Wade is a master craftsmen and you can truly tell from both the quality of his work and the care he takes to make sure to do the best engraving possibly. I needed my two pieces of silverware to be engraved and he did them on the same day! They were so lovely and the friend I gifted them to adored them. Truly a gem of a business! I found out that not only did they do the engravings for Tiffany & Co but Wade also engraved the watch of one of the first men on the moon. How amazing! I highly, highly recommend this business. In fact, I may just go get something engraved here again very soon :) read more

Wade at Heirloom Engravers is exceptional. I came to him with a very tall ask and an incredibly short turnaround, and he truly made the impossible possible. From start to finish, Wade was kind, attentive, professional, and incredibly accommodating. He went above and beyond to make sure everything came together perfectly, and somehow made the entire process feel effortless despite the tight timeline. The finished pieces were exactly what I had hoped for. I am incredibly grateful for the time, care, and craftsmanship Wade put into the project. It is rare to come across this level of service and genuine willingness to help. I cannot recommend Wade and Heirloom Engravers highly enough! read more

I wish I could give 10 stars. I needed 3 pens engraved with same-day turnaround. After calling 10+ shops in the Bay Area, Heirloom Engravings was the first to say they can do it - and they really delivered. Wade, the Master Engraver, is a true craftsman. He knew the materials inside and out, guided me on the best lettering style, and his workshop reflected someone who genuinely loves what he does. The end result was stunning and I couldn't be happier. I'll absolutely be back and would recommend Wade to anyone looking for quality and exquisite engraving work. read more

Heirloom did a perfect and speedy, fairly-priced engraving on a sterling silver Tiffany bowl that came out great. My project included a custom design on the curved surface of the bowl, along with an engraved date. The work looks amazing and they were very easy to interact with. Dropped off Thurs and was ready Tues, coulda been even faster if needed. They apparently have a history of engraving for Tiffany, and it's clear that their primary business is NOT bowling trophies and Little League plaques. I visited 3 other shops before going with Heirloom and it was a night and day comparison in their favor on expertise, confidence and quality. read more

What stood out beyond the quality of the work was how smooth the whole experience was. They were clear and communicative throughout, walked me through my options, and let me make the choices that felt right rather than just pushing me in one direction. They even took a genuine interest in the piece itself, which made the whole interaction feel personal rather than transactional. It's rare to find a local shop you can truly trust with something meaningful, and Heirloom Engravers has earned that trust with me. I'll definitely be back. read more

Wade engraved a set of 11 zippo lighters which I gave to my groomsmen and officiant as gifts. Each was a different design and they all came out beautifully. I was blown away by Wade's attention to detail, all while providing a great price and a remarkable turn-around time to accommodate a groomsman who was only in town briefly. I will absolutely be returning to Heirloom Engravers for special gifts and keepsakes. read more

I needed to have a watch I bought for my father's retirement engraved. It is surprisingly difficult to find engravers. The places I called either do not engrave jewelry, lack equipment, or do not have the expertise. That is why I am thankful I was able to find Heirloom Engravers via Yelp. I took a day off and went to their shop. I was able to have the watch looked at and a quote provided for the work. I wanted them to put my father's name, date of retirement, and a simple message. They performed the work and it was done after a few days. I was impressed by the work because it came out really well. The font used was clear and very legible. It was also centered correctly in the back of the watch. There was no issues with the work at all. The only difficulty is that their location and hours are not easy unless you are in the area already or live in SF (I am in the peninsula). I would say plan accordingly and call in advance to make sure of their hours. I recommend them for all of your engraving needs. read more

Wade and his wife run a lovely business! It was a quick turnaround to get the charm on my ring engraved, which I appreciate; It was ready within 3 business days! It's hard to see the initial engraved on the charm since it's so small but the fact that he is able to do such work is quite awesome! Albeit, the initial engraved on the charm is off centered but I still love it. I would definitely come back and bring other items to engrave. read more

I run a small jewelry biz in MI, and while on a trip to SF to babysit our grandson, I brought along a project that needed the help of an engraver. I landed on Heirloom Engravers and couldn't be more pleased! Wade and his lovely wife welcomed us into their shop, and Wade took on my special engraving request (even though hand engraving is something he hasn't done in years!) He did an excellent job, and even offered my husband and I a full tour of his studio. It's incredible, and TRULY he can handle ANY kind of engraving- and he takes such care with his work. Thank you, Wade and Mei, for helping me out with this project. I sent photos to my clients and they are thrilled- they can't wait to give this necklace to their granddaughter for her birthday next week! read more

I brought my gold signet ring here to get engraved. I didn't know much about engravings, fonts, sizes, etc, and Heirloom Engravers spent a lot of time educating me and showing me different options. They were very helpful and didn't pressure me to make any immediate decisions. The engraving I ended up getting looks great and it only took a couple days to receive. read more

With over 40years of experience working in SF, Heirloom Engravers knows their stuff. They can do glass, metal and leather (and more, I believe), with swift, friendly service. Specialty engraving is becoming a lost art; but, San Francisco is still fortunate to have a master engraver, Wade of Heirloom Engraving! He is a true artist but also the consummate gentleman. I recently needed a sterling silver Tiffany baby rattle engraved and Wade did an amazing job! He has a master's eye and takes pride in his work. With such a specialty skill set, you would assume his fees would be exorbitant, but it's just the opposite. For my recent project, I increased the scope of work after the original consultation, but he stuck to the original price. I offered to pay more, but he politely declined saying it was a straight-forward project. Wade is a delight to work with and I am looking forward to collaborating with him on my next project. read more
