Unprofessional, left a mess, scuffed my walls and ceiling, dirty, clumps of caulk, yellow caulking, leak through my ceiling. Really unbelievable! The shower head had to be replaced three times due to leaks. Six times they had to come to fix different things and THREE different crews. All subcontractors. All showed up whenever they wanted. Complaining to ME that they had to drive 3-5 hours when that is not my fault! They showed little to NO empathy for our inconveniences. I could go on.... So I have had windows and doors put in. Service was great when the installation process was happening. However afterwards, almost non existent and excuses. I needed a window to be replaced and asked about it during the summer while my doors were being installed. He took the measurements and said it would be a few weeks. That was back in June. We are now almost to the end of February and they told me it's on order..... again. And then for the past 3 weeks I have been trying to get information so I can get the tax credit and was told today they are waiting for the manufacturer to get back to them. Excellent windows, but my overall experience with the installation team wasn't great.

Let me start by saying that they do not have any roof, windows, or gutter workers on their payroll--they are all sub-contracted. The actual work and materials are good, and the workers were friendly, knowledgeable and did a fine job. Yes, I saw all the bad reviews here. I took it with a grain of salt because every company has bad reviews. Green Eco Solutions is a company you'd use if you're nervous about hiring your roofing, siding, windows, and gutter company. I was pretty desperate at the time, and knew absolutely zero about any home renovations. But think of it like planning a wedding. If you've hired a photographer, a florist, a caterer, a DJ, and a venue, congratulations--you can hire your own companies for roof, siding, and windows! The sales rep used high-pressure, won't-take-no-for-an-answer tactics, and definitely pulled the 'pretend to call management' to get you a 'cheaper' price. He tried to sell us on all of these add-ons and options that would lower energy savings. At the same time, he was friendly, accommodating with a 'I've got your back' demeanor. And once he walks away, you will never see that price again. Nor the friendly face. Nor the customer service. Also, you will NOT get an estimate unless you sit through their 2+ hour hard-sell presentation, guaranteed. That being said, communication was almost non-existent. I think I've been very accommodating on not bugging them with questions--I've asked a total of 4. I got zero answers. Now, I have to be an annoying jerk and ask again. Nothing. 2 months pass and I've only once asked about timing. Nothing. I then receive 2 days notice that people are coming by to do work. Then two vendors show up at my doorstep not knowing my name or number. Apparently, GES' communication is poor with their sub-contractors as well. It's not like I expect a daily, or even weekly update. But what I paid for, I didn't expect to be in correspondence with someone who seems disgruntled and burdened. The 2 guys bickered constantly, and obviously didn't have a good working relationship. GES eventually replaced them with another subcontractor who were so fantastic, I recommended them personally to everyone in the community. I know--home remodeling is daunting, stressful, and sometimes confusing. Using a once stop shop to do everything is convenient. If you have a huge budget, or not concerned with cost, by all means. Otherwise, with some research and a little homework, I guarantee, you can do better. And I guarantee you will save a ton of money by sub-contracting companies and getting quotes yourself. The initial quote before I had to talk them down was over $70,000 for a roof replacement, vinyl siding, and replacement windows for a 1100 sq ft house. It should cost a little over HALF that. I ended up using GHR Construction for foundation work, and those guys are absolutely amazing to work with. They truly care about customers' needs, and actually work with you to figure out how to save money, and they never over-sell you on anything--qualities opposite of GES. read more

A mistake I made as a person with FOMO. I was given an offer, said no because of the price, got another offer for maybe $5000 less, and took it without thinking it through fully. Always get a quote from as many services as possible! If you say no to one, who guarantees you won't get this good price offer anymore, it's incorrect. They rather have as many possible customers and some money instead of no customers and no money. The workers were friendly, but during installation, they broke my door latch so the whole process needed an extra day to finish because of the new necessary pieces. They did fix the issue eventually, but guess their department didn't know about the extra day. After the workday, I was called to ask for the second 50% amount to be paid, but once describing the situation and saying they hadn't finished yet, I got some arrogant responses. I didn't pay them any second part until the whole contract work was 100% done. The door itself is pretty and stiff so I'm happy about the outcome, but I'm sure I could have got something similar for maybe half the price from somewhere else. read more

These people replaced our roof (with a ridge vent), fascia, soffit, siding, and windows last year. They charged a fortune, but vowed a "lifetime warranty." When our three- and five-year old children developed respiratory issues, a search of the house revealed black mold in the attic. So not only was moisture getting into the attic, but it was clearly not being vented either. GES sent out a "specialist" to examine the problem, and subsequently vowed to get us "on the schedule" to deal with it. We adjusted our previous review to give them an opportunity to do the right thing. Haven't heard from them since! This is a scam organization that takes your money and contracts the work out to fly-by-night contractors. Again, there are CHILDREN in the home, and these clowns are ignoring phone calls and doing nothing to address the issue. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS! Don't use this company, they wasted my time, and were super offensive. They required that "my husband" was there in person with me, as if I couldn't make a decision on my own or without him. This company didn't show up the first time. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled. They showed up as promised the second time, but then refused to email me a quote and was very high pressure sales. $12k to replace 6 French doors and 3 small windows sounds very high. We recently used Green Eco solutions to have a few windows replaced as well as a sliding glass door. The parts arrived fairly quickly and the install took about a half of a day. Overall, we are VERY happy with the quality of the materials and also the installation of the windows / screen door. They said they would have someone come out to correct the improper install, after all the work was completed. These guys came out to pitch my senior citizen retired parents. The sales guy was straight off a used car lot. He ran a script on them saying they had an "opportunity" to be their "marketing partner" and make money for the low low payment of $45,000 to repair their roof. They just had to put signs in their yard to promote the company to the neighbors. He said he might not have "slots available" tho and then had to call his manager who said "luckily" they could still participate. These guys are second rate scam artists. If you are on the edge of their area, I would be cautious, as they try to avoid having to provide service do to travel costs. When I did have a panel issue (3 times) they did repair the problem AFTER getting a guarantee from the mfr. That's positive. When I was trying to get my initial system certified/registered with NJ SREC they were almost useless. I requested a new quote as I wanted to expand my system. They gave me a quote a new system of the same size and after 3 attempts to get a different response, they have not responded. Their website doesn't show solar products/service anymore. read more

They are the only ones who showed us the product and that offered a lifetime warranty. Everyone was great to deal with and we will use them in the future if a door, roof or siding issue occurs. CAUTION! BUYER BEWARE! This company is a total scam. They are writing "good reviews" themselves. There was a guy on here named Pat who used to work for their company on this site pretending to be a customer. I recognized him from his photo. They also used the photo of a woman named "Sue" who had left a bad review and changed it using her name. These people are the scum of the earth! They scam elderly and unsuspecting homeowners. Here is how the scam works. They tell you a salesman named "Bob" is scheduled to meet with you. A guy with a different name shows up and he says "Oh, Bob couldn't make it today. I am here instead." There is no "Bob" because "Bob" doesn't really exist. He is just a name they use so you will agree to an appointment. Next, you will be told your house is "The Bomb" and is a "perfect" model home to get deep discounts. The salesman will make a phony phone call to his company and pretend your home is the best home he has ever seen and he would like to make it a "Show Home." He will offer you 10 percent off installation for agreeing to this. Meanwhile, the prices were jacked up in the first place, so there is no "discount." The solar panels are basically worthless. You will spend tens of thousands of dollars for panels that do nothing. None of their products are of any value. This company used to be called "Gutter Magicians." Of course everything changes when they start the job. I had 2 subcontracted men arrive to do my job and on some days only 1 showed up. They rolled in 930 -10 am every day, argued about what was to be done per the contract and what they were "actually" going to do. They made a horrible mess and did horrible work. I had to stop the job just to get them to come out and see how horrible it was. They also lied about the products. They promised things and never followed through but of course said don't worry you have a lifetime guarantee, great, that and a quarter... The following day, we were alerted that an inquiry was run on our credit. This is completely inappropriate. It took us a while to even find that this was the firm that requested the inquiry, as the service it uses is "CBALV" Allentown. Why would anyone do business with a firm that begins the relationship with such a bad introductory process? SUGGEST AVOID. Shame too, as doing right by the environment is quite important to us. January 2015 UPDATE- Several days ago, I was mistakenly sent someone else's full Experian credit report via an email from this firm's sister company. This included social security number, current and prior employer(s), current and prior address(es), former name(s), etc. Green Eco solutions also does business as "Gutter Magicians" Given the other reviews, and our poor first encounter- I would suggest they drop the name "gutter" as - ironically- that's where the company's current sales and service efforts seem to belong. Reminds me of something out of GlenGarry GlenRoss. The rep tried to sell me a townhouse roof and a couple basic skylights for 500% over competitors and insisted I was getting a tremendous deal--in fact, he said it was a steep discount to repay me for being willing to use my home as a "show home." I had green Eco systems install solar panels on my home in aug 2012. They did not meet code for the electric and ended up being fined by my township for non-compliance. It took a full year and refusal to pay on my part until the work was complete. It is 2 years and I am still fighting in court over related issues. Honestly, I have no idea how this company is still in business. The way they conducted themselves from our very first interaction was unfathomable. After a very rough start where we were essentially bullied into having them come right after we moved into our new home, we had an initial meeting and all seemed ok. Although I told them I was calling for an initial inquiry, they pushed hard to come to our house right away. When I had to reschedule due to a scheduling conflict with our movers, they hung up on me (after I explained three times that I could in no way meet with them the same day our movers were there). They finally came and did a very basic assessment and spent a lot of time trying to sell us some extremely expensive windows. We decided not to get any at this time but went ahead with a basic package that would give us some insulation and a new thermostat. As it turned out, they just wanted to sell us a bunch of expensive windows and were not really interested in helping us lower our carbon footprint. In the end, they didn't do the work they agreed on as they said it wasn't worth their while for the price they gave us! Not to mention, the information they gave us on the thermostat was incorrect or conflicting. I made several calls to inquire about when they were coming to do the work and they kept telling me the manager would call me back. After chasing them up several times, I gave up- even though I have a signed contract stating the work they would do and the agreed price! A big warning should have been during our first call when they insisted on pulling up our credit report for us. I pushed back several times and they were quite unreasonable about me not accepting it or allowing them. Like I said, I don't know how they are still in business and wonder if this really is their business at all or a front for something else. Buyer beware!! read more

A few years ago, my husband and I had Green Eco Solutions at our house for an in-home assessment. The salesman did the talking while another person measured windows. After hearing the pitch, we wanted time to review the specs on our own, but the salesman wouldn't leave until we signed. I developed a tremendous headache and wanted to retire to the bedroom, yet he still wouldn't go because both parties had to sign the agreement. Knowing we had 72 hours to cancel, we finally signed in order to get rid of this man who was holding us hostage inside our own house. The following day, we called to cancel and were told, "Oh, it's too late, the glass has already been cut." Hahaha! What an intimidation technique. My husband had to send a written cancellation via certified mail to insure that no charges would be incurred from this shady organization. To this day, we still receive calls from the company despite the fact that I have made it known, both nicely and forcefully, that we do not want to receive calls. Today I received an anonymous voicemail (from "Allentown PA") and learned via a couple of caller ID websites that it was Green Eco Solutions -- that's what prompted this review. STAY AWAY. We installed 18 solar panels on our home in Lebanon, NJ. I've called at least 10 times to have a technician come out to look at. Our electric bill shows ZERO reduction from the panels. When I called the last time I got some person who connected to the box that shows the panels performance, and he claimed that they were producing. Yet when you get the electric bill there is absolutely zero credit. We spent allot of money on these solar panels with these people and have zero return on our investment AFTer the dog and pony show at the house praising a 30% reduction in our energy. If I could rate them negative stars I would. Now I continually get telemarketing calls from them wanting to install more. I have asked them repeatedly to remove my name from their list, but their response is because I have conducted business with them, they are entitled to contact me. wow. This company is by far the worst I have ever had dealings with. First, don't believe a word they say about saving you 50% on your electric bill. I have been trying to work with lawyers for a breach of contract lawsuit regarding this bogus claim. The panels/inverters fail regularly, they don't conserve or produce anything near what they claim they should, and the money you are supposed to earn via credits toward your kilowats (or something like that) is a bunch of crap also. I've been dealing with these idiots for 6 years now, and if we have received $100, it's a lot. Don't waist your time. Don't waist your money (a lot of it). While energy audit was informative, salesman quoted (never actually left a written estimate) costs that seemed very high and he seemed to "pressure" for a "now or never" commitment. I later obtained three additional estimates for same service that were amazingly close to each other and confirmed that his (GES) verbal quotes were outrageous. I obviously have gone with another company. Must say that two of my neighbors have had work done by Green Eco, and they are satisfied and work seems to be well done but I don't know if they did any price comparisons.
