The cost of the new roof was competitive, in fact somewhat lower than other companies that I looked into. During the roof installation a worker came completely through the ceiling (NOTE: The roof was in very poor condition.) David P. immediately called and a contractor came out to access the damage. The contractor, Mike, was friendly, thorough and worked with my busy schedule to fix the ceiling - he did a very nice job. The roofers for J.O.N. were friendly, fast and their cleanup was thorough. The entire roof installation took one day. The major issue I had was with the company that was subcontracted to install the gutters, J&J Seamless Gutters. Albeit, they did a good job and quick work, the cleanup was awful. Large rusty nails were left everywhere! With having a 12-month old grandson, my concern is now having him or a pet play in the yard. I expressed my concerns a few times with David P. who came out with a large magnet to pick up any nails he could find. The fact that J&J was subcontracted via J.O.N yet didn't match their professionalism should be looked into more by J.O.N. The only constructive criticism is I have is that J.O.N. could have been more communicative after emailing their initial estimate and should subcontract companies that match their professionalism; hence the reason 4 out of 5 stars was given. Overall my experience with J.O.N. Construction, Inc. was great. I would definitely recommend them to anyone for their roofing and siding needs.

We had Jacob, the estimator, come out and give us a quote of around $6,000 (plus or minus a few hundred dollars) for a roof leak repair. The crew came out, installed a new rubber roof on our back sunroom, added a skylight, and did some carpentry work. The only communication I received during the project was a single phone call from Jacob, letting me know the cost might be a few hundred dollars higher than the original estimate. The next day, however, someone else came out asking us to sign a change order stating we owed an additional $3,200 on top of the $6,000 estimate. I could have understood $1,000 over, but more than 50% higher with no warning? That was completely unreasonable. Unfortunately, their fine print allows them to tack on costs without much recourse for the customer. Change orders are presented after the work is done, not during the process, leaving you with no opportunity to approve or decline adjustments as they go. In summary: East Penn Roofing does solid work, but their communication is poor and you should be prepared for surprise costs far above your initial estimate. Buyer beware.

I used Alliance for a large roofing project and also to replace a shower base. Alliance provided a…read morelifetime mold-free guarantee for the shower work. Imagine my surprise then when no more than six months after the work was completed, my shower base had developed extensive mold in the seaming between the base and the wall tile. I contacted the owner to make him aware of the issue, and he stated that they had used the wrong caulk and would address the issue by replacing the caulk. However, when they came back they used the same caulk as the first time and the employee stated that was the caulk they always use. After a short time, the mold came back just as before. I contacted the owner yet again and was told I should just clean the caulk and he cannot come re-caulk every year when mold grows (notwithstanding the fact that the project was guaranteed mold-free). What seems more likely to me is that the correct caulk is not being used, or poor workmanship has caused mold to grow underneath the mold-free caulking. After repeated attempts to communicate with the company and the owner to remedy the issue, they have now become completely non-responsive. I would only recommend this company if you are willing shell out several thousand dollars and take the risk of being left with a deteriorating final product and no recourse for correction. Zero stars, do not recommend.

Not only had we read great reviews about Roofing Logic but we knew of two other families who used them and were very happy with them. On the day of installation, his crew arrived early - before 7:00 a.m. and started work right away and these guys worked fast and efficiently. They removed our roof and skylights and replaced the skylights neatly and quickly. It was a cold day but they were so quick we never felt any cold air when the skylights were replaced. Mike the foreman was there to answer any questions and address any concerns while completing the finish work on our skylights. The whole crew seemed like a great bunch of guys who really showed pride in what they were doing. The roof looks great and their clean up was superb. At one point we wondered how they would ever get all of the old roofing cleaned up but at the end of the day you couldn't tell they had been here. They protected our deck and our shrubs during the process and even removed and replaced any solar lights that were in harms way.
