H-E-B is just better than all the rest. This is a great little store. Even though this location is smaller and traffic CAN get more than a little crazy coming in and out, I love this place. I'd recommend visiting during non-peak hours and enjoy perusing and shopping. They have amazing produce, a huge hummus selection ;) , every typical grocery item you could want including sections with fresh flowers, baked goods, greeting cards, office products, toiletries, household items and more. read more

It's the end of crawfish season. But HEB still serving it. And at $7.95 a pound it ain't cheap. I'm not picky when it comes to crawfish but these were noticeably nastier than usual. This is the worst HEB I've ever been to. The parking lot is my own personal hell. Getting in and out of this parking lot is no easy task. I usually do delivery orders to avoid the parking lot, and they are always out of items. Oh well, it's still better than Randall's. read more

I will not be ordering or going here ever again. I ordered groceries to be delivered which I never received. So I called up there to see what happened. Favor stated first they left them at the garage door, but they were not at mine nor my neighbors. Then they went ahead and stated to heb that they were handed to customer, which that never happened. All I asked then was a refund. But I was told because this happened because of a third party that I would have to call corporate on how to proceed. So long story short someone got free groceries and diapers, I am out of pocket for groceries I never received and heb didn't resolve the issue. read more

Never heard of an H-E-B until I moved to Texas, and thus Google became my friend the day I noticed one because I had to know exactly what it's three letter abbreviation was all about. Well to my surprise it wasn't that exciting, being the initials of the original owners son and sadly their last name being Butt, for all advertisements purposes had figured no one would shop at a store called Butt's, seems legit. So I like this stores selection of produce, always fully stocked, in fact on each visit I have always seen someone in the produce section restocking. It's probably my most shopped area at this store. They always seem to have great sales on fruits and veggies. The whole store seems very well kept, and strategically planned out. I mean come on hitting their in house sushi preparation section with their samples adjacent to the bakery, which also from time to time has samples as well. It's pure downfall for me. I cant leave this store without buying a fresh loaf of french bread regardless of "needing" it. I like the concept of no silly store card to sign up for or phone number to plug in during check out, the discounts are exactly what they say they are on the floor, minus the coupon deals which conveniently have the coupons located right there for you to grab. Check out has yet to be a problem, smooth and quick with most of the registers open. The parking lot I believe is a little outdated, seems small and disorganized, and can be a headache to enter/exit back onto Sawdust. I love HEB, but I hate their new digital coupons that you have to scan in order to get the discount. If HEB wants to get rid of paper coupons, just give us the discount automatically when the product is scanned. Smallish HEB, close to I-45. What they do have are good quality products. Perfectly adequate produce section for most people's needs. The deli and seafood departments are small, but the staff serving customers are helpful. The checkout people normally can get you out pretty fast, too. That being said this HEB has very few gluten-free products, which is extremely important for me personally. The larger Market Street HEB has a much better selection, so that's the one I usually do my shopping at. read more

Beware the prepackaged meals in the refridgerated case near produce... They sell them regularly between 7 and 8.50 each, I found one i would like, Broccoli and Chicken Rice w/ Cheese for 7.00. Got home went to fix for dinner and underneath the cardboard wrap was a sticker for REDUCED PRICE due to expiring for 5.25. It is not visible on any of them when i went back in to check some more, but they are there on some that expire same day or earlier. Hence, 1) I did not know it was reduced price until I got home and 2) it of course charged me 7.00 on the receipt because the reduced price was applied directly to the protective plastic and the 3 I brought home plus the others up at store i checked the bowls had been rotated so the reduced pricing was not visible until you rotate it or remove cardboard wrap. This is an intentional attempt to follow the "rules" for expiry and reduce the price for quick sell, without letting the customer know it has been reduced to et full price. I will be going to the other Woodlands location from now on (and checking theirs if i get more, this one was not enjoyable) to do my grocery shopping and will be keeping closer eye on my purchasing. I've never been in an HEB before. They're only found down south - we're started right here in TX. I had to stop here for earplugs (can't stand any noise), while staying at a hotel over the holiday (here to visit family!). This HEB looked to be on the smaller size. Definitely not "Market" size. Headed right in and immediately saw health and hygiene to the right. Got my earplugs and headed to the checkout lines. This place was busy, people getting last minute stuff for Christmas. I found a lane that was almost done with their transaction, so I headed to that aisle. The cashier gentleman was polite and didn't waste any time. This HEB is not the best by far. It meets the need of being close and on the way home, but that's about it. It is worth it to go out of the way to another HEB or grocery store. The selection of foods is okay, not the best or worst I have seen. They usually don't have their fresh tortillas every time I look for them. The non food section is small and they don't have a lot of options for medicines, cleaners, light bulbs, etc. The whole store is very small which explains why their selection is limited. The clinic in the front was useless, we waited after making an appointment and they couldn't do anything we needed so we had to go somewhere else, so don't even bother with that. Also the staff here is very slow. The checkout lines are some of the slowest I've seen. Usually one or two open with huge lines, lots of employees just wandering around. Not a good sight to see. This HEB is right down the street from where I work, so I go here fairly frequently. Store is clean and conveniently located. Employees are friendly, and their shelves are usually well-stocked. As for Amber D's review: it appears that it's HEB policy to not sell alcohol to out-of-state residents. It sounds crazy, but it's not uncommon. I'm not happy with this store's customer service at all. Yesterday I bought $70 worth of groceries and asked for $6 in quarters. I was refused by not one but two different cashiers and told to go to the customer service line which was about 15 people deep with one clerk helping their customers. Okay, I currently working for a business to pick up grocery from H-E-B. Says about wait 10 mins for grocery or call this number. Waited 30 min to pick up grocery for my customer. If there is something wrong I feel like you should come out and tell me directly bc waiting there for 30 mins is unacceptable. Employer came out, white, male maybe in his 30s didn't get a name. He was polite and nice, and he apologize for the wait but I would have wanted a explanation on to what is taking so long. Apparently there is only one person working. Heck y'all need help put a hiring sign out there and get people to show up for work. We understand y'all get busy but it doesn't hurt to tell us we are short staff. I have been to this HEB a few times and so far all my experiences have been good. It does not seem as crowded as some of the other locations. There are not very many registers at the front, but there are not as many customers either so it kind of works out. I have not had more than 1 or 2 people in front of me when I tried to check out. THANK YOU EDWIN AND HEATHER!!! This week, I went to the store. I had all of my items on the belt when the power went out for a bit. There was then a perfect storm of computer malfunctions, scale malfunctions, and a ton of rude customers. Edwin showed genuine concern for my time, and Heather was there to make sure that I knew that they were doing everything that could be done. I mean, it was a momentary power outage! It was totally out of their hands! I really like this grocery store. They have a great selection of fresh fruits and veggies as well as meats. The bakery and deli always have a good variety of fresh goods that are always delicious. My only drawback is everyone else seems to love this store as well since it is always packed. I have yet to go at any time that the aisles aren't full. I needed quarters to do laundry, so I went to the business center to get a ten dollar roll. They charged me twenty cents! Just to make change! I must sya that I am VERY disappointed in my neighborhood HEB. I love HEB but this one is the worst. I called to find out if I had left my phone there. Someone finally picked up after about 15 rings. I asked her about the phone and she just said NO without saying let me check or anything. I asked her if she was sure and she snippily said let me transfer you to the service desk. Then we got "disconnected". I called back and let the phone ring and ring at least 20 times. No answer. I called back again and my phone call was rejected. Worst service ever for an HEB. I recently relocated to the Houston area a few weeks ago. I went to purchase a few items to last me the rest of the week before traveling for the holidays. It was around 8 p.m. on a Sunday, as I was checking out with my items I had two bottles of wine to purchase. The cashier asked for my license which I was more than happy to provide it was not until he looked at my license and informed me that he could not sell any alcohol to anyone that did not live in the state of TEXAS. Really?! I provided him my debit card that also obtained my photo id. That was not acceptable either. He asked for another form of id that had Texas on it. He called over a manager that barely looked legal himself, and he put in my date of birth. No apology was provided. I asked for the district number. I confirmed their names and explained I would never be shopping at their store again. I will be making a call to corporate as I have a high executive contact that will be also expressing their views on the poor experience I had this evening. read more

I go here all of the time but wanted to share an experience that made my day. I wanted to cook some of those HEB burgers that the meat department makes but there were none out in the meat department. It was for a family celebration. I saw one of the people putting out chicken in the meat department and asked if they have any in the back. He said they did not and they had to make them from scratch. He said it would be a little while before they were ready. I told him I would check back before I left but figured they would not be ready by then so grabbed a frozen bag of burgers. He found me down another isle about 15 minutes later with the burgers made and ready!! I could have hugged him. What great customer service and way to go above and beyond! THIEFS!!!!!! complete negative! I purchased a money order that I ended up not needing so I returned to this store to cash it and they still refuse to honor it. First steno they wanted the receipt fine that's understandable. Second time bc I had crossed our the name on the pay to line they wouldn't accept it. Now after researching I returned with all documents in order including my passport for id bc my wallet had recently been stolen. Again they refuse to cash their own money order bc I couldn't provide my Tx drivers license even though I knew the number and had a government id. This store has basically stolen from me. They are thiefs in my mind so I made a cash donation of 175 to a worthless bunch of ppl who call themselves managers. If you don't want to be ripped off never use their customer service desk. read more
