I take in dogs, and they're not all housebroken when I get them, so whatever goes on the floor, i want to be able to throw it out in a year without feeling bad. I didn't find a really cheap POS for the basement (i was really hoping for some god aweful pattern they were stuck with, but no luck), but I did find a great 8x10 rug for my diningroom that I was really excited about. Not at all what I went for. I have wanted to paint my house for a while in cool greys and pale blues you see in all the magazines, but between my warm wood toned furniture and terracotta tiles, it would never work- UNTIL I FOUND THIS RUG. I've been looking for years to find something to suit my traditional style that could bring in the warm clay tones with the blues and greys I wanted. I am so thrilled. They rolled it up and brought it out to my car. I was concerned it wouldn't fit, but I could have gone even larger becasue they re-rolled it the short way. Even if it didn't fit, they would have tied it to the roof for me. I loved this place. I could have spent all day here. The prices are reasonable, the rugs middle of the road good quality- no $20,000 hand woven stuff, but a lot of good quality at reasonable prices in the $200- $500 range. Not a lot of junk/low quality, if you're looking to spend under $100, you're pretty much out of luck for anything much bigger than a bath mat.

Here's the big thing, Nick met us at the house, early the next morning before we left to drive back home, and took all the measurements so the carpet could be ordered right away. His recommendations for carpet based off of possible wear patterns and our pets that were incredible - a year later and it all looks like it was just installed. He's so helpful and personable - you won't get that from a corporate place. Also, he came out and managed every aspect; no subcontracted crew that may or may not have been vetted by the big corporation. Today, now all our interior stuff is done, he did our entryway. I bought a Jotul fireplace insert from them and had it installed. I barely use any oil to heat my home and I am always so warm and comfortable. It was installed with a liner which was expensive, but worth it. A friend of mine had another company install his insert because it was cheaper and it turned out that the liner the other company used was indeed, cheap and it fell apart! He had Chimney Sweep and their installers redo the bad job the other company did and they wish they went with Chimney Sweep in the first place. It is a family business and the folks there seem to really care and enjoy helping people which is hard to find this day and age.
