Visited Heise Pizza Parlour today on a recommendation. It was so worth the trip! The drive out is rife with views of the river and mountains and makes it hard to focus on the road. Once you arrive there is a large parking lot with ample parking. We parked and walked up the Parlour steps and were immediately greeted by Ru. She grabbed menus, plates, and silverware and sat us in a booth with a view of the golf course. There is patio seating but right now the hornets have decided it belongs to them. The dining room is a good size with a huge round floating fireplace in the center of the room. There is booth seating on both windowed walls and tables and chairs in the center. Ru and a new shadowing server, Haley, came to the table and took our order and gave great recommendations. It was a quiet afternoon just us a couple other families. We started with the Greek salad and jalapeño poppers sticks (which was like flatbread just word to the wise and they were delicious!). We got the Heise Deluxe pizza which had Canadian bacon olives pepperoni sausage bell pepper mushrooms and onions on it was so friggin' tasty! We enjoyed everything and got full quickly so we have pizza for dinner! If you make your way out to east Idaho definitely go out for the views and hikes and stay for pizza. May 12 2024, dinner time. Wait for table was ok, inside was 85 degrees Wait for server was very long, had to ask the girl at the door to send one. Pizza was very average, nothing exciting at all. We wanted to sit outside but we're told there was no seating, after we ordered (to go) we saw several tables and sat at one for 45 minutes while we waiting. We were stranded in the area for a few and camped down the road from here. We were skeptical about the place as we aren't big pizza people. We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. We ended up eating there all 4 nights. Everything was outstanding. The staff - all young people were great & so professional and friendly. Beer and food prices were very reasonable. The worst service ever! Our pagers battery was burnt out and they never informed us that our meals were ready. We sat there for 40 minutes thinking they were just slammed until we saw them bringing out other people's food when we sat outside. Our food was cold and the pizza had started to dry out. We had to go up and get ours while they brought everyone else's out after they told us they don't table service those who sit outside. We won't be going there ever again. read more

July 29th, 2017. The decor is nice and sunny the music was Jazz. We were seated right away. Our sever seemed friendly. We placed our order. Our waitress forgot about my Huckleberry Lemonade and I had to remind her. We waited over 30 mins. to get our food. People that got seated after us and ordered after us were served. Then came my order of Pebbles French Toast so we thought the rest of our orders would be coming out too. Over 15 mins. later here came the rest of the orders. None of our orders were hot but more like lukewarm. The food was good but the timing of our food was not. Portions are large. Restaurant is clean. They also have large selection of pickled items on the bar I wasn't sure what they all were. The waitress seemed oblivious. She was kind. Because our food was lukewarm and came out at different times I am giving it a 3 star. Heise Pizza Parlor is always a fun place to stop. I've consistently had great service and the food has always been delicious. Over the years I've tried a variety of menu items, the jalapeño popper sticks, chicken Alfredo, Heise deluxe pizza and the bbq chicken pizza being my favorites. I aso highly suggest ordering the German pizza, which after recently trying it for the first time has also made it to my list of Heise favorites! read more

I grew up eating here after a day of playing, and up until last year the pizza was so delicious. Unfortunately last year they told us they had a new pizza oven and changed their dough recipe. We went in last year about a week after they reopened and gave them the benefit of trying to figure things out with their new oven. Well today we tried it again and sadly we will never be returning! Service was slow, yes they were busy, but I was told they could make more pizzas in a quicker time than they used to. Man was that a lie! All of our food came out at different times. First was 1 kids meal and the side of fries for another kids meal. Next the appetizer sticks which had to flavor! Then 1 of our pizzas came out and about 5 mins later we got our final pizza. The table next to us got their two pizzas before we were finally served and we had been waiting for over 45 mins before that table even arrived. Everything was very flavorless!!! I always looked forward to eating here, and up until last year I loved taking my kids to a place I loved going to at their ages. One of the BEST pizzas I've had in my lifetime and I have been coming here since I was a toddler. A must go-to especially after a swim and soak at the adjacent Heise Hot Pool or on the way back from Kelly Canyon Ski Resort or during a local camping stay. (Oh and they have a golf course too.) The Heise Special has always been a favorite and the rest of my family loves The Sink. (Everything on this one including shrimp. Being allergic to shellfish, I'll have to take their word for it.) They've expanded their sandwich and salad options over the years and have just about something for everyone. It has a flavor and smell that is not matched by any pizza place I've ever eaten at and was one of the first places I HAD to go to whenever I was visiting the area. Now that thankfully my family and I have moved back after 26 years in SoCal it is one of our regular stops. The service can be a little slow at times but the pizza is always worth the wait. A little game room downstairs is fun for the kiddos too. During the summer and fall it is always a pleasure to sit on the covered deck at the picnic tables to have a slice and cold beer and the cozy fireplace inside is wonderful on a cold winter day. read more

They got my order wrong and gave the most half assed salad. I don't think I would ever come here again for such poor quality food.

I ordered two pizzas, a large margarita and a small pepperoni. The pizza is good, but they overcharge for it. I also ordered the crab bread which was alright. When I asked for ranch for my kids, they tried to say I only get one. I had to argue to get two more- at least one each order of Pizza and side even though I paid well over $40. They said I would have pay .50 cents for each additional ranch. Then the small cups of ranch were only filled not even half way. They need to have better customer service and re-evaluate their stinginess on sauces. The hallway to the bathroom also reeked of urine. I won't go out of my way to go here again. read more

Cheese was low quality and tasted like something I could have purchased at Walmart and defrosted. 15$ was too much for this kind of pizza. this place is a joke and has gone down hill. We came in expecting to wait 40 minutes as it is a friday night, we sat there for two hours before our food arrived. the waitress and manager who were checking on the other tables while blatantly ignoring us while talking to every other table. the manager blatantly said that we didn't seem "cool" when another table asked about our tables They gave us a "discount" of $2.50. i will never eat here again after eating here as a kid, i do not recommend read more

Went there with my family, a party of 8. They were busy so they put us on the wait list and said it would be 30 to 40 minutes. We sat down and waited patiently until customer after customer that came in after us was seated right as they walked in. I followed one group of 6 after 45 minutes of waiting to watch the hostess seat them on the patio at a table that was large enough for the 8 of us. After pointing this out and being finally seated we waited over an hour for our burned pizzas that are over priced. I will not be spending my money here ever again. I ordered the French dip, and my cousin ordered a pizza, and my French dip came out 35 minutes before the pizza. The French dip was pretty gross anyways so I ended up eating some of the pizza, the only reason I'm giving it two stars and not one is because the pizza at least wasn't terrible. Since moving to Rexburg Heise Pizza has become our go to pizza place. I love the crust and the fact that it is not greasy or oily. The toppings are fresh and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend Heise Pizza Parlor. read more

The atmosphere is great here. Casual dining with a rotating fire in the winter and al fresco dining in the shaded deck overlooking the golf course in the summer. My family and friends have been coming here for years and have always enjoyed the place until Mothers Day 2017. After eating pizza, my wife suggested that I take my son and two friends out golfing while the girls hung out and enjoyed frosty beverages. We was having fun until we got to hole 5 and got behind a group of 4 that was sharing 2sets of clubs (the owner was very adamant that we each rent our own set of clubs) and was taking their sweet time as they would tee off and then have social hour. This continued the entire time from tee box to the green. Even after they finished putting they would stand on the green and chit chat. After a couple holes and the sun beginning to set, I called the clubhouse to complain. I was on the phone with the OWNER, and after explaining my concern, the first words out of her mouth was "let me guess... it's the group of Mexicans." Excuse me I replied. Actually this is the group of Mexicans! (Well 2 1/2 of us are Hispanic haha.) She then argued that we was the only ones on the course. After a conversation she said she would walk out and figure out what was going on. The group ahead was escorted off the course as they wasn't supposed to be there. We finished golfing and went to return our rentals. The owner then tried to back peddle her remark and when was questioned about what she meant... she responded that she didn't know while having a big ugly smirk on her face. Really good pizza. Odds are if you're out in Heise, you've just finished a round of golf, or skiing at Kelly, or had a soak in the hot springs, etc. If that's the case, you'd probably find this place a five-star joint. When you're hungry, it really hits the spot. The atmosphere is great. The view of the golf course is nice, and if you're there in the summer, eat on the patio. In the winter, the fireplace is where you want to be. Either way, its a really pleasant place to have a slice. read more
