This HEB is great. From curbside to in store, they have it all. They have a bigger variety of products, and the shopping area is spacious. Food is always fresh and they just upgraded their weight scales in the produce section so you can tag your produce ahead of time, making checkout quicker. The checkout staff are always so helpful. I went to heb curbside to return some items and this woman whose name is Melissa that could have been a supervisor told me that I must have used food stamps why I couldn't identify an impending charge on my credit card account, which is a very racist and insensive remark. People like Melissa shouldn't be working with the public making racist remarks like that. And the day before, I received my order from curbside and noticed that a box of jello with the front of the box looked like an employee intentionally got a sharp object and mutilated the box and I was supposed to accept the box of jello being in that deplorable condition. And when I called the heb curbside main office to complain again on the supervisor whose name is Melissa and another employee this woman I spoke with intentionally coughing on the phone. I'm sick to death of having to drive back to the store to get the right thing. The people that work here are full of excuses and act like it's no big deal to have a customer drive back up to the store.Last week I threw an entire bag of avocados away because despite my notes , every single Avacado was ruined. what did they say when I called? I have been coming to this HEB and today I was excited because was made aware by the cashier and bagging lady that my flowers could be arranged together. I was told that I was a courtesy service. I proceeded to the flower section and was standing waiting for service and the lady was arranging flowers. I waited a few minutes and no service, I flagged down a HEB employee that pointed out the Lady that had been watching me stand and wait in service. When I approached her; I was meat with an eye roll followed by mumbled speak "do you need a vase or just wrapping?" Just wrapping - I was handed a second ticket to pay and I let her know I was told this was a free service. I was Told - you have to pay for me to do something for you! I reminded her i was instructed it was free but don't need that service if it cost me. I just walked away because getting treated as an inconvenience it disrespectful and unnecessary from customers service individuals. If you can service your customers- let me know. Complete incompetence. We were told they had a specific medication in stock (mind you they "confirmed" they had it, for our pet. After driving 40 + minutes, they couldn't find it.. some lady grumbled saying maybe we called another store because apparently they assume we are the idiots. I asked them if it was the Riley Fuzzle store and they confirmed it was. A girl finally admitted to taking the call and reading an Advantage box.. the medication we called on is called REVOLUTION!! How can you be in the back filling prescriptions and you can't read a freaking name!! Im sure they are mindlessly filling prescriptions wrong at this point without the inability to read but yet they supposedly have to go through schooling. Shopping itself was uneventful. They had what I needed for the most part. When it came time to check out, I want to a register that had a cashier standing in front waiting for a customer. He turned me away saying it was an express lane. I apologized because it was my fault for not realizing. I only saw a cashier with no line. Honestly, no big deal I don't expect rules to bent or broken for me. Moved on to cashier number 2, she greeted me and started ringing me up. Another customer comes up to her and asks a question. Instead of asking him to wait, she ignores me to help him and call the customer service desk on her register phone. If she was helping him first, why didn't she politely excuse herself to answer a question instead of helping the customer in front of her. As she is talking to him and customer service, she taps her screen instead of telling me my total. I generally I like this store it's typical of H-E-B , parking is never enough . I buy the fresh rolls weekly for my lunch and I've seen a marked decrease in size from ~ 6" to around 3" . I understand trying to keep costs but 50% sizing down is ridiculous. read more

So, I called the bakery and asked if they do the custom cakes. The lady said yes. I said the website shows 24-hour notice. I told her I needed it in the next 26 hours. This particular H‑E‑B location is not great. I've shopped here for around 5 yrs and consistently have noticed issues with their expiration dates - I don't particularly want to buy things that state they expire today or tomorrow. I've accidentally have bought expired items bc I didn't check - they have refunded no problem. The deli section is hit or miss depending on who's there - there have been times when they're fast and others where they will be having a full conversation while ignoring the multiple customers accumulating. Also have had issues like the picture before where the machine is clearly not clean before they cut my order. The expiration dates and the crappy produce is the main issues at this location. Also baggers should be a bit more careful - well it wasn't the bagger it was the cashier who was obviously frustrated with the poor bagger who was doing his job just fine. The cashier decided to start "helping" by dropping my groceries into the bags. Including the eggs which made a huge noise - who DROPS an egg carton into a bag from all the way on top?!? I double check my eggs before getting them so I know they were in perfect condition - I have one broken now - I get it it's just one - but it's still annoying considering how expensive everything thing for it to be the result of someone dropping eggs like that. The egg thing is kinda ranty but it just happened so I finally wrote the review I've been wanting to. Oh and the pharmacy SUCKS! If you don't like H-E-B, something's wrong with you. My mom has been a fan for two decades, and it reminds me of the old Real Superstore back home in New Orleans. This particular H-E-B is always en pointe, albeit hella busy during most hours. So I'm here reviewing the curbside. Not all Millennials are tech-savvy (or tech-friendly), so it's taken me a long time to start using curbside in any capacity. Best Buy and The Home Depot caused me to reconsider, and I'm glad I did. Though the H-E-B app isn't quite self-explanatory, it didn't take long to get the hang of setting up a time to pick up my groceries, as well as a compiling my list (the inventory changing depending on the store you select). I got there at 5:00 P.M., the curbside on the east of the building facing Rayford. There looked to be about 20 parking spaces across two rows, with Fernanda, Jaime and at least three others working away; the curbside is a little blue depot where your grocery orders are waiting, and computers match the orders (kind of like when I worked at Kohl's). Fernanda was so gentle with my groceries--mostly boxes of rice sides--with one of the bags tied at the top, which was a nice touch. They knew I was there by me texting my parking space to the phone number posted on its sign. Bottom line, I don't think I'll see the inside of an H-E-B unless it's something I'm unable to purchase through the app. I think I'll be doing 90% of my groceries curbside from now on, despite the nominal fee on orders less than $35. Heck, I even used a coupon for the first time, thanks to the app! Either which way, I already love this H-E-B, and this curbside experience made it even better. Thank you. read more

A member of the pharmacy staff was rude. I went in to pick up my prescriptions and, in addition, get my prescription records to take with me to my surgeon's appointment. The pharmacy tech said you will have to sign a form. She sees my right arm is in a cast and sling. I told her my wrist was mangled along with a compound fracture, and I couldn't sign my name. She said I can not give it to you. She shrugged her shoulder and rolled her eyes at me. She said you have the HEB app, so you can go home and print it yourself! Thank good ness that this store has finally opened! It has only been 10 days I guess but I was a little disappointed in that while it is WAY better than the HEB on Sawdust, it is NOT up to the standards of the HEB in Market Square - so I will likely continue to use the latter until they catch up. Somehow the selection is less, and I was less than impressed with the bakery for example. Perhaps just teething problems. I found the organic produce pricey to be honest - but I guess it is the same at Market Square One thing I did note is that drivers drive through the lot a little recklessly - they would be advised to mark pedestrian crossing lanes between the lot and the store as most supermarkets do these days. read more

Living away from Houston for a couple of years I was ecstatic so live so close to an HEB. It has become the grocery store I shop at the most often. They have everything I need. I am happy with the meat selection and produce. The sushi section is also a family favorite. We can get good sushi for dinner without eating out. read more

This store has become a total DISASTER lately. Additional shelves have been added recently to the aisles making it MORE crowded and hard to find items that you used to know their location. The meat section inventory has dwindled down to almost nothing. MAKE SURE you check that all items you bought were actually put into your cart as they now have some VERY inept cashiers. Today I had to drive back to retrieve a poultry order the cashier kid forgot to give me. They spend more time chatting with each other at the register than concentrating on what they are supposed to be doing. They LOST our frequent business. I even had my mother send me things from H‑E‑B when I was deployed but they have lost a faithful customer. I am followed while walking through the beauty section. The pharmacy is an absolute nightmare. They don't notify you when your prescription is ready or received. They change pick up dates without calling you and explaining why. Their policies are biased and subjective. Their policies aren't even posted to ensure this bias is maintained. If you are black, this location is not for you. We love this store but I just docked it 3 stars because the white flour we purchased there became infested with adult flour beetles in about a 3 month time period. We had a problem with this before and thought double bagging the flour with ziplock freezer bags instead of single bagging would prevent this problem. No such luck!!! I wish I had a video of the nasty thing crawling around. HEB warehouses must be infested with the things. I don't know if I will ever but flour here again, but if I do it will be quarantined in double freezer bags for a minimum of 6 months before use. If no beetles are crawling after that time period the flour is probably free of any eggs or larvae. If this happens again I am definitely making a complaint to the local store and corporate offices. read more

I will never go back to the pharmacy at this H-E-B. I am new to the area, I was supposed to get 27 pills per my doctor's prescription, they only gave me eight. They blamed my doctor, it wasn't her, they blamed insurance, it wasn't them. It was the pharmacist at this H‑E‑B. My husband went back to get the rest of my prescription they said the same thing. They are liars!!! My insurance paid for the 27 pills, they only gave me eight.This place is a horrible pharmacy! I don't know if they're just liars or thieves. But I will never go there again! As I walked in, I was greeted by little carts for children with a little flag that says Customers in training. There were beautiful flowers as well. I purchased a lot of fruit, and the fruit was fresh and organic, you can tell that HEB are selling quality produce. Even though the sushi is fresh, it really is expensive. I like the fact that HEB has coupons hanging in front of the products, I like the fact that they give away coupons, it shows they really care about the customers. Store was very big, and clean and staff was very helpful and nice. It takes 30 minutes to drive to this location, but I will happily drive the distance, for good quality groceries and customer service. H-E-B is, by far, my favorite store. I shop at this location exclusively and do curbside pickups at this store weekly, receiving excellent service from the people who shop and load my groceries. So today I was very disappointed when I needed to make an exchange (bought the wrong product by accident) and a manager refused to exchange it. No exchange, no store credit-nothing but lack of flexibility and kept changing the reason for why she couldn't help me. read more

The Rayford location has a good selection of everything you're going to need. I have 2 dogs, and the HEB Heritage Ranch dog food is always in supply, so I like to go to this HEB. Unfortunately, I had to utilize their curb side last night. Take my advice. Just don't. I'm out over 15 dollars of groceries, and I am ill, and do not want anyone delivering the ones they missed.
