When I said something the next time I was in they didn't even bat an eye. Didn't want to see my receipt, didn't ask the date...NOTHING...they just handed me $3, no questions asked. I really wanted to like this place specially because the reviews are great. This was my first time here and I just have to say I was less than impressed. As a mom of 3 it's rare when I get to go out and treat myself to something like a manicure. It has been over a year since my last one and I was so excited. Sooo satisfied and happy definitely coming back here in case I come over again with overdue nails lol! We are new to the area and was recommended here, brought in my 2 daughters and myself for 2 full sets and 2 pedicures. 1 daughter had a short full set and gel polish 43.00 and the 2nd had a short full set with only the tip polished with regular polish not gel 50.00. i couldn't understand the price increase? So when i asked i was told they charged extra to do a painted tip on the nails. So you mean to tell me you charge 7.00 to paint the tip?. Well i didnt make a big fuss but i don't like with ppl nickel and dime you and then give you a lame excuse. They did a good job I'm not bashing that but I'm not ok with the over charging. Called ahead and was told it would be 30-45 min before they could take two of us. Sounded like she was going to hang up so I asked if they would take a reservation and she took my name. We arrived and they did seat us fairly quickly for one pedicure and one manicure. However, they were short handed and so my husband waited in the chair for about 15+ min for his pedi. The nice thing is that they do have the chairs with the back massager. He was just sitting there for about 10 min until I went over to show him how to work the chair massager. My daughter was coming for a regular manicure but the lady talked us into the gel manicure which is priced at $25. A little above my budget but my daughter wanted it so figure we'd spot for it. There are 5 pedicure spa chairs and 6 manicure stations. I only saw 5 workers for all 11 spots but was busy so they could've used more gel on a Friday afternoon. The place was pretty clean. The salon is bit older and the chair massage buttons were worn off but overall a decent place. Not a huge selection of regular nail polishes but a nice selection of gel polish. Felt $25 for gels May be a little pricey considering a full set of acrylics start at $22. read more

This little nail salon was a okay experience! I was greeted when I first walked in and had no wait time, however when he was filing my nails he filed too much and hurt my finger multiple times. I'll start by saying, Helen the owner is very nice, which makes me so unhappy to have to write this review. I usually only get pedicures here but this time around my usual nail tech didn't have any availability so I decided to come to Helen Nails and get both a regular pedicure and gel manicure. I have been growing out and taking care of my natural years since January of this year so my natural nails were very long and strong and even looked like acrylics. A much older lady took care of me, first did my pedicure which was average. She then proceeded to do my nails and drilled the living hell out of my nails to take off the old gel. I could feel the drill piercing through my polish and into my nail. Once she finally finished filing the everything off I could instantly feel my nails were half of what they used to be, super flimsy and bendy almost paper thin. I had to have her cut them shorter because i knew it I kept the same length they'd surely break. She then painted my nails with gel and left the horrendously lumpy and uneven and even left a particle of trash embedded into one of the nails. She noticed the particle, tried to file it off, and couldn't so she just added another clear coat. When held to light you can see the patchiness and lumpiness of the color on my nail. It's been one week and the gel is already lifting and my nails keep bending all over the place whenever I use my hands for anything. They will surely break soon and I'll have to grow them all over again, something i had been working on for 10+ months. The prices are not cheap at all either, it's not like I can even say "you get what you pay for" cause I surely did not pay that much to have my once glorious nails brutalized by an elderly lady who acted like that was the last thing she wanted to be doing. She ought to retire. And helen nails ought to take better care of their clients nails instead of drilling them to shreds. I wish I could get my money back. I will surely never be back for a gel manicure. read more

Everyone was really nice there and they did such a great job! Mani/pedi felt great and looked awesome when they were done. Really liked this place and I will definitely be back again. Side note: The staff didn't say anything directly, but they were clearly surprised and grateful when they saw how relaxed and easygoing I was with them. It was obvious to me that they must have a lot of very difficult and demanding customers on a daily basis if they were that impressed by the fact that I just treated them like regular human beings. I could tell they really went the extra mile for me simply because I didn't make myself unpleasant to deal with. Absolutely disappointed in the service I received today! I always come here because the owner Helen and her husband Tom provide such a fast efficient service but today I was helped by and elderly woman. She threw a fit and argued with me when I asked her to change her gloves. I was in for a pedicure and she finished with one customer and came right over with the SAME F'N tools and wet soaked gloves trying to work on me. I honestly hate confrontation and I quietly asked her if she changed gloves, she gave me the meanest glare and pulled off the dirty ones, threw them on her tray and placed on new ones...no washing her hands no sanitizer, nothing! Then tried to use the same scrubber and tools with left over callus and nailpolish on me...Helen told her to get all clean new materials and so she stormed off and grabbed new ones.
