West of Cleveland has plenty of restaurants, but after trying many of them, things by far the best. First off and most importantly, it is such a great menu with great food! They also make great drinks, have an excellent beer and wine list. A solid bourbon list too. The service was wonderful. The folks all work as a team to ensure the guests are taken care of and tables bussed and drinks kept flowing! Everyone was always pleasant. The drive is simple from any place in the general area. I ordered the Crispy Brussels and she selected the Roasted Garlic Whipped Mascarpone. The pasta was delicious. And so were the Brussels. The Whipped Mascarpone was OK, although both of us thought the combination of the cheese, garlic, lemon, and pretzel crackers were a little too much. Both thought the garlic was too forward, and the mascarpone would have been better with just the lemon and/or perhaps with a touch of honey...even hot honey. The portions were all huge and we each took an additional meal home. Ordered coffee to end the evening and were delighted that they came as French Press coffee rather than just regular brewed. The venue is very nice albeit quite loud. Conversation was challenging, but manageable. We will be back.

I especially loved the whipped fig honey butter. For my entree, I got the Thai spicy chicken sandwich and it was sooo good. I wanted to finish it but I think I filled up on too much bread lol. I felt like the fries didn't really add anything to it and were a bit plain and meh. I liked the fingerling potatoes a lot more. Their desserts are amazing. The restaurant has a bright, airy atmosphere that feels welcoming even on a slightly cloudy day. The staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful from the moment we arrived. Their Happy Hour menu offered several tempting options, and we sampled a variety of dishes. We started with the Crispy Thai Shrimp, which delivered the perfect balance of sweetness and heat. Kitchen Social is known for its artisan dough pizzas, so we ordered the mushroom pizza, and it certainly did not disappoint. We also tried the Korean BBQ Cauliflower and the Shrimp & Grits...both flavorful and well executed. Since it was Happy Hour, we naturally enjoyed a few cocktails to accompany the meal. We sampled both the Maple Old Fashioned and the traditional Old Fashioned, then ventured a bit further with the Tequila Thyme and the Sangria. Each cocktail was well crafted and enjoyable in its own right. Best of all, because it was Happy Hour, the experience was easy on the wallet. Great food, excellent service, enjoyable drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere make Kitchen Social a place I'll definitely be returning to.

The portobello mushroom was marinated in balsamic. I'm not typically a fan of balsamic, but since I love Portobello I gave it a try. Unfortunately the balsamic marinade was too much, I almost choked with the first 3 bites. Both of my daughters tried the mushroom and agreed that it was too much balsamic marinade. This was the first time I returned a meal. Our waitress, Brenda, was AMAZING. She quickly had me order something else, which was promptly brought out to me (and it was delicious). Throughout the rest of our meal she continually apologized. I was not angry...I understood. She made this possibly bad experience a good one. My daughters enjoyed their meals. (Unfortunately my granddaughter did not enjoy hers - she ordered mac-n-cheese - and according to her it was tasteless.) Regardless, I love Bistro83 and I will go back, and the wonderful way we were treated is one of the reasons.

That was honored , so thank you . However , The food was underwhelming at best . We were sat immediately but didn't get our meals until almost 645 . We ordered hot chips for an appetizer and they came on a salad plate? They practically slid off the plate when placed on the table . A basket of some type would present a lot better IMHO like most restaurants do w like apps. I know it seems picky but I feel as though this is supposed to be a little more upscale than an Applebees . My mom and I ordered the Garlic Shrimp scampi , the noodles were Al dente which I prefer , but they all stuck together in a ball , both dishes and there was zero flavor and the dish was hardly hot temperature wise . My fiancé had the chicken Marsala and he said he should have just had a burger . The kids meals were enjoyed more than the entrees ~ chicken tenders and fries were good ! The waitress acknowledged and apologized for the long wait and manager comped us desserts . My mom had the crème brûlée , she did enjoy. I tried a white strawberry type cake , it was awful . It looked great but it was dry and watery when bit into the cake . It's like it was in a too cold refrigerator too long . The consistency was like packed cold sand that fell apart in your mouth . Just not good . I really wanted this to be a great experience, NR is my hometown and my mom still lives there , we visit a lot . I'd hoped it could be a better than it was because the atmosphere is beautiful and the server was great ~ but what is up w the food an experience that wasn't worth the price tag unfortunately.

We had our 8 1/2 month old infant with us. We were led to our table by a rude mind you dis-shoveled looking woman who attempted to seat us between two loud tables of people getting hammered on wine. I asked if we could be seated somewhere quieter and was told there was nowhere else available and there were "important event parties" that evening. We were walked back to the front desk and the hostesses said we could be seated on the patio. The female server we were assigned was extremely rude and short with us. I told our server and the hostess we were celebrating my husband's birthday. Neither acted like they cared (they brushed off what I said) nor wished him a happy birthday nor brought him truffles (which is what Coopers Hawks are known for doing on special occasions). We put our dinner order in at the same time as our appetizer. My husband ordered an Old Fashioned (which he received with a cup full of ice chips instead of one solid ice cube). WE WAITED 1.5-HRS FOR OUR DINNER TO ARRIVE AFTER ALREADY BEING AT THE RESTAURANT FOR 15-MIN BEFORE PUTTING IN OUR ORDER AND MY HUSBAND HAD TO TAKE HIS TO GO SINCE OUR SON NEEDED TO GO TO BED IMMEDIATELY AFTER RETURNING HOME AFTER OUR 35-MIN DRIVE HOME. My husband ordered a beer and it was flat and disgusting. Throughout our 2-hrs, 15-min waiting around at the restaurant, we were never offered a refill of water nor was our table bussed after we at our appetizer and half stale complementary pretzel bread. Our rude server said a man from corporate was in the building and asked us to let her pack our food once it was eventually brought out so she wouldn't get in trouble. She started calling me "hun" and being fake nice once she realized he was sitting near us on the patio and was afraid her job was on the line. When my food arrived I pointed out that I ordered broccolini instead of broccoli and she angrily stared into my soul for a min then walked off towards the kitchen. The female manager working that night brought my broccolini to me once it was ready. I felt afraid to eat it after seeing how angry my server became when I pointed out her mistake with my order. I had to eat before leaving the restaurant since I nurse my infant and would need to put him to bed when we got home. Our server had the audacity after all that to hand me a bill for $125. We didn't leave the restaurant until 8pm and my husband had to take his food to go. When we got home, he opened his food and said it was disgusting. His steak and "candied bacon " were in the same container piled on top of one another. His Betty's potatoes were soupy/not made properly. His "candied bacon" wasn't even candied and was undercooked. We would have been better off staying home that night. WE USED TO GO TO COOPER'S HAWK FOR THE FOOD, BUT WILL TAKE OUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. The food was trash and THE SERVICE WAS EVEN WORSE!!!! ***YOU'RE BETTER OFF DINING AT A NICE RESTAURANT IN CLEVELAND WHERE THE FOOD AND SERVICE IS WORTH THE PRICE!!!***
