Was uncomfortable as soon as I walked in . No one was at the counter and when they realized there was a line 4 people came out and the lady who helped me looked very mad . Once the we're ready I was taken to a room where there were 2 young kids who stared at me the whole time . After 15 mins of waiting I was given a decent massage but he stopped after 45 mins and I paid for an hour . So it seems they count your wait time as part of the massage . When I left I told them how uncomfortable The whole experience was and they asked me not to talk about I and to just leave . read more

I tweaked my neck and left shoulder yesterday and really needed to get it worked out in some way. So Hubs and I made a reservation for each of us; 90 minute fusion, that was explained as back and feet reflexology for $50. I definitely was not expecting the wonderful experience that we had today! It has been forever since our last massages and this was our first time for both of us at Hello Massage and we will be returning! My favorite part was the hot stones, Hubs was being walked on. We were each asked how much pressure we wanted; let me say these are some strong women! Either way you can't go wrong, and $50 for 90 minutes; you won't find better. They have a rewards card, purchase 9, & get the 10 massage free. Same day appointment was also great. We were NOT forced to tip as some reviews have stated but were definitely happy too. read more
