I love it! I attended a free yoga class as a Yelp event and I was hooked! The people are so welcoming and considerate! The hot pilates class was intense but fun and by the end of the class I was beaten but felt so refreshed! They have cute dogs who lounge around the studio and are extremely nice and approachable. I signed up for a three-month membership and I am looking forward to going to the studio! Highly recommend it!

I used to come here A LOT (last year) even if it's a 35 minute drive (one way) and you always have to pay for your parking! (That's the most annoying part for me) They have a very cheap intro price if you're new. I think it's $99 for 2 months. That's very cheap for an unlimited class! Their regular price after that isn't that bad either. Their classes are hella fun! I enjoyed attending their inferno pilates, bikram yoga and buti yoga. If it's Kelly's class, expect it to be packed! She's hella good so it's understandable. I always come at least 15 minutes early so I could save a good spot. I don't mind hanging out in their lobby even if it's small and sometimes packed with people depending on what time you come. I love that they have early, midday and evening classes. And I love that they have classes 7 days a week. Although on weekends they only have morning class. Not sure if it has changed now? They have their own app btw so you could download that and plan ahead on which class you wanna attend. Sometimes they cancel classes but they always announce it ahead of time. I only stopped coming because I don't have the luxury of spending 3-4 hours each day preparing, driving and attending their class anymore. I do miss that place though. A lot. I really enjoyed working out there. I wish they'll open a branch near me! I knocked out 1 star only because it gets really annoying if you wanna use the restroom and/or changing room afterwards during a busy class. It is very limited and you need to be really patient if you wanna use it. And also, they don't limit the number of people per class so sometimes it gets too crowded for comfort.

The Hot Pilates class at Hella Yoga is one of the most challenging and rewarding classes I've ever taken. Although I work out frequently, this class always kicks my butt in the best ways possible. It takes place in a heated room, with a clubesque vibe with bumpin' music. The instructors I've worked with are all amazing and truly push you every minute of the 60 minute class. The class consists of MANY sets and MANY reps of HIIT, working the full body through both rigorous cardio and body weight exercises. I always come out sopping with sweat! Because the room is so hot and the workouts so intense, be sure to fast 2-3 hours before class and HYDRATE! I highly, highly recommend this studio and specifically the Hot Pilates class!

Wow, I think I fell in love! As a new transplant to the Bay Area, I am exploring all of the trappings the West Coast has to offer - relaxed people, beautiful weather, and intense exercise classes. I just took at Hot Pilates class at Hella Yoga and I am happy to report everything about this studio is amazing. Hella Yoga is a new addition to the Berkeley fitness scene, being open since last September. Upon entry, I was immediately greeted by Kelly, Hella Yoga's friendly owner and her mother. She walked me thru the class registration process and instructed me where to place my belongings. After I was settled, I proceeded into the studio for hot pilates - taught by Kelly! The studio itself is rather large, darkly light, and has glow in the dark features. Hot Pilates with Kelly is no joke! She is filled with great energy and power! I knew that the class would be intense when we completed our first round of bridge exercises. As I sweated thru each round, I felt Kelly's tough but positive energy. The entire class was so challenging, but amazing. Her music playlist is spectacular- it definitely helped me push thru! I loved Kelly, the Hot Pilates class, and Hella Yoga. I plan to sign up for more classes ASAP! If you're looking for a demanding workout with a studio filled with wonderful people and amazing energy - Hella Yoga is for you!

Are there usually street parking nearby in the evening? (6:30pm and after)

I usually find something but I do have to drive around to different streets to find a parking space.

It was getting to the point that my husband and I were afraid someone was going to report him for abuse. After another computing/typing related flare sent me to a neurologist, she suggested physical therapy, but also to start Pilates. An active person who avidly walks and cycles daily, I'd always considered PIlates a luxury exercise, but Reform Your Body Pilates was close, soI thought I would give it a shot. It may have been the single best decision I have made for my health. In the individual assessment Sornam listened attentively to my historical laundry list of maladies (repetitive stress injuries, broken foot, ankle, wrist, breast reduction complications, back/neck problems, pelvic floor collapse, etc.). Where few others had, she saw a bigger picture emerge and began devising a treatment plan. She gently introduced me to the exercises, the equipment, and her approach in a manner that made it accessible to someone who always hated group activities or use of equipment due to lack of coordination. When I began sessions with two other clients, she was and has always been careful to modify exercises for each of us according to our bodies' requirements. Remarkably, with her guidance both in class and outside of class, many of my symptoms across various ailments began to dissipate. I grew stronger and surprisingly to me, less clumsy. In the subsequent years, I went from once a week to twice a week sessions because Sornam has kept me in motion. When I experienced another unrelated series of surgical complications, Sornam nursed me back to a state where I could resume bicycling daily. When I developed a autoimmune disorder that results in chronic pain, (I mentioned I was a lemon, right?), I began running to manage my emotions and avoid opiates. Given the sheer number of potential injuries associated with running, Sornam could never counsel someone like me to pick it up, but when I insisted, she helped me through the repeated beginner's injuries. Twice in five years, when out of town, I have dropped into a different Pilates class. These other instructors took no care to accommodate, nor to recognize the exercises that could easily cause injury even to a healthy body. I could not finish either class. They reminded me of how incredibly fortunate I am to have Sornam. Sornam is an essential part of my continued health plan. I recommend her for any lemon, as well as any other kind of fruit in the bowl. She is in a word, marvelous.

I was suffering from a debilitating back issue when I sought out Pilates. Sornam came up as one of…read morethe highest rated Pilates instructors in the area and I would soon learn why. She helped me become better aware of my posture, my core, and to carefully strengthen my body to better support itself. Working in a small trio class, I received closer attention and Sornam could correct me if needed. Highly recommend her studio if you are serious about working with a warm, knowledgeable and capable instructor, getting leaner and stronger in a safe way without injuring yourself, &/or if you would just like to maintain a conditioned and flexible body overall. Time/location restrictions (on my part) have prevented me from further sessions with her, but it was one of the best investments I've ever made. She is generous with her knowledge and I am so much better for it. Thank you Sornam!

There's a level of presence and care from the instructors that you can feel right away. You're guided with attention and intention, so you feel both safe and gently encouraged to expand. Moving into the group classes felt really natural. Each class meets me where I am while also inviting me forward. There's a quiet strength in the space. It's welcoming, thoughtfully held, and allows you to turn inward while still feeling connected. I've also been pairing the classes with FST sessions, and that combination has been incredibly supportive.
