TLDR: Helios hired someone in Pakistan to harass me and try to impersonate me to take down an unwanted review. Never work with these people. If this continues I'll be exploring legal options Absolutely insane experience with this place. We paid $5K+ for an Airbnb reservation 2 years ago, and we had a poor experience given that price. Everything was slightly off about the place. The worst part was the washer broke, then they promised to pick up laundry and then never came. Once we went to go pay for our own laundry they almost didn't want to reimburse until we pushed hard. All of this I put in a fair 2 star review. Few days ago, I started receiving weird messages from Airbnb. Someone had apparently started calling Airbnb pretending to be me to remove my review. This happened 5-10 times. Then, I got a message from a WhatsApp number in PAKISTAN asking me to take down my review for a discount with Helios properties. After I went "what is this?" they deleted their messages. read more

Our Helios rental at The Modern Indio | Pool+Spa Home had everything our big group of 16 needed. Every year a group of friends (6 families) gets together to rent a large house with a pool and spa. We make sure to have a good sized kitchen because we love to cook! This home has all the kitchen amenities we needed (blender, oven, crock pot, dishwasher, plates and utensil for our large group) to make our relaxing weekend possible. The yard was beautiful with plenty of comfortable seating all around. The price of the house was definitely worth it and the Helios team was super responsive prior to, during, and post our stay. My family and I had a great time at Entertainer's Paradise | Luxe Pool + Game Room. It was clean and there was plenty of space and things to do in the house. The pool was warm even without heating it but the floor of the pool was a little rocky and scratched up our feet. The ping pong table net was broken but the kids enjoyed the air hockey table underneath. Helios Vacation Rentals were always quick to respond and made sure everything was going well. My family stayed at The Crescendo| Stylish Modern Pool Home (Free Spa Heating). We loved everything about it. The open layout was perfect for everyone to be together yet still be comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need. We made breakfast lunch and dinner everyday. All of the beds are very comfortable and the rooms were cozy. The backyard and pool was amazing. The umbrellas around the jacuzzi and pool let you enjoy the pool without getting burnt. The owner was quick and responsive with any questions I had. We had two families totaling 8 people staying at one of Helios' Indio properties for the week of 4th of July - and we had a great stay for a 105°+ weather! House: We had no issues accessing the home or using the amenities. It was clean and spacious. We were welcomed with a thoughtful welcome basket that included wine and snacks. We mainly used the pool, hot tub and bbq. The pool guy came 2x to clean the pool which we appreciated. Our point of contact was available via text for quick support or to answer questions. The house manual we received in advance of the trip was helpful and I appreciated the recommendations of nearby restaurants and sites. A/C was not an issue except for one room. Garage was large and mainly empty to park your car and stay out of the sun. House essentials: pool towels, shower towels, shower toiletries, bedding, extra bedding, basic kitchen appliances, kitchen cutlery/dishes, bbq tools/propane - all were available to us. There was extra toilet paper, trash bags and paper towels. We did end up buying our own outdoor bluetooth speaker, board games and floaties/air pump for the pool. I would have loved if they had yoga mats or some basic gym equipment in the garage but it didn't impact our experience not having it. Neighborhood: There was a playground walking distance from the house however it was too hot to use - great in better temperatures for families with young kids. We met the neighbors across the street during fireworks and they were very kind. The neighborhood itself is pretty average and not the highest end with surrounding shopping areas close and convenient (Walmart, Starbucks, Walgreens) but again, not the highest end. Which we were just fine with as we had a car to explore outside Indio. Overall, we enjoyed our time. read more
