From the get go, Heidi was so responsive and flexible with us, as we went back and forth with the design concept several times. The final mockup of our wedding invitations blew me away. Not only were they completely in line with the vision, but the cohesiveness and and eloquence of the design brought things to a whole new level. Now, in person the invites are more stunning that could be imagined and we're getting endless compliments from guests. And her calligraphy skills blow me away! Highly recommend Heidi!

We worked with Heidi for our wedding invitations, wedding menus, day-of signage, decor, and escort wall. Heidi was extremely professional, friendly, prompt, thoughtful, and creative throughout the entire wedding planning process. She helped guide us through selecting different styles, shapes, textures, and colors for all the paper and even helped suggest language for the invitations. She also designed a beautiful custom wedding crest for us. She made the process so easy and streamlined. We were thrilled with how unique and elegant everything turned out! If you're looking for beautiful stationary and decor pieces for your wedding or special event, I would highly recommend working with Heidi Davidson. She will understand your vision and create something gorgeous for your special day!

I'm so obsessed with Heidi Davidson Design!! As a photographer, I've had the pleasure of working with her on countless weddings. Not only is her calligraphy stunning but her designs are always fresh, inventive, and creative. My couples adore her and it's easy to see why. She's even helped me with design projects within my business and my families holiday cards. She is such a joy to work with in addition to being crazy talented. I recommend her to all my clients and anyone who needs stationery, calligraphy or signs. You can tell she cares deeply about her clients and her business as a whole. Heidi is THE BEST, you cannot go wrong with her - seriously!

Being the owner of a cake shop in Downtown Fullerton, we are ALWAYS updating signage in the store and for signs we use outside. Heidi is our GO-TO. Her work has always been fantastic and she always goes above and beyond. We have been using her for nametags, writing on cakes, chalkboard signs and whatever else we can do calligraphy on! And we will continue to use her in the future. She is extremely friendly and works really well with our team of girls. Thank you for everything Heidi! :)

I luckily found Heidi via Yelp and I am so thankful!!! I wanted some chalk calligraphy done for two events: My wedding welcome sign and a fiesta taco brunch my mom was throwing the day after the wedding. Heidi not only responded to me very promptly, but she was also so professional and friendly during the entire process, whether via email, on the phone or in person! It was easy dropping off the chalk boards I had and picking them up. She also rents out chalk boards and delivers if that's what you're looking for, but it was much easier for me to drop off and pick them up myself. The work she did was so beautiful that I now want to use her services whenever the opportunity arises! I 120% recommend her to anyone looking for some beautiful calligraphy work!

Where do I begin!? I had the pleasure of working with Heidi for our wedding signage and the work she delivered was so beautiful, chic and breath taking, but beyond that she was so professional, helpful, kind and made the whole process easy and what more could a bride ask for!

First of all, not only is Heidi ridiculously talented, she's also ridiculously super nice! She pays so much attention to detail and really makes your wedding/calligraphy visions come to life. I've taken a calligraphy signage class with Heidi and absolutely loved it AND she did our welcome sign & bar sign for our wedding back in September. She is super flexible and you can pay to have her create something custom for you, provides beautiful sign rentals, and more! We rented her "cards" golden box and it was beautiful on our gift table. Our custom bar sign sits proudly on display on our bar cart in our home, and will remain there forever as a fun reminder of our best day ever! Heidi's work is stunning and she is a breeze to work with. I'd recommend her any day! Photos courtesy of Megan Welker.

Heidi was GREAT! She was super nice and listened to what I wanted. I asked her to do my graduation cap and she turned it into a masterpiece! Her work is amazing and I received so many compliments on my cap. I will definitely be going to her in the future!

Heidi was such a savior to our wedding! She was super flexible with timing and location to match the requirements of our venue and her work was amazing! She took my distressed doors that I had put a lot of work into making and made it come alive. She even free-handed some decor to help fill out the look of the art. Can't thank her enough!

Heidi is a rockstar. I just started a new business and was in need of a logo, unsure if she worked on creating logos, I knew one thing- I loved her work and wanted it as a part of my new business! Heidi not only created a beautiful unique logo for my business, but was amazing with communication and offering up her ideas the entire time. I am so grateful to her for lending me her talents. She is lovely to work with and produces the most beautiful art. I will never look to use anyone else in the future and would recommend her to anyone looking for a great calligraphist and artist.

Beautiful one-year anniversary gift from my husband, made by Heidi!

There were so many cute items to look through, especially for journaling and stationery lovers. I loved all the different stickers, especially the ones for different colleges and universities! Sadly, they didn't have my school, APU (Azusa Pacific University), but I was still able to find plenty of other adorable stickers and postcards to take home. I also got some cute stamps that I'm excited to use for my journaling entries. The items can definitely get a little costly, especially when you start picking up multiple things because everything is so cute . I would definitely come back when my budget allows! Customer service was excellent and everyone was very nice. Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend checking STKR out with friends or family, especially if you love stickers, stationery, scrapbooking, or journaling!

[Parking]: Easy and free designated parking for the plaza and our party had no issue finding an available spot on Saturday afternoon. [Products]: Most of the stickers are original artwork with only a few anime IPs (less than 1/8 of all stickers). I thought their LA County stickers (including some cities from San Bernardino County) for each city were pretty neat. The shop also has some decent Japanese-brand notebooks, toolboxes, pens, etc. Customers can also make their own through the website by uploading their own images (minimum order of 50 stickers). [Conclusion]: The store is not everyone's cup of tea, but for the right target customers this is an amazing store.

This flagship brick-and-mortar location first opened in 2016 and M.Lovewell used to have a mini location inside Contra Coffee + Tea in Old Towne Orange (now closed). At the end of each July, the store offers Anniversary Weekend sales with an additional 20% off most items. [Parking]: There is a parking structure across the street for 4th Street Market. I had no issue finding free street parking in this part of town on Sunday afternoon. [Selection]: There was a tote-making station for a $25 DIY tote (choose a tote color and one patch, tell the staff where you want it, and the staff will iron it on for you) and Build a Washi Tin for $44 (limited-edition 10-year washi tin and choose eight washi tapes to fit inside the tin). I was quite impressed with the cute stationery selection including planners, pens (Tombow ABT PRO Alcohol Markers + Zebra's MILDLINER) from brands like Sarasa, Penco, Zebra, Mono, and Uni-ball, writing paper (MD Paper), cases and pouches from The Superior Labor, greeting cards, stickers, stamps, watercolor boards, Toyo toolboxes, etc. They even offer really fancy pens from brands like OHTO as well as $200+ fountain pens and inks for fountain pens. They have tester pens for customers to try out. On their website, customers can preorder The Hobonichi Techo for new releases for the upcoming year. [Conclusion]: Overall this shop focuses more on Japanese stationery brands (they do not sell MUJI here) and personally this is one of the best pure stationery shops in Orange County. I like this store much better than places like Shorthand, Baum-kuchen, or The Social Type in Los Angeles.

CUTE INDEPENDENT SHOP (4 stats)…read more There isn't much happening in downtown Santa Ana but there are a few hidden gems. Did I overhear that this place has been open for ~10 years?! I stumbled upon this shop while walking around the small downtown and as I walked more east I questioned should I turn around? Right when I was able to this store popped in view and I had to go in! What a cute shop if you are into stationary and pens and etc. I love supporting small independent businesses so I was determined to leave with something. There were a collective of independent products from different companies/artists that sell their items here. I didn't expect to leave spending $70.05 on 5 tiny items. WAX SEAL ($20) - by Made of Honour. There weee a handful of styles available. Very nice packaging. SEALING WAX BEADS 100pc ($9) - by Fiona Ariva. Variety of stunning colors. WAX SEAL HANDLE ($9) - by Fiona Ariva. I believe this is the standard size that fits other brands. BOAT PEN CASE ($13) - by Luddite. I been looking for a small compact pen case for my very few ones that i own and this was what I was looking for. ANTERIQUE BALLPOINT PEN ($13) - I love this mini pen and how it writes. The store DOES sell anterique refills BUT not the mini anterique refills that is needed for this pen. You can order the refills online on Amazon. So here's what gets me about shopping here. - California State Tax (0.5%) - Orange County Tax (0.25%) - Santa Ana City Tax (15%) - Orange County District Tax SP (0:5%) - Orange County Tax SL (1%) ^^ Added an additional $5.95 to the initial subtotal. That's alot in my opinion! Cool store, with a checkout. Until the next review....

We're compared prices on a bunch of items from each of the K-pop shops at The Source and K Place is almost always is a few dollars cheaper than its competitors. Secondly, the album selection is better and you get a wide array of new releases as well as older albums from previous generations. Many of the new releases also come with preorder benefits (POBs) that is only offered at K Place. These attributes also applies to their online store as well which we also buy from when we are unable to go to the physical storefront. The store can get busy especially during weekends but the lines always go pretty fast. The customer service is nice too. A guy let me repick my POB if it ended up being the same member as another POB I picked. If you sign up for their free membership you get $5 off every $100 spent in-store and online as well so definitely sign up for that if you want additional savings. Another thing to look out for is discounts throughout the store. Some popular items that go on discount are usually older magazines and various merch that they're trying to get rid of. Once in awhile, they'll have a stack of freebies by the front entrance too (usually opened albums without photocards, posters, etc.). Once in awhile, they'll host a girl group/boy group photocard trading event too so keep up with their social media if you want to buy/sell/trade your photocard collection at one of these events. Every time I visit The Source, K Place is my first choice for any potential K-pop purchases.

I will start off by saying that their skills as a fabricator are top-notch. Everything that we…read moreended up receiving was gorgeous. If you know exactly what you want, exactly how you want it (materials, fonts, colors), I think I could recommend them. HOWEVER, if you need any sort of design, any sort of support, any sort of person-to-person interaction, prepare for a struggle. We worked with Kathy and her team for wedding stationary and day-of signage. Initially, we set up a skype call to see if it would be a good fit, as we did with all of our potential vendors; she was the only one to set up a visible timer for our meeting and she held to it. It was a little off-putting, especially when we were looking to spend a good amount of money with her. Part of us rationalized that she was firmly outlining the time she had agreed to, but it still felt 'off'. We specifically asked if she would be our singular point-of-contact for the entire process, and she asserted she would be. While we were a little apprehensive, her quote was extremely competitive, and we decided to proceed. Our initial kick-off design meeting iterations presented the first tangible signs of our misgivings - we were contacted by someone that was not Kathy. We were confused as Kathy was supposed to be our singular point-of-contact. Apparently she has a business partner that works with her on all of her design jobs - Angelica was nice enough, but we were still mildly upset that this had not been disclosed since he had asked specifically to avoid this kind of surprise. But as weeks passed and design iterations went on, they did not seem to be getting any closer to our vision - to the point that I had to start mocking up things on my own to push the design closer to where we wanted it (something I feel I shouldn't need to do if I'm paying for a professional service). Even then, we had to schedule a zoom call to discuss our frustrations with the process - we had even discussed amongst ourselves and our wedding planner of buying ourselves out of the contract so that we could start fresh with a different vendor. Only after this meeting were we able to get a design that was close to what we wanted. But then, Angelica took over completely - Kathy seemed to have disappeared; apparently she had also gotten married...and failed to tell us that she wasn't going to be available (which, if it had been disclosed, we could have worked around, or chosen another vendor.) Then came the pricing - over double what the initially quoted. I will take some responsibility here as we did not cost out each price change, but being that each item is priced as a per-piece upgrade (.25 cents here, .50 cents there), it quickly balloons out of price, even on a small order. It feels intentional to lull you into thinking that these are little changes, only to reveal the full price at the end and put it on the client to either pay or backtrack on all of the weeks of design work that were done up to that point (not to mention any deadlines that were established). Once the invites and RSVPs were done, we had to move on to day-of pieces, where suddenly we were introduced to ANOTHER designer. More design iterations, same problems as with the invites and RSVPs. At this point, we're exhausted, we're just trying to get through the design phases to get the products done - we're running out of time, and Kathy disappears again - apparently now on her honeymoon...again, undisclosed. We compromise on designs to just get them finished. We schedule pick up at their storefront and have some difficulty finding the place; no one picks up the phone when we call for some guidance. Finally after circling the industrial park a few times we manage to stumble across it. Pick up is fine after that - everything was packaged well. In the end, the products look great. But given the amount of stress and work we had to put in to get them, I cannot recommend Velvet Fox as a professional design service.
