We ended up buying more than we planned on because of the service and quality of the products. We bought Douglas Fir 4x4's, spruce 2x10 and spruce 2x4. The price as of 2025 is 20 dollars a person (under 3 is free) and I think there was enough to make it worth it. A bunch of farm animals, a few heated tents of various Christmas displays, also Santa, and of course Eggbert. There was also a game room that had a slot car track and some Pac Man machines (the new retro ones), NBA Jam and some air hockey tables and cornhole in the middle. There is also some food stalls but they didn't look all that great. Obviously if there is a long line it probably wouldn't be worth it. But it was pretty quiet when we went a few days after Thanksgiving and it was definitely 5/5.

I went to Oakenshield last week and met with the owner Thorn (I think that's the way it's spelled). This guy had so much knowledge and spend so much time helping me decide on the perfect cabinets for my kitchen. He didn't pressure me or make me feel like I had to make a decision right away, or even buy from him. I even shopped around after our meeting and haven't found any better prices. At the end I decided to hold off and wait until I enough cash for some of the higher end stuff he has, because there are some really amazing cabinets that are a little out of my reach right now. When the time comes though I'll definitely be buying my stuff from Oakenshield. I did the leg work and the prices and quality can't be beat, and I really appreciate a guy that isn't pushy and know his stuff.

I found the staff extremely helpful- even after I told them I was there for a remnant or supersale mark down for a basement. I take in dogs, and they're not all housebroken when I get them, so whatever goes on the floor, i want to be able to throw it out in a year without feeling bad. I was not a high end buyer, but they treated me like one. I didn't find a really cheap POS for the basement (i was really hoping for some god aweful pattern they were stuck with, but no luck), but I did find a great 8x10 rug for my diningroom that I was really excited about. Not at all what I went for. I have wanted to paint my house for a while in cool greys and pale blues you see in all the magazines, but between my warm wood toned furniture and terracotta tiles, it would never work- UNTIL I FOUND THIS RUG. I've been looking for years to find something to suit my traditional style that could bring in the warm clay tones with the blues and greys I wanted. I am so thrilled. They rolled it up and brought it out to my car. I was concerned it wouldn't fit, but I could have gone even larger becasue they re-rolled it the short way. Even if it didn't fit, they would have tied it to the roof for me. I loved this place. I could have spent all day here. The prices are reasonable, the rugs middle of the road good quality- no $20,000 hand woven stuff, but a lot of good quality at reasonable prices in the $200- $500 range. Not a lot of junk/low quality, if you're looking to spend under $100, you're pretty much out of luck for anything much bigger than a bath mat.
