I reached out nine days before the first session to ask about moving to the following 4 week session since I would be missing two out of four classes. I wasn't asking for a refund--just to switch sessions. My email went unanswered, and I had to call the facility to leave a message before the owner finally texted me back. I was told there are no changes or cancellations allowed, and to simply watch videos for the weeks I'd miss. One of the main reasons I chose this trainer was for the in-person group training and socialization, which can't be replaced by videos. I can find plenty of training videos online. This 4 week training was expensive, but I was very much so excited to grow with a training facility nearby. As a Carlsbad local, I love supporting small businesses, but this experience has been very disappointing. A little flexibility and better communication would have gone a long way.

He is happy to go there and I think he would be happy if Nick came home with us.

The basic puppy classes focus on socialization, simple commands, leash walking, etc. Both of my dogs enjoyed the classes and although they have selective hearing, they benefited from her courses and early introduction to other dogs and humans. She is extremely flexible in make-up classes which is great since weekends can be busy. What I really found to be the most wonderful thing about Andrea is that once you have taken her classes, you can continue asking questions in the future about behaviors, etc. My friend and I texted her about safe introductions and I texted her about resource guarding when I got a new puppy, before she had even met him. She is highly committed to dog training and their success. I also utilized her 1:1 training services for my first dog who has zero recall and had some safety issues as a puppy (opening the oven, trying to jump on counters like a cat, weird stuff) so she came to the home a few times to target specific behaviors. I found her prices to be reasonable and her homework to be useful. Our classes had dogs ranging from 5 pounds to 70 pounds so she can definitely adhere any training needs to your dog and adapts on the spot. Highly recommend! And again, if you're wanting more than just basic sit, stay, lay down, socialization, you would probably want to continue on to the more advanced classes, as the basic puppy course we took was simple and focused more on socialization and basic cues!

It helped build a stronger bond between my pup and I and with her being a rescue it really helped her gain more confidence and come out of her shell. Leash walking was a challange and he was pretty hyper at home and all over the place. When Stephanie met Buster he already took to her. Stephanie is so sweet and has this calmness about her and you can tell just adores pets. She worked with Buster for 3 days and the results are amazing!!! Buster used to always jump on my bed no matter what, last night he actually listened and went straight to his doggy bed and slept there all night no problems. So I signed her up do Topline's in-house training program. She posted daily pictures of Sky so I could see her progress and then one week in I got to go visit and I was literally shocked. I thought she had replaced my dog with a well-behaved one. What I saw next was a true miracle....Stephanie posted a YouTube video where she trained Skylar to willingly get in the car!!! Since then she has always done it and it has been a life changer.....she weighs 80 pounds so not being able to get her into the car meant to going to parks or on hikes and now we do them several times a week. Stephanie was firm.....with Sky and me and we both needed it!! She is always available now for a question or a refresher lesson! I went through lots of trainers....she is by far the best!!

I had mostly good experiences with this place…read more.. A few years ago, my dogs came home smelling like they were rolling in urine and were wet with urine also!!!!! I don't remember if they were scheduled for a bath or not. As it turned out, the owner or manager at the time gave me money back for all or part of the total amount paid. Yesterday, there was another botched exit bath experience. The dogs (one is a husky mix with a double coat) were given to us with apparent baths, since they were soaking wet, but no drying or brushing was done?? My husky took another few hours when we got home to dry and brush and our poodle mix needed another bath since she still had something sticky she ate/drank or rolled in on her face. We paid $85 for both of these exit baths. Not sure why they insist on dogs getting these after 3 or more nights there IF they don't do a good job and have to basically be redone at home. This time, we picked up the dogs after driving 7+ hours home from Arizona. We tried to go back after the first bath experience and they were great a few times, but this time that's it!!! Looking for another place that will take care of my fur babies better!!!
