Never been here before but my husband's friend recommended them. I have a Rolex Air King that stopped working and my husband brought it there. Maria, the watch servicer, called me to tell me that some Jewel was broken and she has to order the part so it will cost more than the original quote I agreed. We will see how the repair will go. read more

It was quick and the price was reasonable. Just wish the hours were a little longer. Cash only for battery replacement. I'm not sure if it's for all services or just batteries and watch bands. I didn't have any watch repairs done. read more

Maria does excellent work and great service and . Rebuilt my watch, works great. Went back for a new battery when it needed one. I highly recommend you see her. read more

Maria did a great job with readjusting my Omega watch, passed down to me from my mom, as well as doing a full service cleaning for only $40. I still can't believe how professional she was and how long she's been doing this for. If I had done this through a certified omega dealer, it would've cost me upwards of $550 or more. Appreciate all the help and finding Maria, I can't believe this all took less than 24 hours! read more

Very knowledgeable and the only watch repair expert I could find in San Francisco who was able to repair my old family time piece. VERY HIGH MARKS. read more

I have used Maria's services on and off over the course of 8-9 years to repair or teadjust my watch. Maria provides outstanding services at very reasonable prices, i would even say a tad low for the caliber of work she delivers. She is dedicated to the watch making craft and you can see her excitement at a fresh challenge. She is old world polite, pleasant and always wears a smile on her face... but most importantly, sincere.I highly recommend her to anyone in need of a great watch repair, she delivers! read more

Maria is hands down the best watch maker you will find. She is knowledgeable, kind, and fairly priced.

My late husband was a watch collector and for years entrusted all his watches, both vintage and new, to Maria at Precision Time for cleaning, maintenance and repair. I continue to rely on Maria to keep what are now my watches in top condition. The quality of her work, along with her engaging personality, makes Precision Time a unique and treasured business. read more

Super fast, affordable, and did a great job! I had a higher end watch I needed to resize and she got it done within 15 minutes. She also was very nice and helped recommended another shop for jewlery repair while I was there. I highly recommend. read more

Consistently inexpensive fast and accurate. I cannot say enough great things about this place. Been a customer for years.

Inherited an old Seiko Pulsar analog+digital that no longer worked. Wasnt sure it was worth repairing, but decided to check out Precision Time. Maria -- the owner -- immediately met me at the counter and jumped right in! She knew exactly what type of Seiko it was; popped open the back and investigated. I was hoping maybe it was just a battery replacement but no, more serious damage. Maria was very honest: told me her analysis, said she couldnt fix it, but offered up some suggestions. Very kind and very fast. I will definitely come back next time I need watch repair. read more

I work around the corner and just got my new watch in the mail, it needed to be resized so I walked over and was in and out in less than 10 minutes! This is a great shop and I am happy I found it. Cash only, but the prices are so good you won't mind. read more

Precision Time - Watch Repair Near Me - San Francisco, California

I've taken two watches here for resizing. First watch was handed down to me by my father. Maria resized it, no problem! A year later, I returned with a preowned GS sport watch. It had two badly stripped screws, but with a lot of patience, and drilling, Maria was able to remove them and resize the watch perfectly with my replacement screws. The job took much longer than she anticipated, but it was a success in the end and I couldn't be happier. Maria, you really are the best!! You bet I'll be coming back for all my watch servicing! read more

I had issues with two watches. She solved one and was honest about the other. I started by describing the issues with my ~10 year old quartz Timex that I had probably broken replacing a battery. I asked if it was fixable and she said honestly no. Lesson learned: pay the $10 to have a professional replace the battery. At least the watch I ruined had lived about a decade and didn't cost much in the first place. Then I got out the second: a 1970s vintage Timex automatic that needed a band to fit in the (obselete) 19.5mm lugs. Peroid-correct is a flat black leather band, and she didn't have a lot of bands to choose from that fit the description. But once I found a 20mm that seemed to run just a bit small, she managed to install it. That's the skill that comes from experience that I couldn't have done at home (and if I had tried, I might have wrecked the watch). It was also nice to see her interest once I started asking about the vintage automatic. Even for a relatively inexpensive watch, there's something fun about keeping a vintage watch working, and I could tell she was amused. read more

My husband asked me to find a place to get a new band put on his watch. I showed up at the delightfully named James one building and found Maria on the third floor. There was a woman ahead of me with many watches to be taken care of, but I waited patiently. I explained the situation and showed her the old watch and new band. 24 hours later, I returned to pick up the watch. It was done perfectly and ten dollars cash seems eminently reasonable. Mission accomplished! read more

Great and fast service. Friendly and reliable work. Quoted me a higher price but one sure opened my watch she said it would be cheaper.

Finding a good repair shop for watches is hard to find. Finding one with an amazing owner and outstellar service is quite impossible. Until you go to Precision Time. Saying that the owner is friendly and knowledgeable would not be fair. She took my 5 watches for service and knew something very specific to each one of them. I only requested battery replacement but she polished all watches and changed some parts for no additional costs. She will usually try to do same day service if possible. Also, she only takes cash! read more

Amazing!!!! Brought two watches in the other day since Ben had left both hanging out in his junk drawer for about 4 months... I was going to take them to the watch repair in Macy's, but since this place was closer and had better reviews on Yelp, I decided to stop in. I was met with a kind lady who knew I walked in even though she seemed fully engrossed in what she was doing. She looked up with a friendly greeting and I handed over the two watches. I honestly thought I would have to come back the next day or in a few hours, but nope! she asked if I was on my lunch break (which I was) and she said..come back in 30. minutes! So I left and came back in 20...sure enough they were good to go and good as new! Nothing beats fast, efficient service! Total bill? $20. Sweeet!! No need to look further..this will be my watch repair shop for as long as I'm in SF! read more

Been a loyal customer at Macy's watch repair for years but when I checked the most recent yelp reviews, sounded like the service provided by the new management is bad so I decided to try this place yesterday based on the excellent yelp reviews. All I needed was a new battery. The lady was friendly, professional, I was in and out in minutes and paid $10. You can tell she's taking COVID best practices seriously - I felt very safe and appreciated her attention to detail. She even cleaned my watch (silicone band) and when handed it back to me, did so with paper towel wrapped around it. Guess I'll be coming here from now on! They also do engravings, which is good to know (I'll definitely come here for personalized gifts). Thank you for the great service! read more

I took my mother-in-law by PT to get two watches repaired. They were both gifts with sentimental value, and so mommy was looking forward to getting them working again. The shop's owner Maria was awesome. Friendly, professional, and honest. She talked us out of spending a lot of money on repairs for both watches. Yep, it turns out the gifts were literally "costume jewelry." Not built to last, and definitely not worth repairing. So while my mommy and I were disappointed that we left the shop with her time-telling keepsakes in no better condition than when we arrived, we were pleased that Maria did her watch diagnosis free-of-charge, and talked us out of making even minor repairs like changing the battery. I definitely will be back for future watch repairs. Plus, you can't beat Precision Time's secret location. It's tucked away in an office building sandwiched between the Levi's store and the Westfield SF Centre Mall. There is a whole menagerie of little shops and vendors up on the 3rd floor where PT is located. It's worth making the trip just to experience the odd coolness of it all. read more

Wow! So glad I found this place. It's conveniently located next to Westfield Mall, so right off the Powell MUNI station. The woman who works inside was very friendly and replaced the battery on 2 of my MK watches for $20 in less than 10 minutes - without an appointment!! I would HIGHLY recommend her! *cash only! read more

Replaced my watch battery in 5 mins! three years ago another local watch store (5 stars on yelp, hundreds of reviews) charged me almost four times as much , saying that it was a special order battery, blah blah..... My previous review of the business has been stolen and removed by some dishonest people, and other people's reviews seem to have used phrases I wrote from my review. Nice friendly and fast service, what else to ask?! As a side note: cash only! Do recommend for repairs. Mine was simple, cannot comment on more complicated repair services. read more

I LOVE and TRUST this place for all my watches, regardless of them being most expensive or standard. The lady here is so sweet and would give you the most reasonable cost ever. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this place!!! read more

I took my watch here and the service I got is A+. The first thing that was done was slowing down my movement a bit and then some bezel work after that and I am really happy how my watch looks and wirks right now. Thank you! Maria may seem like a sweet lady and she may be good at changing batteries and doing simple fixes, but my experience is anything but positive. A long time ago I brought in a watch, which was a gift from my grandmother and therefore had great sentimental value to me, for repair because it just wasn't keeping time. At this point I don't remember the exact dates nor the number of times I brought it in, but each time she kept it for an inordinate amount of time--once for months--told me all sorts of stories and gave me all sorts of excuses about why it was taking so long, charged me hundreds of dollars and in the end it still never worked right. Plus when I picked it up the last time, she told me that if it malfunctioned again she would refuse to work on it. Then after all that time and money told me not to wear it regularly leaving me scratching my head wondering what was the point of the repair anyway. After that last visit it was only a few weeks before it started to malfunction again. So I brought it to Raymond at Clockworld on Pine Street--where I should have gone in the first place. There after just a couple of weeks and a simple cleaning that cost me less than a hundred dollars I picked up the watch in early December and it is still working perfectly. As far as I'm concerned, though she comes off as sweet and nice, Maria is at best incompetent and at worst a scam artist who I would never do business with again. I feel totally duped and if I could, would give her negative stars. If you need a watch repaired I suggest you take it to Raymond and avoid Maria. PS. There's probably a reason Maria only takes cash. Paying with a credit card would subject her to contested charges when work wasn't done properly. With cash the customer has no recourse. read more

Needing battery replacement on a couple of watches, I walked into Precision Time right after this father & son, who were looking for some links to be taken out of his watch The super-nice lady suggested for me to leave my watches & finish up my errands & by the time I was ready, my watches would be too........this was great so I didn't have to wait while she finished helping the people in front of me Came back after my errands were finished & sure enough, my watches were ready. Best part? The price was only $18 (FOR BOTH) This is way cheaper than the place I usually frequent.....I think I've just found a new go-to!! read more

This place is great! I came in here for the first time today for a battery replacement in my watch. From the time I walked in, changing of the battery, setting my watch to the current time (which I might add, nice touch!), to paying and leaving: It literally took 3 minutes for the whole job! On top of her efficiency, I have to say her prices are great too. My battery replacement only cost me $7. This place accepts cash and checks (for over $15), It is located on the 3rd floor of the James Bong Building and about half way down the hallway. I definitely recommend going here for all of your watch needs! read more

While the building is a bit hard to find (just a small doorway), once you get to the office, you'll find a woman hard at work behind her desk. I had a watch that was several years old, with many pits & scratches in the crystal, & I'd wanted the band buffed & polished. Would you believe that not only did this gem of a woman offer a very reasonable price, she was honest enough to tell me it'd only be worth the cost if the watch had sentimental value to me. When I explained it didn't, she plainly said, "Just buy a new watch." That ALONE will have me coming back to this business. Why? Because it tells me she's honest & doesn't try to sell me something I didn't need. And that, my fellow Yelp'ers, is what you call exemplary customer service. She's gained my trust, & in turn, she'll gain any further business I have for her, not to mention referrals should someone ask if I know a good watch repair place. OH! She was closing at 5:00, I ran & made it at 4:55. Yet she took her time & I didn't walk out until 5:10. Incredible customer service!!! If I trust her to repair a watch that never got repaired. You should take yours in NOW! read more

Precision Time - Small entrance, address is high, so look carefully! - Watch Repair Near Me - San Francisco, California

Avoid them for precious watches. They adjusted the bracelets on a brand new (also expensive) watch gift for me. They took out 5 links, but managed to leave very visible HAMMER MARKS on FOUR links on the watch! It is very sad for that to happen. :( If they don't have the skills or tools to do certain things, they should tell the customer up front. read more

I inherited an old Rolex from my grandfather that had a scratched crystal. The proprietor buffed out the scratches and it looks good as new. I also thought the price was fair. She also opened the watch up for me so I could see the markings on the inside and we had a good chat about the watch. The reason this is 4 stars instead of 5 is timing and communication; I brought it in before a long vacation and she said it would be ready well before I got back, but when I returned she said "it will be ready next week". I showed up a week later and it was done, but I hadn't received a call letting me know. If I'd just been told it would take 4 weeks I'd be fine with that, but I don't like guessing. read more
