    A Dreamy Desert Escape Was Our Perfect Getaway at The Knot in Palm Springs From the moment we arrived at The Knot, we knew we had found something special. Tucked away in the serene Little Tuscany neighborhood of Palm Springs, this rare 1937 bungalow was our own private secluded, peaceful, and impossibly charming. The highlight? The stunning outdoor space. Waking up to mountain views and stepping out onto the sun-drenched patio was pure bliss. We spent our mornings lounging by the saltwater lap pool, sipping coffee under the swaying palms. Afternoons were for lazy dips in the spa, and as the sun set, we fired up the natural gas BBQ and enjoyed dinner by candlelight. No music was needed the soft desert breeze and starry night sky created the perfect ambiance. Though we felt a world away, downtown Palm Springs was just minutes from our doorstep. We strolled through charming boutiques, indulged in incredible meals at nearby restaurants, and sipped craft cocktails at intimate bars. It was the best of both worlds total seclusion when we wanted it and easy access to the vibrant energy of the city. What made The Knot even more special was the thoughtful attention to detail. Everything was designed for comfort, relaxation, and romance. And while the neighborhood is wonderfully peaceful, it added to the magical allowing us to fully unwind, recharge, and just enjoy being together. We will be back, we had an out of town friend stop by who fell in love with our place and plans on renting there in the near future rather than their normal hotel. If you're looking for a picture-perfect couple retreat, The Knot is pure perfection. We left feeling completely refreshed and already dreaming of our next stay!

    Great communication and the place was even better than the pictures showed. Extremely clean making it feel less lived in than other places I have rented. I would stay at one of their properties again. They made sure we had everything we needed and even dropped off a little welcome treat.

    We bought a short term rental in Palm Springs over a year ago and signed up with a property management firm that shall remain nameless. Of course it started out good and went downhill from there. Reservations started drying up, they weren't responding to emails, and the owner was a complete diva. Enough of that bad experience. After that experience, I interviewed 5 firms, large and small. I interviewed firms for their experience in marketing, customer service, maintenance ability, rates. At the end of the day, I think all firms are fairly equivalent on marketing as they all use the Airbnb, VRBO and key sites. Some larger firms have partnerships with hotel chains such as the Marriott but you pay for that as well. If you can keep renters in without the extra cost, why wouldn't you? So if all firms are equivalent in marketing, than what differentiates them? Customer service to the owners, responsiveness to owners and guests when there are issues and nice touches. This is where Poolside is different from their competition. They drop off a welcome basket with snacks, put waters in the refrigerator, lift up the shades, turn the outside lights on, and make sure the property looks in tip top shape before the guests arrive. They also will turn on the pool/spa heater to have it warm when the guests arrive (if the owner is ok with it). I've stayed at several Airbnb's and when you get there, you are tired, hungry and wish you had something to snack on or water. Very nice touch! They also touch base with the guest to let them know they are available if anything comes up. Their orientation book is very comprehensive with the happenings in Palm Springs, restaurant recommendations, and instructions on how different things work in the house (pool heater, thermostat, fire pit, etc.). It is very helpful to the guest. Now from an owners perspective. They don't nickel and dime you like other firms. They are transparent about costs, what they can and can't do. They let us know when something is broken or needs to be fixed and if it isn't a big expense, they fix it themselves. They treat your home as if it is their home. They use the LiveRez system for reservations and owners statements so I can access it at anytime. Most importantly, they respond immediately when I call or leave a message. They have been available days, nights and weekends and never seem annoyed when I call. I highly recommend this firm. My contact Nate has been fantastic to work with but I've also interacted with other team members (mostly from larger firms like Vacasa) but want to give the personal touch of a boutique firm.

I wanted to hire the best and decided on Ryson. Jason and Ryan are incredibly hard working. Sometimes I send emails in the middle of the night and feel bad because I know they will still respond quickly. Yes, they have a pre-set onboarding process, but I found it to be very professional. I wanted to open at lighting speed because I had been delayed so long with the pool construction. I bought a lot of things that just weren't needed like duvet covers that weren't white or pillow cases that were special and only in a set of two and those had to go. That was disappointing, but we didn't want sheets in the photos that were impossible to replace. It's better to have things done perfectly so your first guests will be 10 star happy and ours were. The consistent comments I get from guests are that the management company is quick to respond and resolve problems. From their website identify their properties and look at the reviews there and on Airbnb. Many of the comments will not only compliment the house, but also Ryson typically it's related to communication, problem resolution or cleanliness. I've had pool issues and after many months of dead ends, they helped me get to the bottom of the problem. With our city getting serious about neighbor complaints, I'm not worried because I know Ryson will be on top of it. We had one group during Cochella that was playing meditation music so loud that I got a call from the neighbors in the middle of the night. Ryan let them know that they would be out there right away and if he could hear the music from the exterior of the home he would immediately terminate the stay if the guests didn't comply. They were also protective to ensure the safety of their cleaning staff. It cost me money, but I respect that. If staff are treated well, they will take care of the home well. No management company is perfect. It's a demanding job with lot of surprises every day. We look at the house as a business. It doesn't have to be my way, it just needs to be safe, beautiful, professionally managed and provide our guests with a great experience.     Avoid this company at all costs…read more They "managed" two of my Palm Springs condos. In one instance, they allowed my condo to be sublet by someone whom I did not know and who did not have a lease agreement with me. The debacle ended in a nasty eviction and the loss of thousands of dollars. There was never any apologies for this disaster and they refused to take responsibility for it. I was baffled by their lack of accountability. Surely someone could have noticed that they had been receiving payments from "Tom" and suddenly "Harry," who is not on the lease, is making payments. But their "over promise and under deliver" motto disallowed them from noticing such things. In another instance, my condo became vacant and needed to be listed. It sat unoccupied with no interest in it for a month. When they sent an email to me stating that I needed to lower the price by $500 (a 25% reduction) for lack of interest, I became curious because Palm Springs is a fairly strong market right now and "no interest" in my condo sounded very suspicious. After a few clicks on my Mac I discovered that no one at Utopia bothered to take any interior pictures of my condo to accompany the listing. When I brought this to their attention, instead of being embarrassed by the sloppiness, Nicole, the manager, argued, talked over me, made excuses, challenged EVERYTHING I said. For example, when I said, "My condo has no pictures attached to the listing," she would bark, "It does, too, have pictures attached to the listing. Don't lie." So yes, it did have pictures....OF THE EXTERIOR. But no one is going to inquire about a property if they can't see pictures of where they will be living. But she dug in her heels and could not concede that a lack of inside photos was critical to a successful listing. Also, It was simply lost on her that, because my property sat vacant for that moth, I lost thousands of dollars. She wanted to argue that "technically" there were photos attached to the condo even though none of them were of the interior rather than say, "That is not how we like to do business, let me take care of it and we will all put in extra effort to get it rented." It was the polar opposite of a professional way to handle their blunder. If you are a property owner, be advised that Utopia does not understand they are handling an investment of yours. They do not appreciate that you have time, sweat, and money invested in your property. Go elsewhere. You will regret listing your property with Utopia.

Everything was clear, convenient, and efficient, no stress at all, which made a big difference during a very busy time. When it came time to pick up my keys, there was a small miscommunication on my part, but the property management team was incredibly understanding and gracious, allowing me to pick the keys up a couple of days later without any issue. After moving in, I noticed quite a few repairs that needed to be addressed, the kind of things you only notice once you start living in a place. I was a bit nervous about how the property management company would respond, but they completely exceeded my expectations. Every request I made was handled quickly and professionally. The maintenance team was friendly, respectful, and made the whole process incredibly easy. Now that I'm settled in, I couldn't be happier.     I had my real estate license for probably 30 years. The absolute worst experience I could have…read moreimagined. What should've been a simple move-in on a rental was horrific. Starting with the deposit which could've been made online, but I was told that it couldn't only then to be Harassed by emails stating that it wasn't paid on time when they wouldn't let me pay it before I moved in because they needed a cashiers check and I was moving from out of town. Showed up at the property. The property had not been inspected by the realtor. It was filthy. It was turn key. There was no sheet on the bed. The refrigerator was full of food. The shower was filthy. There was no key to the mailbox, no gate code. It is now dark and I am sitting on the porch waiting for the cleaners to finish up so that I could move in a unit that was supposed to be ready yesterday. The agent is very pleasant, but certainly doesn't do the due diligence that is requires to rent a property. I rent every winter in the desert. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had. And fairness to the agent, I will say that he did run out and buy bedsheets. But all of this could have been avoided if he just would've inspected the property prior to telling me it was ready for me to move in. Again, a lovely person not a great agent.
