I've lived in a few spots on the north side and this is my least favorite HEB. Nonsensical layout is one of the main issues. Having to constantly check my receipt to see if they've honored their deals is the second. Multiple occassions I've caught them not honoring their deals. I was standing in front of register 8 and I was holding one item, the cashier with blonde hair was checking out one person and I stood there because the light wasn't on and I didn't want to rudely put my item on the belt the cashier knew I was standing there and made 100% effort not to make eye contact with me and the same went for the bagger Cameron, the cashier had her name tag covered. While I was standing there I even made an attempt to wave, and still nothing then they let a lady of another descent simply walk in front of me and check out so I then proceeded to put my item on the belt and as I'm checking out they wave in another lady of different decent to check out because they know they handled my situation incorrectly. This morning my friend and I were in the drive through getting her prescription. When she got the bag back out she noticed her debit card was missing the lady told her to check her car and she did and it wasn't there. The manager said the girl didn't have her card and it's not in the bag nor the card I guess it disappeared into thin air after the lady payed for my friends medication. I went to their carwash and it damaged our car! I purchased the $14 and apparently the side brush was too close to the body of the car and left a huge dent on car. I recommend all people not to use this car wash unless if your car is kind of old or old car, not recommended for new cars. if I get this carwash zero stars I would absolutely would! read more

Love my local HEB! I appreciate how this chain embraces the Tex-Mex feels which perfect for my lifestyle. This store has a convenient gas station, car-wash, and a ton of clearance on their plants and out door decor and their produce along with meats... fresh! The entire staff is friendly and kind, love being greeted since it makes the experience so much more fun. The cheese area is my favorite spot in the store, always up for a new cheese to pair with their extensive collection of wines. read more

Do not order a fondant cake here . After the baker complained to me how long it would take her to make the cake. We agreed in just doing the flowers in fondant , that she stated she would have to make 3 days before. A week and a half later she calls TODAY 2 hours before pick up and tells me she could not do it ! I would have thought I would get this call 3 days ago not right before pick up. Completely disappointed!!! So if you are looking for a Special cake for a special party I would not leave it in their hands. Update to this : So when I picked up the cake it was a let down . Thought the only issue was the flowers that she couldn't do in fondant . But the bead work on the cake looked nothing like the photo that I gave her either . I visited the store not long ago and was very disappointed. I couldn't find what I was looking for. I asked a guy who works there if he could help me, he didn't even make eye contact, was on his phone,said he would let someone know so that they could come help. RUDE!! I went to customer service for help,told her what I was looking for, she said if it's not on the shelf,were probably out, wow! I went to check out ,the guy at checkout didn't make eye contact, didn't greet me, Then I asked for a manager,someone told me that the manager was out for lunch and that there was no one else,REALLY!! I was feeling a bit lazy with the humidity polluting the summer air. I needed supplies for my nanny but didn't want to go into a store. After hearing about this H-E-B's parking lot attendant from my friend James, I decided to look into it myself. He recommended for me to find his good pal Evan, which I don't regret doing in the slightest! Boy does Evan know how to do his job. He's the fastest cart pusher I've ever seen in my life, a track star with sonic speed. For an H‑E‑B, I am extremely disappointed with the pure EXCREMENT that they are selling as produce and meat. I'm pretty sure they are getting all of the produce that the other H‑E‑Bs don't sell within a certain timeframe. I ordered curbside and, on several occasions, I have had the most disgusting produce and meat delivered to me. Initially, I just attributed it to the store being new and probably some teen not paying attention. But I am totally baffled that someone actually picked up this food, LOOKED at it (mushy, browning, molding) and put it in a bag. This is exactly why machines are taking over. I would rather get my food from a WALMART than go back to this location. Absolutely disgusting. read more

One time out of bags, one time out of water, Tres Leches taste like old milk, real whip cream cake with fruit on it that sits in cooler at the bakery taste it like old refrigerator, bad salads, undercooked pies and a manager that tries putting people in check outs by cutting other people off. This store just opened two weeks ago and I've been here 4 times so far and I love it!! It has that "new store" vibe that makes it very fun, clean and exciting. Every time they seem to have some type of food and wine samples and I like that a lot! It makes my grocery shopping way more fun. I love that everyone is so nice and friendly there. The pharmacy was very quick with my prescription and they were super helpful answering all of my questions. I was hesitant to transfer my prescriptions to this pharmacy because I thought it was going to be a painful process but they did it for me super quick and they took care of everything. This new HEB is a great addition to the area, considering the area didn't really have any grocery stores, except for an old Kroger a few miles away. The building is designed similar to the location on San Felipe in the Galleria. Restrooms are located directly in front of you when you walk inside. They are running a lot of specials during their first week, like prime ribeye for only $8.97 and BOGO on some Boar's Head products. The parking and driveway layout is not that good. There is only one entrance along 99, and it's located behind the building. There is also a small entrance/exit along Champion Forest. I felt like I was back in California where many shopping centers have only 1 way in and 1 way out. read more

I go to this HEB every once in awhile because it's a lot bigger than the one I go to on Grant Rd. They have everything I need and then some and I really like shopping at this store. The problem I had and the reason I deducted 1 star is because when I checked out the cashier didn't say one word to me and neither did the young man who bagged up my groceries. I suppose I'm used to the chatterboxes at my store making conversation but to not even get a hi how are ya is just poor customer service. We ordered a smash cake for our son's first birthday from this HEB location. While ordering it we spoke to a manager named Joe, and explained that we were getting a super hero themed cake because our son was our super hero. He was born with a heart defect, and at just under 4 months old underwent open heart surgery. Our story touched Joe, and when I arrived today to pick up the cake I was told that he had taken it upon himself to pay for our cake. We love shopping at HEB, and this right here just sealed the deal for us. Knowing that people like Joe work there and care about their customers this much has made us customers for life. I am somewhat disappointed in the choices they had within the meat section. Especially, the beef section as I was looking for burgers and already made ground beef patties 80/20 or just ground beef not ground chuck () but all I saw was ground chuck. I absolutely love H-E-B! I was so excited this H-E-B was walking distance from my house... the review only gets 3 stars because of the meat dept. I was hoping since it was a new store that I should cut them some slack and it'll get better. The meats here seems to be very old especially the beef. You can see clearly most of the meat is brown and if it has bones you can also see the discoloration on it. Sent my husband out for some fresh ground beef, the top looks red and fresh but the edges were dark brown. When I opened the package the smell was so foul, further inspection the whole bottom side and in the middle was brown and I want to say rotten. I was hoping it was just oxidation but the smell and the slimy texture confirmed the meat was bad. It makes me question other meats especially chicken, you can't tell until you buy it and open the package! Other than the meat dept and how disappointing knowing this is a brand new store, the other dept makes up for it! The rest of the store is very nice and the amazing employees are very welcoming. Everything else is nicely organized and easy to find. I hope the take a look at the meat dept and is able to keep up with other H-E-B stores in the Houston area! I will still continue to shop here for everything else besides meat until I see some changes. read more

The store is really nice, there's a coffee shop and sushi restaurant inside. The staff always seems happy and it's not too crowded. I picked up my garlic bread the wrong way one time and it slid out onto the floor, I felt awful but a manager came over and picked it up and got me a new one and was super nice about it. read more

This is for the curbside service offered. Thought I would try this service through HEB and it isn't working too well here either. The server was very pleasant, but the curbside/pick up system is not working well yet. Not here or another Mart place I have tried. My problem this time was a product was not available in the store, and they did not offer a substitute. Then low and behold I checked my bill when I got home and the product was still charged to my account, so I had to call the store back and tell them to credit my credit card the amount of the product I did not receive. What a hassle. *** Make sure you get a revised receipt for the products that are actually in the order when you pick up at curbside. I really don't know why they did not offer the final receipt to me at pick up to reflect the change in charges. Waiting to see if the credit goes through on my credit card account. read more

Yesterday I stopped by HEB to buy a couple of things I needed around 5:00 P.M. I had less than 10 things so I went through the fast lane, my cashier was Rose J. she was very rude about everything I usually am very understanding of people who have bad days but she just had an unfriendly face and she ruined my shopping experience, she was rude to me and my friend when we were paying and her face looked like she was so annoyed of us, I am probably never going back to this HEB, since I do not want to be treated like that again. I have no idea why she was so annoyed but I hope she knows she made me feel very uncomfortable. People like this should not be cashiers. This was my favorite HEB, looks like it isn't anymore.
