I found this company on Yelp and gave them a try for short-run DVD duplication. I'm very satisfied with the final product, turnaround time, and customer service! Highly recommended for short-run projects! CUSTOMER SERVICE: Echoing previous reviewers, Hellman's customer service is great! Jacqui (sales) and Rebecca (graphics) were both extremely helpful and accommodating. PRODUCTION: The turnaround time was around 7 business days (it would've been less, but we had to adjust the artwork after the first proof and I think there was a minor printing error somewhere along the way). The paper used for the DVD wrap and insert is nice quality. The printing on the paper and disc isn't super crisp, but we're satisfied (I'm not sure if there's a quality difference with mass production projects). PRICE: I think it's pretty standard for a short-run project. SHIPPING: They're located in Santa Monica, so I just picked up my order. Convenient (despite having to deal with the 405) and the staff is really friendly! read more

Hellman Production - Very satisfied with our short-run DVD duplication! (Single layer DVD 5 + 2-disc amaray case + full color wrap and insert) - Mass Media Near Me - Santa Monica, California

Sadly - they no longer do short run duplication / replication ... I was always pleased with the quality of work done here and the customer service (and the price) but sadly we will probably be taking our business elsewhere since most of our DVD / CD dup. jobs are under 500 pieces .... read more

This is how business should be done! I was in need of an in-town duplication company to get a small project of 220 discs made. I emailed Hellman Production and within 2 hrs we had the project initiated, files sent over and they were working on printing up the discs. When I went to their shop to drop off the master DVD's, I was greeted by the owners. They were respectful, kind, showed me their operation, and even gave me a parking pass while we got things finalized inside. The next day, I picked up my DVD's, the quality of the print was fantastic, and everyone was so nice. I can't wait to work with this fine company again. THANK YOU SO MUCH! read more

Being a newbie to dvd duplication/replication and authoring, Hellman Production was a godsend. Jacque was extremely helpful and friendly in assisting me in selecting the packaging, suggesting jackets as well as ways to save money suggesting that we do somethings ourselves. Howard was extremely helpful on the authoring part of creating a dvd. Being a newbie to StudioPro, he went through my project pointing out errors and giving me ways to resolve the issues, some errors that I didn't even know I had, navigationally and structurally. A friend suggested Hellman to me saying, "They're really nice and helpful." I would capitalize those words, if and when someone asks for a place to take care of all your dvd needs. I live in downtown LA and at first I thought I could find a place closer, but it was and is well worth my dealing with traffic to go to Hellman Production. read more

What's important to us is quality customer service and people who care about our product as much as we do. Jacqui was GREAT at keeping communication high, always returning our phone calls, and keeping us updated throughout the process. We've done a handful of CD replication projects, and the final product has been spot on. We are super sensitive about the accuracy of the color reproduction for our artwork, and with Hellman I don't have to worry. They have nailed it each time. I know I could pay less elsewhere, but I also know I get what I pay for, and quality product and service is on point. I'll be back. read more

Excellent customer service and a very prompt turn around time. We needed 1000 copies of this movie soundtrack in about a week for the Berlin film festival. Hellman was only company that could guarantee that fast of a turn around time with a very competitive price. They even finished a couple days ahead of schedule. They have a small staff so dealing with them feels very comfortable. All correspondence was done with the same person every time and when I came to pick up (I live very close to their office) the boxes, he kindly brought them out to the street and helped me load them into my car. We went with a 6 panel digipack and it turned out immaculate. If you are looking for larger quantity (500 or more) duplication, Hellman productions is the place to go! read more

This company was very helpful when our company needed to send out 2500 mailers with DVDs. Always quick to respond to emails and available for answering questions. All the mailers turned out great, and the service was fantastic. read more

My company needed few thousand of DVDs for promotion purpose. I called 6 companies I found online for quotation. It was the only place that's really local, the other places I've found I have to ship my stuff to out of state and wait a week. Hellman Production finished my job in 2 days and they took the time to explain everything to me. And their price was very reasonable. Highly recommended! read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about Hellman Productions. I needed to order 500 DVD dubs and I needed them turned around pretty quickly. I received an immediate response to my inquiry from a sales representative, Swire Ho. Swire was excellent and super responsive throughout the whole process. I got numerous updates on the progress of my order without having to ask. I would absolutely use them again in the future. read more

Howard was great to work with. Far superior to other companies we have dealt with in the past. I fully recommend them. Jh

Amazing followthrough, I found this company on a fluke. My business is called Synergy Design, we produced some DVD content for a client that wanted to have them as a take away item at an international convention. This was a tight deadline and by the time we wrapped the project up we needed a company with great quality and a fast turnaround. we also wanted a local company for reassurance incase we needed to pick up the project. Well Swire the owner was very nice worked with us all the way and actually finished earlier then expected. Me and my client are worry free now and extremely happy with the results. read more

I can't say enough good things about Hellman Production. I did some research and found them online. I was initially impressed by their website -- it's straightforward, attractive, user-friendly, and provides a very clear explanation of their services. I worked with Hellman on a project which required a large CD duplication order, CD sleeve printing and mailing. The client I worked with had never undertaken a project like this, so everyone was a bit anxious at first. But Swire Ho and his group are consummate professionals, and everything went extremely smoothly. I couldn't ask for a better vendor -- most highly recommended! read more

I was very pleased with every aspect of our encounter. Each stage of the process was completed to the day they projected. Will use them again. read more

Hellman Production provided us with a quick and efficient turnaround on our DVD replication needs. They have really good customer service

I found Hellman productions through the web. I had been sourcing my DVD duplications out-of-state and was having major problems with their media, lots of returns, my clients were unhappy, and I was losing money. Hellman was able to use my original masters (masters the "other guy" said were faulty) and create flawless duplicates. I won't go anywhere else but Hellman, Shirley and her team are the best, quick turnaround on both DVD and CD. They are THE BEST!!!!!! Look no further. read more

Great service, they accommodated my need for a quick turnaround without a problem. I had 500 standard DVDs replicated w/ cases, jacket sleeves and on disc printing. Highly recommended. read more

Inquired about an order, got a call back almost immediately by one of the rep's. Got all the information I needed prior to placing an order, gave a specific deadline and confirmed they could meet it. Once doing so, I went a head and placed the order with them. My account representative updated me every step of the way until my job was complete and ready to pickup. Definitely using Hellman for all my future disc replication needs! read more

This was my first order through Hellman Production. I needed 1000 mini DVDs. The service was excellent and prompt. I will definitely be returning with my next order. read more

We have used Hellman for many years for DVD replication and have been very satisfied with their work. They are very helpful and while they aren't the cheapest replication company, their replications (including printing and materials) are noticeably better quality and they go out of their way to help. They also don't nickel and dime you for small things that the "cheaper" companies do (which we found out when we did a trial run with another company to try to save money on large runs... a few cents adds up). For example they didn't charge us to make very minor modifications in putting artwork on their template, etc. which another company wanted $100 for (which for the life of me given the size of our order I can't understand). In the end, the quality of their work, materials and excellent customer service is noticeably better than the cheaper companies we tried. We recently had a rush job and they came in with a finished product 3 days before their estimate. Not that they can always do that necessarily, but when they can, they do. The extra few cents per DVD is worth the great customer service they provide. Very highly recommended. read more
